Certainly he doesn't want to marry her becoz of love. He doesn't hate her like he hates Amrit but he doesn't love her either, at this point. Maybe it is due to the fact that if he marries into that family, he can anytime be in front of Amrit and hurt her ego & pride. What else is a better method to do that to Amrit by choosing her sister instead of her, the same sister who she thinks is nothing compared to her. He knew that if he just refuse to marry Amrit, then some other day she will find some other new richie rich and get married, and also people will forget gradually what happened during Agam-Amrit wedding day. But by marrying Nimrit, he can rub salt on Amrit's wounded ego all the time...Mastermind!

Agam was shown to be an overall good guy yaar except the fact that he has hatred in his heart for Amrit. Then how can he ruin an innocent girl's life by marrying her against her own will.
Agam-Nimrit love story can start later but at this point, it is poor Nimrit who will suffer.
Tej will reach the venue after the wedding takes place. I am sure he will blast Agam for ruining Nimrit's life. Then I think Agam will realise what he has done just to take his revenge. He better does that.
BTW, is Amrit in love with Agam? or she just likes him?
