not impressed wid sumitra.. reasons given - Page 2

Ok - I will defend Sumitra. Every singer has one genre that that are real good with but today Sumitra sang a real nice soft number. I beleive in Sumitra's range. She can hit the highs and lows. She has energy and confidence. See its confidence that she exudes. So her confident attitude is not a negative but a plus.

The whole gushing about Anil Kapoor was I bet coached. She they have all been doing it. Like today Mirande told Pooja Bhatt what a great actor she was and that she should come back to movies. Priyani wants to marry Sonu. Innocently done. But the kids are being asked to do these things. Or it could all be genuine and some people are really such huge fans. Give Sumitra a break please.

There I defended her since none of the Sumitra fans came to the rescue. (hint hint 😃 )

I think you are mixing confidence with arrogance...

I completely agree with you guys... She is really arrogant and I think to some extent proud. Even if for instance we agree that she is a good singer but I think she is not that good a person.

This is not a contest for judging who is a good and who is a bad person. Else even the judges will be disqualified.

I think its not right for anyone to judge Sumitra as a person...I mean you all dont even know her!

The only thing that we are here to do is judge her singing performance, which she is on SVOI platform for and she has given us the honor to do!

As far as her singing is concerned, to be honest, I'm not a big fan! and what the problem seems to be is that she is waay to happy in her COMFORT ZONE of the genre she sings in...she doesn't wanna go left or right...what would be the ultimate challenge is when she gets OUT of that comfort zone and sings some top notch song and proves us all wrong...I guess you all can say that I'm waiting for that day where I wont have words to describe her performance, she'll have to do that good!!

yea ok, you like sumitra, i respect that... but i beg to differ about the anil kapoor thing (sry to keep harping on about it, but im makin a point ppl!! :P)

see, i agree, mirande, toshi, priyani n more have all talked to celebs.. but i think there was a noteable difference in the way sumitra talked to anil.. she said this big long speech not only before but also AFTER her performance.. my dad was commenting that this girl jus can't shut up! n it sounded fake n rehearsed.. i am no one to judge her on that, i agree, but thats jus one of my personal reasons to dislike her lol, but my main reason is that her singing is not up to the mark

but one thing i gotta give props to sumitra is that she has such confidence in herself.. look at brilliant singers like abhilasha who are crumbling at the pressure.. sumitra, who's undoubtedly not a great singer, and is surrounded by people who sing better than her, has not let it affect her.. which is good for her i guess

but i still dont like her lol
