Ok ok i'll take the question seriously.... Shahnaz darling you've opened a Pandora's box here.... ab bhugtana mera lamba post.
Well, (as most of you already know), i first saw adhm when i went home in the break. The first episode i saw was the one where he has an attack and then she helps him up... the one where he puts his arm on his friend with a 'why do you even try' wala expression and then walks into the room where Saumya is, and his body langauge changes immediately... that one.
Anyway, the first scene that i saw him in, i went "who is this guy?"... it was a very immediate reaction to a good looking guy.... however as the episode progressed, i took in the acting... and really liked it.
As i saw the show further, i had a huge crush on him... i liked both the way he looked and the way he acted... until i figured out that the two were actually related to each other.... what i mean is, Gaurav looked different in Dil Kya Chahta Hai (seen just a couple of episodes though)... not as immediately dashing or impactful as he did in adhm.... and i realised that that was because of the difference in the roles... saw a little bit of him in Nach Baliye and one crazy reel of Blood Diamond on tellychakkar, but the feeling i get is this: he tries to become the character, so that when he plays a good looking, dashing, every girl's dream kind of hero, he is that... have a feeling that give him a mean, nasty role and he'll end up looking mean and nasty, not just acting it. That is what i mean when i say that part of the reason why we're all drooling over him right now is because Samay Khurana is meant to be a man like that and Gaurav Chopra the actor knows it. Perhpas that is why he confuses Candy so much 😊.
Of course, Gaurav keeps saying that Samay and Gaurav are similar and i dont doubt that for a minute... but all i'm saying is, in a weird sort of way, his looking good is also about his acting... the two are not separate from each other. For example, remember the comedy round in Nach Baliye and his costume there? Now go back to Samay Khurana and perhaps it will become clearer what i mean. Thats when i became a loyal fan of the actor, to follow him from show to show.
Anyway, so i had a major crush and all my friends were bored to death 😃..... however, throughout this process i never credited the actor Gaurav Chopra with any sort of intelligence (I'm being completely honest here)... i thought the process of acting was happening inspite of him and not because of him.... and then he logged on to this forum. And that is when i realised that perhaps he does put thought into his work... when i heard the radio braodcast where he'd spoken about the forum.... a normal star would say 'I'm so glad i have all these fans... thank you for your love and support.... you're the best guys' and left it at that... but what Gaurav did was that he isolated the forum, saw it as a unit in itself and analysed it.... thats a very high level of involment with what is essentailly a fan club.... and so i think that he does put a lot of thought into his job, for which he gets a 👍🏼
I also liked the way he answered Fariha's post about fainting... made her day, month and year 😊.... so now i think i like the person as well.... though must
say that this conclusion is based on the flimsiest of evidence.... so perhaps should rephrase it to so far he sounds like a nice person. 😊
Well Shahnaz to come back to your questions.... jo yeh post abhi bhi padh raha hai use Gaurav ki ek photo free.... well, if Gaurav does any other show and the character is not of a charmer, then am convinced that he'll do it so well that we'll all miss Samay.... at the same time, most roles in hindi shows eventually end up with the hero being heroic, so hope it wont be so. I'll continue being a fan of the actor, irrespective of the role he does.
