Thanks for the detailed update, Vinu. Jagdu may be right that Anandham could run for another year. They are starting a brand new storyline with Anita's secret life of charitable work and her bonding with one particular child from the orphanage -- she who didn't want to have kids at all in her early years of marriage. And, AC Shankar is becoming more partial towards SKPD, so they will also have to develop the storyline of how he will try to foil ACD's efforts to nab SKPD and possibly even break Jamuna's cover. And, of course, ACD and Priya didn't even exchange glances at Charu's home, so, no doubt, we will have to wait for another 300 episodes!

Thanks Vinu for patiently writing out a detailed update. I know I am not the script writer, but it sounded rather unprofessional for ACD to be telling Charu, "Control, ma'am. Be cool." I know he is friendly with Charu, but telling her to be cool? Actually, my sons tell us that it is not dignified for mothers and fathers to use that term (their way of telling us that we are too old!), but here it seems like the term is okay for use among students or between peers (of a younger age group). While our directors and script writers may want to appear cool (??), maybe they should check on the appropriateness of terms before they write out the script.

Being cool with cool.

Eljay, I don't think it's inappropriate for ACD to tell Charu to stay cool. He's using the term in the original sense of the word of staying calm.

Today's usage of the term, of course, is entirely meaningless. Youngsters use the term to mean anything from "good" and "nice" to "OK", "rocking", "chic" and what not. Indians seem to be especially enamoured of the word. I hear them using it more often than I've heard Americans use it during the three years I lived in DC!
