not impressed wid sumitra.. reasons given

sorry, if im offending any sumitra fans.. i dnt knw, i just don't like her too much, because of the following reasons:

* i don't think she's as great a singer as the judges made her out to be in the initial rounds

*she doesn't seem to be classically trained like the other singers

*she only seems to sing one genre of songs- now i know i'll be flooded with responses of, 'she sang so many diff. kinds of songs- maiyya, hare rama etc.'.. but wht im trying to say is, she sings songs that don't require having amazing singing talent.. see right now, contestants like mirande, abhilasha, priyani etc. are all undoubtedly not singing any classical wonders, and are singing mainstream bollywood numbers. however, mirandes first song was pure classical and thats what made me remember and love her.. priyani sang 'main vari vari', again, beautifully.. and i don't think anyone needs reminders of abhilashas first performance.. if u notice, sumitras never attempted a pure classical number, and even if she does, her lack of training will show through...

*i also don't like her attitude- when anil kapoor came, she just went overboard with the praise and fancy words, and gushed all over him, before AND after her performance.. i mean, that's laying it a little thick, isn't it?

just my humble opinion, but i don't need people telling me that sumitras a great singer, and that im just 'jealous of her confidence', because honestly, if that was the case, i would've hated mirande.. this is a review based purely on singing, and i'd like comments on that please.. thanks 😊

I agree with you...she only sings the same genre of songs...as I jokingly call it the "shoo-shaa-hoo-haa" songs...and her "classical-ness" doesn't shine through much...so far in the show, truthfully, (not because of jealousy, as most men blame women of having in this forum...believe me Boyz..women have got better things to do in 21st century!!)...I haven't been impressed with her songs...She has got an excellent voice quality...and her throw, performing ability is reallie good! But she really needs to attempt a classical number...or semi classical atleast...so we know she is not here to leave soon...because if she continues with this...its inevitable that she will be kicked out soon!!

Yes i too agree tat sumitra cant sign for nuts! she picks songs that need not have much of talent and guess wat have u-all notice the attitude she gives when the judges give her their frank opinion about her singing especially when alkaji tell her - if yu guys did not notice see the next time if looks could kill......boom boom wonder who would be her bakri - yes guess right! bachke rehna re baba.......

yes i agree too with u guys. no offense to her fans i don like her 2. she doesnt sing as good as other contestants but i dono why the judges give her so much attention and say that oh she sings better
anyway guys this is what i think. she should have been in priyani place but no she never comes to bottom 4
