Friends I am bit late in this forum due to work issues, In fact I watched all episodes today in one go ..before I caught snippets of Apu's parts due to my sheer love for him.

I felt some where ekta failed to show Shobha's emotions properly, she needed to give more time to her feelings .I feel there was no scene of proper breakdown alone. Yes I understand there are scenes of distraught driving, I felt Vikram was right in trying to stop her as she was danger to her and other people's lives at that moment. But somehow sonali was unable to make me feel her pain, in fact I was able to connect more with character of samrath...harsh made me cringe for samrath's hypocrisy and attitude of utter disregard for others .

even vikram with his paranoia and every thing is able to get to the audience, he is able to irritate us with his antics but I failed to be moved by Shobha's plight. Being a woman I feel saddened by it. I know it is a daily soap but for me a connection with character is very important. I hope makers would keep that in mind and Sonali should be able to work more on her character, so far I felt her character was just gliding through every thing ,she was not touching me.

sorry friends hope am not getting anyone upset here with my observation but I want to enjoy this show to my fullest and my sincere request to makers is not to forget emotional angle...they were very good at light moments and other things but sonali needs bit more work on her character.

Nice post sammy !!
The pace has to be made Yes Shobha is sadden but you have to keep in mind that she has a house on her shoulders & her children !!
When she saw the video of her husband's infedelity act she had her hands frozen in shock that state of mind was there was a good time when Samarth was taken by the cops
Later during that itself her self concious mind was talking to her telling her man proposes God disposes many dynamics are plugged into her head saddness anger worry these emotions are all bundling up as a turmoil in her head!! When she comws back to reality she run to catch up with the copa who are talking her husband!!
Samarth is explaining ghat he has been framed but then she sees the scar on his neck "Biwi sawal Karti hai yaar " that triggered where shw questions that sadness or foolishness beleieving this man !!
When he leaves in the jeep she is left there thinking that has again bundle of sadness worry & pain... Editing is perfect since as viewers we have to known that the central figure is Shobha but the 30
Minute to 40 minute given for the opening episode the three main protagnists have yo have good portion and it ended with Shobha standing & a point where she doesn't know where this Dastaan will lead while on the other junction Vikram is also there thinking today my shop opened & this happened ...

Then she goes that same nite to meet AK composing herself to ask for Bail but there also Usha has her four firey words which does the impact wven after her comfrontation so many dynamics have given ghat character turn if events to sadden her feel the pain But one has to realise she needs to compose herself as more that sadness she has anger & betrayal which followed more on the following day that Samarth & Tarun who is her own BIL has kept all his dirty secrets !!

I have watched it again & again & it has a perfect flow with the way Shobha is projected !! We live in a world where were have so much to hold on ourseleves & this woman has to be strong as ahe is being bomarded from various forms of society so she will back & forth with her 9 years of marriage & that one day which shook her ground!!emotions were all deep inside ans they reflect time to time but this can break one completely can she afford to do that as who is there whom she can share her whole hearted sorrowness @ present there is lots on her shoulder ... Here one needs to see the practicality of the situation its tuff she is trying to stay strong..

Agree with the TM about not enough being shown about Shobha grieving Samarth's betrayal.

Then she realises that she must show a brave face to her children and the realisation of being responsible for her household. So she bottled up her grief in the beginning. But now, in the quest for a job, her mind has locked away the hurt and pain, so that it seems as if she is on a normal mode. Seeing the precap, Samarth is going to bring back that pain again by trying to erode away her confidence.

Sonali has emoted quite well, considering that she was always judged an average actress.

I am loving the show so far and it's partially due to the tightness of the script - not really a fan of long drawn out melodrama. This is what makes it real - when these incidences occur in life not everyone has the luxury to ponder and grieve.

In Ajeeb Dastaan hai Ye Shobha is seen to be a very responsible person ... So even though she is distraught her way of dealing with it is to bury her grief inside and cater to her responsibilities - her families routines and plans... Their financial commitments etc.

