Sorry folks - missed the last part of yesterday's show -
Yesterday -
Prison Visiting Cell - Inspector Gani visits prisoner Govindan in the prison. Govindan says to Gani that he wants to live a normal happy life with his family. Insp Gani says his wish is reasonable and whispers a plan to him.
Today -
Prison Visiting Cell- Kandavaddi is here to meet Govindan. Govindan looks very distressed and tells him that Insp Gani is pestering him and harassing him to talk and Govindan says he is afraid that he might blurt out the truth by mistake. He says to Kandavaddi that if KV gives him the money and support, he will try to escape from the prison. KV is not too sure but Govindan convinces him to bring his men to a particular junction and that he would stage his escape. He says he will injure himself and the prision authorities would take him to the hospital in an ambulance and when the ambulance reaches that particular junction, he would escape form the ambulance and meet the men. He promised to take the money and 'vanish'. KV considers the plan and agrees.
Prison Grounds - The prisoners are busy digging under the watchful eyes of the gaurd. Govindan indicates with his eyes that it is time and some men come and beat him up. This fight scene goes on for a while and ends with the ambulance coming in and taking Govindan on a stretcher.
AMBULANCE - The ambulance is going to the hospital. Govindan is lying on the stretcher with eyes closed. Some men near a parked car at a junction talk to their boss on the phone informing him that they are still waiting for ambulance to show up.
We assume it is KV"s men. In the ambulance, Govindan strikes up a fight and stages his escape.
KV Karan's office - He gets a call from his men. These look different from the guys that made the earlier call. This man tells KV karan that Govindan's ambulance came, but Govindan ran towards another side and escaped. They had no idea where he was now. KV asks them to give chase, but they say the police security was too tight and they couldn't risk it.
KV calls Abhirami and reports that Govindan has escaped. Abhirami is very distressed. She starts yelling at him left and right. Shyam enters and she immediatly changes her tone and says ok, keep me informed and hangs up. SHyam is very suspicious and says 'akka, who were you talking to'. She doesnt' say anything. Shyam says 'please tell me who you were talking too, it appears that you are in some sort of trouble and i can help you out of it. Abhirami tells him that he is imagining things and asks him to get back to his work. He leaves but is upset.
Deepa's office - She is working seeriously. SHe sees that the rest of the staff have started to leave. SHe looks at the time and sees it is 5 pm. She starts to leave too. She looks here and there surreptiously - it is evident she is planning something.
She reaches the lift lobby and calls Shanti and tells her that she wants to meet her urgently. Shanti says she is in the department store near her house. Deepa says she will come in 10 minutes. She leaves by the stairs lookign worried. Shyam sees her, perhaps overheard her conversation, and follows her. Deepa is driving and Shyam follows her in his car. He looses her in the traffic light.
Department Store - Deepa reaches and calls Shanti. Shanti tells her to come downstairs. She is at the Pearlpet Jar section (I know as I think the store is Amma Nana, the store I usually go to when I am in Chennai). Deepa comes down and Shanti says to her to continue shopping and talk surreptiously.
Deepa tells her all about the cotnract adn the quote she had prepared. Shanti asks Deepa to leave.
Shanti looks thoughtful.
Shanti's House Main Gate - Shanti returns home with Indu and enters teh gate. The 'mentally disturbed' picchakaran turns up at the gate and says hi to them. He tells them that he kept coming to their house and saw the gate locked. Shanti seems very happy to see him esp that he was dressed very well. He says he had been to temples and has found some peace of mind.
Shanti asks him to stay for dinner. He says, i will go and buy milk for you. SHanti hands over the money and looks very pleased.
