EDIT: There's one way this can be turned back on track--if its shown that Anamika told Jeet only half the story, that there is a greater angle to it. Something like Chandralekha had seduced the king with revenge in mind, maybe she was actually a princess whose parents were killed by the Raja in a war. Which caused her to run away, take the disguise of a courtesan and enter the Raja's court to seduce, marry, and kill him off afterwards. But she didn't suceed in her lifetime, so her soul is taking revenge by preying on the men belonging to the lineage of the king. Jeet's family is the only one with a royal lineage surviving; so Anamika wants to kill Jeet so her soul can be finally freed. They can then introduce other characters who are rebirths of the Raja and Rani etc., they can be positive characters in the beginning who'll help Jeet n Rano fight Anamika, and ultimately end up battling Anamika themselves.
