I cannot say that I agree but I know what you mean. There is a stiffness in the face, however since she always has to give this dignified attitude it will pass. But had she been required to give some very emotional scenes she would not be able to give her all as she has always been an average actress. But this serial is very good and she makes a good mother and her dignity is the USP. I foind Garima a better actress. And yes Samarth is very good as the bad husband. He is so good that we cannot stop ourselves from hating him. So is Tarun the villain, I like these guys, they make the good of others come out so well since their meanness is so well enacted. BUt my favourite character is naani, she has stolen my heart and I hope she contnues to play an important role throughout the serial.

Before this show, I'd never heard of Sonali before and wasn't aware that she'd been in movies before. But just watching her role of a trusting housewife and political wife whose world suddenly gets turned upside down and she has to somehow bring her her inner resources of strength - well, to be honest I found her very convincing. Sometimes I get annoyed that Shobha is still so trusting and hasn't realised how conniving some members of her family are. But then I feel that's probably because she's still so innocent in some ways. Someone here mentioned Gopi in Saathiya. I don't want to disparage anyone because it may be the writers that have given her such an impotent role but frankly it makes her seem as if she can't act at all. She is not convincing as a mother, as a daughter-in-law, as a wife. She seems very one dimensional and it's difficult to watch (so I don't anymore). Shobha on the other hand is irritating at times because of her weakness, but mostly delightful.

nice post. I got ur point.ya shobha character is not easy to enact n ya sonali as shobha is ok not bad but long way to go acting wise. in few scenes she is struggling n it's clearly visible there.no offence intended just my pov.

People who share a room for 100 years may not be having such chemistry. They are awesome pair. In the beginning i had my doubts. But now i feel damn lucky to start watching this serial. Otherwise it would have been a loss.

Nice concept and nice lead pair with true acting skills.

I just cant imagine any other pair doing justice to this role after them.

Sorry @ mouri if i hurt u. Yes everyone has their own opinion. But still i think u are watching the serial very critically. See it freely, u will enjoy more. Moreover someone was upset that i have draged other serial. I said that in a daily soap one can not give good performance in each& every scene but it does not mean that u need not act good at all in serial. I have seen many serial where the lead actors are either expressionless or they overact. So i was only giving an example.

This is her best performance

I love this show and one main reason is Sonali and Apoorva. Both are doing awesome job. Both of them also have a good chemistry. Sonali is portraying a modern day woman holding traditional values. Sonali is the perfect blend of modernism and traditional values, and does it quite naturally. I have not seen many movies of hers, but I must say I am quite impressed by her acting.

I don't know. I just find her PERFECT for the role. She's goddam gorgeous and makes me watch the show.
