What...that's not what I said! hehe..

I doubt any of the judges or Gajji have a definitely contestant in their minds to take away the VOI title, they have favorites, possibilities, but not one person.

I don't think there should be a wild card entry which is introduced like a wild card.

Either there should be a clear provision from the get-go for the recall of a specific number of singers on a particular criterion, or we should just live with the way the hand gets dealt.

To those who miss one or another singer, I want to say: These are not the first talented singers to go from a show. My contention increasingly is that those who leave a show at this stage benefit more than those who remain to win. People remember their departure, they remain a reference point and they are able to continue on their path unfettered by silly concert engagements and poorly written albums that they will wish were soon forgotten.

Sometimes these shows resemble that story from the Panchatantra of the father, son and donkey. Too bad!

I agree to what Sachin and Vanaja says... I also agree to what Bhaskar mentioned.....

The whole concept of wild card as it gets used these days in the shows is some sort of discrimination... We tend to get back a contestant who has been most hyped and if brought back will probably generate the max TRP and SMS for the show... We talk about the mass media uproar and reactions, and wild card being a means to pacify that.. honestly, a lot of this media hype and uproar gets manipulated and created by the think-tanks of the show... the whole hype around certain contestants makes the public and the media feel that this guy/gal was probably the most deserving... The way the judges and Gajji reacted on the Friday show.. the way the contestants were made to react on the same, led to the creation of this backlash.. Had it been a silent elimination like Arshpreet's or previously like Arindam's or Saptaparna's.. these reactions would not have happened... It was like the channel giving out a signal that this is the most unfortunate elimination and hence the wild card applies only for this person..

If any wild card ever has to apply, it should apply on all the eliminated contestants.. Can that happen? No! If we select a few and ask the public again to bring back a contestant in wild card - on what basis do we select them, and then how do we ensure that the public is not giving a biased decision? The mass euphoria has already been generated, the emotions have already been manipulated and then how can any decision be fair?

If the rules of the contest is that public decides who stays and who goes based on whatsoever criteria.. then all should have the maturity to accept it... After all, winners dont always get decided by talent, and after so many seasons of reality shows, we should be accustomed to the same! And - what after all is the future of these winners? As Vanaja says... perhaps the early eliminations have always done better than the winners.... The show has given you the podium to get noticed.. Now if you have it in you, you will shine, otherwise not!!

I actually feel that there will be a full fledged Wild Card round with all the eliminated contestants performing - Gajji has no other choice but to do this... But beyond that what happens is doubtful coz they seem to have a preset mind for bringing back Toshi, the whole exercise seems to be for that alone... I even guess that there might be two entries back to the show, one by judges choice(Toshi) and one by public voting...

If we are almost sure that a wild card is coming up... the next question would be, what is the right time to hold a wild card?

When 5 contestants are left? 7 are left? 3 are left? When?

Isnt it true that the later it is brought in, the more unfair it is to the surviving contestants??

If we leave the 2nd contestant to public votes... only the most popular contestant will come back!! How fair is that anyways??

I agree on wildcard entry. bcoz if a talented competitor is out from competition due to public craziest decision, the judges full authority to bring back the right candidate in right place. and no qs about for whom? this rule for all singers. and when? i think after 6 [half] left from competition. bcoz the available are the best choices of the public, when we give power to the public. 😃

It is quite fair actually - judges are doing no better than hyping their personal favorites ... So it is balanced to have one by their choice and one by public choice...

Anyone remember EMET and veto power??? it was announced right at the beginning and used very judiciously the first time and no one cud've complained abt it ... the 2nd time was a different matter altogether

my points in a nutshell
1) i dont like the concept of a wild card, if u hv decided that u will go by public votes stick to it, if u say 50% judges which is what this show was supposed to offer then again stick by it ... toshi and arshpreet might still be there ...

2) if u want to hv a wild card announce it at the beginning, i would prefer a judges' veto kind of wild card (EMET) and not one where yet again the audience chooses one of many (Lil Champs). But for VOI Sachin's idea is gud, have one of judges' choice (preferably Alka's 😆 ) choice and one of audience choice. Else maybe Agni gets to bring back one of their eliminated contestants which wud mean no Arshpreet 😭, same with Prithvi and one for neutral Jatin too 😆 Arshpreet has a chance here 😉

3) No wild card at the last 5 stage, to be used prior to that
