perhaps.. we know of smth called retakes in studios.. it doesnt mean that if ure svoi, u have to sing the song perfectly in one go.. that's another thing all in all.. the main thing is that your song needs to be well sung and it needs to generate feelings in the listener which is smth toshi does almost every other time

Yes true, in studios, they can have many retakes. But since VOI is a competition, we have no choice but to comment on whatever we hear. 😕 Judges have to judge on the song they hear, not potential for singing well in a studio though they make comments like 'your voice will sound good in studio recording'

Toshi did very well...he is the best singer in the show and he deserves to win.

Okay, my original post was regarding song Ya Ali on friday. Saturday's performance was better than Friday's. But Ya Ali was disappointing.

Reg. Saturday's performances I didnt like Harshit's performance at all. He was so like Kumar Sanu and not his own. I dont like when people change their voice to suit the song, I'd rather listen to the original than listen to a copier. That was same reason, why Vinit, though he sang well, never impressed me as much as Hemachandra. Anyways, totally my opinion.

Toshi did OK with Teri Diwani. I have heard bit better. But this was better performance than some of his previous one.

I just got done watching both days and I must say he was just OK.

all i hav to say abt toshi is that he has bin experimenting the most wid his songs .. though being typecasted as a sufi singer earlier on n then being compared to sharib ..he has held his own , i think he has his own identity ..
the reason that i think mostly ppl judge these ppl to be off sur is that a live performance can never match to a studio recording ..
as a matter of fact listening to bands like euphoria , jal , indian ocean , parikrama and many others , u wil come to kno that their own songs sound "off sur" wen they do them live ..
i thought toshi was singin like anything .. but he totally skipped the line teri deewani which is on a low note n sang the whole song in the higher note .. that suits his voice more .. but kudos for cretivity that no one pointed it out ..

well i think toshi rocks.. and those who are still not happy.. can watch his piya re, man ki lagan or dil dhal jaye song.. if u still arent impressed.. he'll impress u in the future for sure

i agree toshi has a superb voice quality and singing a particular song dosent mean sing like the particular song ...u can give your touch.. and thats what he does and it sounds great..

he is a professional singer and i would not agree that he did not sing well..😊
