rate 1st and 2nd feb performances here!

hey friends lets rate the performances of both the days on s scale of 10...

(excluding the acid test performances here)

1st feb:

anwesha - morni baaga maan - i really enjoyed her performance a looooooooooot...thought she was very gud...will give her 10/10

soniya - duma dum mast kalandar - i loved her performance and the song suited her voice really well - my rating is 9.5/10

aishwariya - nimbooda - again she has a lovely voice and sang very well..it was sweet ...9.5/10

prakriti - bichhua - she was quite gud esp because i also feel the song is tough...it was def one of her better performances- my rating 8.5/10

vyom - he was good but thought he can do better...i thought aishwariya lended him a great support...she sounded wonderful in her portions...overall i would give him 8/10

areeb - i wont rate him since he stopped...and also because i have not heard the song he was singing before...so wud not be fair on him to rate him then

2nd feb:

soniya - ali more angna - i actually expected a lot more from her esp i was expecting her to do wonders with the song as it suits her voice well...considering that i would give her 8/10..she def cud do better as she has that potential..

vyom - ae meri zohrajabi - i thought it was comparatively a weak performance ...again he cud do a lot better...so will give him 7/10

prakriti - salaam e ishq- she sang it fine technically i guess but i did not enjoy the performance at all as that feel was not there at all...i agree with the judges that there was no feel and that made it sound very slow..i think it was one of her weakest performances...hope she bounces back next time...so i wud give her 6.5/10

aishwariya - nigahen milaane ko - i quite liked it just that she slipped sur in a couple of places but still i loved it overall...will give her 9/10

anwesha - pal do pal ka - i wont praise her as am really out of words now to praise this supremely talented girl...she was amazing...and i think only she cud carry off the song the way she did...will give her 10/10

Friday

Anwesha - In 'Morni' - she was just flawless.. The song has been rendered many times in the reality shows so far and each time, I have found the contestant doing well in one particular voice - either the Lata ji part or the Ila Arun part.. This was the first time, I think both the parts were done absolutely beautifully.... And may I add, she was looking extremely pretty as well... Great going girl.. You indeed are the best - you proved once again..... 10/10

Soniya - She selected a song very well suited to her voice and did perfect justice to it.. 'Dum-a-dum' was very very well done indeed with the perfect sufiana style... I just thought that she could have brought in a little more punch to it... 9.5/10

Aishwarya - Her song selection was again not as good (same case as Anwesha).. but I think she did a nice job out of it... The song is very tough for breath control and other than a couple of places, she almost made it.. What I felt a little lacking in the song was the expression.. The song has an inbuilt shararat in it, which Aish could have emoted better... 8.5/10

Prakriti - For her talent, I thought she was extremely good with 'Bichhua'.. getting the correct feel and then singing some parts of the song very very well... Good song selection by her... I was very happy with this performance of Prakriti... 8.5/10

Vyom - I just thought that the song was bit too tough for him.. In fact, I almost thought that I could hear Aish more than Vyom in the song... He tried his best, but just was not there.. But he came out so honest in saying that he probably did not deserve the fairyland for the standard of this show... 7/10

Areeb - He hardly sang the folk song - so wont even rate him in that

Acid Test Performances

Anwesha - 'Mausam ki adla badli' is such a lovely song that everytime a singer sings it, I just have too many expectations.. May be it was her health, or her constant scaryland threat, but for me.. Anwesha could not touch the heights in this one that a girl of her potential could have.. I found the rusty feel of the song and voice modulation lacking... I also thought that she should have attempted atleast one antara to set the 'maahaul'... For this attempt of hers.. 9/10

Soniya - This girl has such an awesome range.. I just love the rustic nature of her voice... I just felt that probably she should have attempted the song half a note higher... then even the mukhda of the song 'Baghban' would have sounded as brilliant as the antara... Her voice goes very well at the higher notes, so may be she should have really tried it... But even then, she was awesome... 9.5/10

Areeb - Boy, what a performance.. It indeed made me cry... This guy has got some soul to his singing... His was truly the best performance in the acid test.. and yet he scored low from all the judges.. They perhaps kept a note of his earlier performances... It was his maturity and upbringing, that inspite of getting unfair scores, he just said that the judges are the people to decide and he accepts that... For me, his heartwarming performance earns him a perfect score... Deserving 10/10

oh yes jaya i 100% agree that anwesha looked great on friday 😳 ...i forgot to mention that..and also even i liked vyom's honesty...he really seems to be a very honest guy..remember his interview in which he said anwesha should win 😊

Saturday

Soniya - 'Ali more angna' is a song tailor made for her, and I thought that she just did not do enough justice to the song! Was it her coming to the scaryland for the first time and have a narrow escape that proved fatal for her, as we know that the episodes are shot back to back? Or, did she again try to sing a note lower? Overall, not impressive... 8/10

Anwesha - She selected one of the toughest Qawwalis around.. and my God, how brilliant she was.. The song 'Pal do pal ka' has a lot of fine places, and she was perfecto in all of them... It was extremely tough for her to sing both the male and female parts together and thats perhaps why the little lack of feel that was correctly pointed out.... But then again, her rendition of this song was way way ahead of any other renditions of this song attempted earlier in all reality shows.. She was brilliant.. 9.5/10

Vyom - Why didnt he sing on a higher scale.. He was capable of doing that as the judges pointed out... Had he done that, I think he would have done very well... He seemed to have captured the feel of the 'Aye meri zohra jabeen' very well.. I think better than the other kids that day, and yet the scale problem spoilt it for him... He almost seems ready to go out next week... 8.5/10

Aishwarya - Perfect song selection 'Nigahein milane ko'... but why that rendition? Yes she lost sur in quite a few places.. I thought even her song lacked feel a lot... She is a very gifted singer, is the pressure of her competing with Anwesha creating too much stress for her? Not sure.. but she is capable of giving much better performances and she has to!... 8.5/10

Prakriti - I know I will not be liked for this, but I actually thought she sang well on 'Salaam-e ishq'... Yes, she did not get the feel of the qawwali, but then neither did Aish and Soniya get it too.. and even Anwesha? Did she really deserve the 'Uttam' that she got from Kunal and Shreya? I dont think so.. She sang the song with an inherent sweetness, and she was technically correct too.. I actually thought she showed overall signs of improvement this week... 8.5/10

Teri mehfil me - This - I thought was the best qawwali of the day.. Hats off to Anwesha and Aishwarya for getting this so correct... I think Anwesha deserved a 10 for this one and Aishwarya a very close 9.75... But I just loved the fact that these 2 girls gave us this musical treat!

My one complaint from the episode - Why couldnt they make Abhaas start the episode with 'Na to karwaan ki talaash hai'??

ohh jaya 9.75 for aish..thats really close 😆 ...well i so very agree it was a treat for us music lovers...i really wanted anwesha n aish to sing together since some time n was so happy that they sang the qawaali and that too wonderfully...i was first pissed off with the drama abt an ban between anwesha n aishwariya but then the qawaali was the only gud thing that happened as a result of that 😆..i am infact watching its video now 😊

I just wished that we could hear this musical treat without the drama.. That would have made it sweeter.. and the talented girls would anyway sing it with as much feel 😳😃

yeah thats true jaya..but i feel that there r no problems between them for sure...aishwariya referred to anwesha as her best friend who supported her when aish was offered dil mil gaye and this is a recent interview...so dunno y all that bakwaas was shown
