Devotion, Rano and Navratri

Hello everyone. We all know that Navratris are going on and today is the 9th day. People observe fasts and pray to Goddess Durga during these days. We have witnessed Baisakhi and Holi being celebrated in the show. I was wondering as to why no one from saluja family observed fasts or prayed to the Goddess?? Let alone the celebrations, I didn't even hear any of them mention the festival itself. I know the house temple is locked but that doesn't stop a true devotee to observe fasts and pray at any of the mandirs.

It is shocking to see a so called pious devotee like Rano to completely ignore the Navratis. I have never even seen her praying daily like any comman person would do before starting their day and before retiring to bed. She doesn't pray in routine, I have only seen her reciting the God's name and the mantras a few times not even 108 that too when she needs the divine help!! Isn't praying to God only when you need anything selfish??? Is it true and pure devotion???

There have been many mythological movies and soaps where the true and selfless devotion of the protagonists towards the God is beautifully shown in a convincing way. The divine powers helping those protagonists all the time was much justified unlike in Rano's case. I have personally seen very pious people and even after so many problems in their life, those peoples' faith remains intact and they pray to God with immense faith in both good and bad times. They don't do the drama or show it off.

Hi. Actually this is the chaitra navratri. Thr r 2 navratris in hindu calendar. 1st chaitra and 2nd like u said arnd dusshera. These chaitra navratris mark the start of our new year. I m sure u heard about vikram samvat hindu calendar. These navratris are celebrated in northern india, mp, rjsthn and other states. I dnt remember about west bengal for these ones. Tamil and karnataka people also hav new year and some festivals on the onset of these navratris. Our beloved simran kaur is also fasting during these navratris and due to fasts they didn't have a big celebration upon completion of 100 episodes. Hope that answers ur queries and agn cvs are aware of the fact that navratris are going on. Its v common to see ppl fasting in delhi n punjab during these days.

as i am from karnataka--i never knew about this navaratri--we celebrate here as ugadi and it will be for one day only.

so i believe cvs chose it ignore it due to it is not universal celebration around whole india.
this is festival mostly celebrated in northen part of india and other parts it is not known.

Well I still dont agree with cvs ignoring it bcoz itz widely celebrated in punjab. The punjabis I know here observe fast for full 9 days and right now am from devi bhajan held at their place. Simran kaur too is observing these fasts n series itself is based on a punjabi family. Cvs cant ignore it if itz set in punjab where people celebrate it whole heartedly also point is why rano never prays daily????? I never even saw the saluja family metioning anything about baisakhi which was on 13th of april well this too is very much celebrated in whole of punjab.
