I thought about it for a long time wondering should I start this topic or no. But I decided I should because I am sure lot of people could relate to Amita's situation. I have been through this too.

( In the kitchen when Amita was cleaning the ancestral plate it almost fell. Amita was mad and Amit said its only a plate. But Amita said that if you had broken it then it would have been an accident but if I break it its a crime. Both of us are different nobody is going to tell you anything but instead they will blame me.)

I could completely relate to Amita here because, I have seen this happening around me. It was so true. I understand how she felt, the fear, lack of confidence are all justified. It is kind of hard to deal with these situation if your husband doesn't stand up for you. In my case I was lucky my hubby always stood up for me. I hope in the show Amit always stand up for her.
What do you lovely dearies think? Has anybody been through this kind of situation.

There is a reason to love this show because it does target real situation and nothing superficial or ridiculous. Even the problems shown are relatable.

I too have faced such a situation many a times. I could have made the best dish found very tasty by everyone but my inlaws would always find something less in it, but if the same dish is prepared by their Son or daughter it is the tastiest dish even without tasting it though irrelevant that at the end it will have to be thrown in the bin since it was not edible but still it is the best.

thanks a lot for highlighting this point in ur thread nita... due to net problem i cud not visit forum last nite, had i been able to visit, i too wanted to discuss the same issue... well i am not married yet, but still i can understand amita's situation... it is true yaar.. a bahu is always expected to stand upto everyone's expectations and to do things right always.. she commits one mistake and it is treated like a crime...

amita ws very right in saying that, " if u plate slips ur hands, ppl will say amit shah k haath se koi cheez chhoot k gir gayi, but if i do it, bahu k haath se sanskaar or parivar ki dharohar chhot gayi...

amit shud understand her situation.. i hope when in 2day's episode amita is rebuked by phallu 4 breaking the plate, amit realise amita's problems and stand by her ...

Ye to ghar ghar kahani hai.. Been through such situations!! I agree it's very difficult, n one feel lonely in such situations... That's why I hated when Amita fall in such situation... But I am lucky n not faced mych coz me n hubby staying alone.. And now as I stay alone n manage everything myself(Ofc-house-social responsibilities) no body can say me anything... Also I have decided to stay positive n happy n focus on my life than anybody's words...

hello guys

muje toh yakeen ni hota aisa hota hai

waise achi saas bhi hoti hain jaise har cheez ka opposite hota hain

muje toh yeh sari insecurity illogical lagti hain

ek bahu kyun apne pati ko bas mein karegi aur baki sabse door ? use kya milega ?? wo pati hain yaa kohinoor ka hera jispe sirf apna hak jamana hain ? aur pati k pas apna soch aur demag nahi hai kya jo influnce ho jayega ? ya phir apne bete pe vishwas nahi hain ki wo kuch galat nahi karega ?

these insecurities are so so illogical .

aur rahi baat saas k daantne ki tohb kya hua meri to ma muje daant dant k saas ki kami bilkul mahsoos nahi karati

aur lonely ? wo toh waise bhi hum duniya mein akele hi aate hain

Kanika,

Mujhe bhi yeh insecurities ka mamla ek dum illogical lagta hain but human nature hai hi aisa. Can't help it. You never know what a boys mother thinks and goes through. In general there are plenty of Tina's to add fuel to already buning fire. I guess this is one thing which is never ever going to old he saas insecurities.
