For me, Soniya was the best on saturday followed very closely by both Aishwarya and Anwesha
soniya has been doing very well and her performances are getting better and better
and yes, jaya, her voice did crack at the higher notes but it not reduce the impact of her performance at all!

while aishwarya got the feel of the song completely and transported us to another world altogether, i did feel that her sur was shaky at a few places and i will attribute it to trying to get everything else abt the song, especially the taal, perfectly.
and i wish anwesha too was given a ghazal to sing ...

Jayant and Vyom were good too ... how i wish the judges had a common theme to judge them on ! jayant and vyom sang completely different songs and am sure ghulam ali saab and all of us connected more with jayant bcos of the theme while vyom was no less at all with his rendition of 'channa ve'!

abeer was as good as he can be ... no denying that he is just sooo cute that i too will forgive all his mistakes, there being quite some 😛

prakriti and areeb were the worst, areeb a tad worser than prakriti ... both need to improve and fast!

overall i felt that more than aishwarya and to an extent jayant, the theme was what stole the show! and for the nth time i wish all the kids got to sing ghazals and not just the ones who did
