September 7th Update -- VoI

Welcome everyone to today's update of Amul Star Voice of India for today by me! 😃

No one is ready to accept that toshi is eliminated.. They all want him to come back.. They show and AV of people who are rioting to bring toshi back.. and then to Toshi.. who came to pray.. even the chief minister of Rajasthan asking everyone to bring him back.. One of the men says that i will stop watching star plus.. and then say voice of india murdabad and burn a statue names VoI?

Shaan says that people are fogetting that this is a talent hunt.. like this one of the artist came out of this show.. who is none other than Shreya Ghoshal herself! 👏

She comes on stage and sings "Barso Re" from Guru.. great singing as usuall.. 👏She says that none of the contestants need intrductions as they're already very talented and popular.. She greets everyone.. She than says that i know irfan from a long period of time cuz he also participated in the contest that i was in.. she says im very proud of you and i wish you all the very best! 👏 She goes and takes his seat..

today is elimination friday.. and one of the voices will have to leave today.. Another fight b/w Prithvi and Agni as shayaris and all..

Jatinji says that today.. we'll start with prithvi..

Shaan sings Bhool Ja Jo hua use.. they show AVs of all the contestants who were voted out.. Shaan than calls shreya on stage to annouce the results.. She says that i've been thru this already..

Then she starts announcing the results.. she says that Ishmeet got the most vote out of all 4 and he's safe.. everyone's happy.. yet scared for the rest of em.. 😭 he's about to say something when he starts crying and he doesnt say anything and walks away.. everyone consoles him.

She then announces Abhilasha is safe.. as she's the second highest scorer..

Lalitji says that sumitra and priyani are the best fighters.. and it is rly hard to see them like this.. They show AV of Priyani from first till now and all the fantastic moments.. She says that i love this stage and i dont wanna go..

They show AV of Sumitra and all the moments.. Jatin says that no matter who leaves.. i dont care what im gonna have to do.. but i promise i'll bring you back.. Shreya goes to Lalitji and asks him to do it for her as she's unable to..

Shreya finally announces that Priyani has been eliminated..

Everyone starts crying.. Alka comes and consoles her.. and encourages..

She sings Aye Dil Sun Raha hai

she sang it very well..

A sad song plays in the background as they hug and cry and all that stuff.. 😭

Overall comments: i think they've made a professional decision in not bringing Toshi back.. but i rly rly rly hope they have a wild card round.. and that he comes back.. 😳 and priyani and arshpreet and everyone.. 😆 oh well..

Singer of the Day: Priyani.. Dola Re was fantastic.. she didnt deserve to be out.. i think i wouldnt be so upset if someone else would've been eliminated.. but i rly think she didnt deserve to go.. 😭

Overall rating: 9/10.. fantastic episode.. im rly proud that they finally made a professional decision.. im sure people will get over it.. and if they have a wildcard round then they are sure to be hooked to the screens.. 😃 😆

I agree maha 786. It's time that Sumitra be out. Good singers are getting eliminated 3 weeks in a row! I hope they have a wildcard round and bring 2 of them back. I miss Arshpreet and Toshie!

It is really SAD to see another GREAT singer get out. Priyani had the voice and the spunk and she was continously improving.
I wish it had been Abhilasha since she's still pretty young and has a long way to go to improve.

SO many thoughts about this episode...

The beginning: Toshi saga continues! A lot of spirit and devotion was seen, definitely nice to see loyalty from fans but... a puppet with VOI written on it getting burnt... that was weird. Even in the reality epsiode they showed more of this and it was ESPECIALLY nice to hear the comments from other contestants regarding toshi's early elimination. I really enjoy the commaradarie on this show.

The show begins: I love Shreya's voice.

Thoughts about each contestant:
Priyani - she sang nicely but I really had to decrease the volume especially on the high notes. It was TOO unnecessarily loud. But I give props to her for choosing this song. It's a challenging one.

Sumitra - yeh for choosing a different genre!!! But I didn't like it so much. The song just didn't flow well for me, too choppy.

Irfan - I love this song. And it suited him nicely. What I love about Irfan is how he carries the high notes. They are beautifully crisp and carry forever in your ears. But I am not spell-bound by his lower notes. I just don't connect to them.

Abhas - WONDERFUL. He may be young, but the romance in his voice is so deep, so moving, I ACTUALLY wanted to make a plush doll out of him!

Abhilasha - sweet song, TOO simple for her though and she could have chosen something more challenging. She did have some very noticeable mishaps in sur during "lagta hai dar, simte huye umar, ... kabhi ho saher" But at the end, I liked it!

Mirande - dil nahi dooba... She was one of my top 3 faves but these past weeks, aside the throat problems, I just haven't been impressed. And the song selections really have a big part to do with it. Contestants have to (or should) not only sing something well but also DIFFERENT if they want to entice the audience in listening to them more..more.. and more! Neither it just gets boring..

Ishmeet - Shreya was right, his voice is very fresh.

Harshit - I've never fully heard this song before but he sang it really well. He is sooo technically competent; Even if you go back and listen to him again, his surs can actually be flawless at times.
But I don't feel anything. You know when you hear a song when the lyrics are perfectly romantic or you feel like they describe you or your life completely, you tend to feel connected to the song. I don't feel anything when I finish hearing Harshit's performances. There's no connection, no ZEST, PASSION, EMOTION in his voice...
He is soooooo good.. but not. It's frustrating.

Priyani's farewell - a graceful one. I think everyone's tears, sorrows and grief were maxed out from last week. Priyani has had some really great, memorable performances but this is a very stiff competition. And I think she showed her talent quite nicely. all the best!

Last issue:
Wild card or no wild card?: Wild card is coming. Everyone is hungry for it. We knew it wasn't going to happen today. There's def. going to be competition for Toshi, especially when Jatinji mentioned that he would try to bring back one of the contestants (Sumitra or Priyani). This is how I see it: A wild card episode. All eliminated contestants from bhemisaal 12 perform. They are evaluated by JUDGES ONLY through points. Highest points wins the trip back into the competition! Everything is transparent to the audience.

I agree that they have made a professional decision by not bringing Toshi back but sincerely hope there is some kind of power given to the neutral judge to bring back one singer they all think,who deserved to go to the finals.
Sad that a singer like Toshi had to be the sacrificial goat,but it is the fault of the mentors.
They talk of being blessed by Saraswati Devi and yet they have so much arrogance.Every time an opponent singer has sung a song they have been overly critical and their marking has been preplanned.This is specially so by the music directors.They are going to benefit from the talent hunt,but yet their only concern seems to be AGNI or PRITHVI?

They are upset with the audience for not voting correctly.Agreed,but first let the mentors show maturity and unity in supporting the real talent,only then will the audiences follow their scores as guidelines.
The audience votes with it's "heart and eyes" but the mentors must should use their ears.
Goodluck to Toshi and all the singers. May the best win.

Abhilasha has a very sweet voice but I don't feel she is the Voice of India.She has a lot to learn.Lucky that she has survived this far in the contest.Looks like Punekars are all out to vote for her.

she is going forward on universal voting.... and its because of talent and versatility😉

and i can say that because i am a punekar of last 23 years.... now being in abroad... i vote for her but on internet 😆.... even i would nt vote for anyone on SMS 😛 thts punekar😆