Having seen several friends in life go thru similar stuff - there are women who stop eating, give up and go into depression and there are women who delve so deep into work n responsibilities that they drown their grief.

Have seen too many of the first time on TV and excited to see a woman who may be shattered on the inside but determined to keep her world together.

I think u r right di in a way. but I think here we should blame the creative team. as we already know that its a limited episode show. may be thats why they did not given proper time to display her sadness. they r kind of hurried over that, becoz they have to show her looking for a job & then getting a job so that creative team can take the show straight to the main concept.

as for acting , yes Harsh Chayya is superb. I mean the way he is portraying the character samrath , I just feel like slapping samrath. HC he is very talented & a mind-blowing actor. I hav't seen any of his previous work but I knew him as good actor 👏

As for sonali. she is very pretty . but I will not comment about her acting as I was never a fan of her acting skills 😊

Hmm Lastly Apurva. What I say about him. he is perfect.will not say more 😳

I believe that Shobha showed her devastation of her faith in her husband and her sadness and more than both these emotions, Shobha showed that she had to keep it all under wraps for her children and her family.

Her anger and her frustration was there when she had to deal with her M I L's denial and her B I L's betrayal too.

A woman after such a rude awakening will either sit and cry with self pity or pull herself together and not let a man who had used and kept her in the dark about his real intentions get the satisfaction of knowing that her husband SamRAT had broken her.

Shobha chose to be strong and move on from the man that had not only broken her heart but her trust in their relationship.

Shobha showed courage to go out and be strong instead of curling into a ball and crying... "Woe is me"... Or Why did this happen to me ..God??

The behaviour in this kind of situation can be dealt with either way.

It is up to every individual on how they choose to react to such a shock.

@ Red- Totally agree...I am a HC fan and he has portrayed his role- that of a rat, very very well...I felt like strangulating Samart...

Shobha's grief wasn't portrayed fully..it was rushed through and few scenes were given to that because of the fast pace of the serial...the main point of the story is not about the betrayal but moving on...so maybe that is why the creatives flew over it...
I agree a few more scenes depicting Sho's grief would have been nice...connecting to the character would have been easier

I kind of agree with your post. On the one hand- and on the positive side, I am glad there is not too much rona dhona. But the phase from shocked disbelief to acceptance and moving on has been a bit too quick. They could have spent some more time on the various facets of her emotions. It would have, as you so rightly said, helped build Shobhas character a bit better.

Having said that-I guess the audience interest primarily lies in the buildup of the Shobha-Vikram relationship-and the makers seem quite clear to reach there fast! 😊

Within these four episodes-they have managed to show Shobha's vulnerability, loving nature, loyalty to the people she loves, ability to face up to challenges and not breakdown, and her commitment to her family. She is forthright and will not give up easily.

But I completely agree-Its a major event in Shobhas life. The focus should be on the gamut of emotions she will be going through. Would also like Vikram to tone down a bit! Lets see how it goes

I actually do agree that Shobha was just celebrating her 9th Wedding anniversary and recalling all her happy moments with Samrath. And suddenly the happiness comes crushing down as her husband has been cheating on her. Any women in her place at first would be shocked to know that what she had been believing in all this years wasn't true. Guess even then, she still had some hope and trust in her husband and even that was snatched when she heard the revelation in the police station.

The outburst of that was the car scene. Honestly that part reached me as i could feel what she is going through. Maybe an elaborated scene on that could have made some difference because for someone who has been living a fairytale like life for 9 years suddenly realize its false and that's it. On the brighter side, it was a welcome change to see her putting on a brave act and thinking on what to do next instead of crying over a spilled milk. What has happened as happened and she has to worry on what to do next. Guess perhaps that is what the CVs were trying to convey, hence not focused so much on Shobha crying or feeling sad over the betrayal.
