Root of trouble is rusty's dad

Imagine a man falling in love with a woman, marrying her, having a kid..
the kid begins to grow up. at that point he realises his marrying a foreign
woman happens to be against the "sanskar and riti-riwaz" of his family.

well, "better late than never " he thinks and Decides to be the "adarsh" son NOW, abandons this family, promises his mom
and to-be wife (that was fast) to be
never in touch with his former family again.

well with such a history, i would not expect either his daughter
to be the milk of human kindness (as rusty was potrayed earlier) nor his
current wife to be all motherly (as mathura was expected) towards rusty.

I know this is not how most of you would feel because thats not how the serial has potrayed the event and the characters.

we are meant to beleive that randir kapoor is a nice, warm and loving human being and a caring dad....his family sans mathura is an epitome of high values. And the real villain are his two wives ( and perhaps his daughter).

But come to think of it....why such a situation arose today?

I guess what they showed earlier was that it was Linda who wants to have a divorce with Randhir and not Randhir...Randhir wants to keep the family. Randhir even desparately wanted to have his daughter with him but Linda was not even letting Randhir meet her....that what they showed when Randhir was giving a flashback to Rusty in early episodes.....so I don't think its Randhir fault afterall

Now only oneway they have to justify Ranbir's fault by showing Ranbir lied to Rusty about those flashbacks. I still don't understand who use to send money to Rusty's bank account everymonth, if you remember Father(priest) showed bank letter to Rusty just before she came to India.
