CHAPTER - 3

Ananya was sitting quietly with Jaanvi on her lap and Jaanvi was putting her head on her mother's shoulder said,"Mamma dadda ko phone kalo na.Mee dadda aayenge na to bo chabko maayenge (Mamma dadda ko phone karo na.Mere dadda aayenge na to vo sabko maarenge)."Ananya replied,"Dadda ko phone karne ki koi zarurat nehi hai beta kyuki jab dadda ko pata chalega na ke unki Jaanu danger mein hai,vo daure daure chale aayenge.Dadda tumse sabse zyaada pyar karte hai na."Jaanu nodded her head.In the cockpit,the pilots were flying the plane and the rookie pilot asked the senior pilot,"Captain hume Jaipur mein hi utrenge na?"The captain replied,"Pata nehi First Officer,utarna to chahiye ab in hijackers ki kya marzi hogi vo to bhagwaan hi jaane.Tum zara crew ko phone karke unhe inform karo."The rookie pilot informed on of the crews and then one of the hijackers came to the cockpit and asked,"Bolo kyu bulaaya hai yaha?"The captain replied,"Hamaare paas sirf Jaipur jaane tak ka hi fuel hai.Isliye hume Jaipur mein hi utarna hoga,varna hum fly nehi kar paayenge."The highjacker replied,"Vo sab hume nehi pata hai jabtak kaha na jaaye tabtak land nehi kar sakte ho tum log ye flight."Saying the man left.In the passenger's area,the airhostesses asked permission to serve the passengers.The chief said,"Nehi tum log inhe kuch bhi serve nehi karoge.Inki madat koi nehi karega,jabtak hamaara maksad pura nehi ho jaata."Out of extreme anxiety and fear a person fall ill.Natasha said to the chief,"Dekhiye ek aadmi bimaar par gaya hai.Ab bhi aap yehi kahenge ke aap hume inki madat nehi karne denge?Is tarah se jab har ek aadmi bimaar parta rahega to government aap logo ki koi madat nehi karegi.Please hume us aadmi ki madat karne dijiye."Ananya put Jaanvi on the seat and said,"Jaanu beta tum yaha good girl bankar betho,mamma jaakar Natasha auntie ki help karti hai."Jaanvi nodded her head like a good girl.She walked upto Natasha and said,"Chalo main tumhaari madat kar deti hu."The chief came and pulled Ananya's hairs and said,"Tujhe kisne kaha tha yaha aakar daktry jhaarne ko.Chupchap jaakar apni jagah par beth ja."At that moment,there was an emergency call from the cockpit.When the chief reached there,the pilot informed that they are going to be soon out of fuel and so they had to land at Jaipur otherwise the plane will blast off mid air.The chief granted them permission to land at Jaipur.After landing,the captain asked the ATC to contact the high officials and ministers as the passengers' lives are at stake.

The hijacker's chief asked the pilot to instruct to fuel-up the flight so that they can take-off again to some other destination,but the pilot disagreed and said,"Main ye flight ab ek aur jagah hargiz lekar nehi jaaunga chahe meri isme jaan hi kyu na chali jaaye."The chief said,"Lekar to tujhe jaana hi parega varna tu to apni jaan se haath dhoyega hi aur saath mein un logo ki maut ki bhi vajah banega."The pilot said,"Main tumhe aisa kuch bhi nehi karne dunga."Saying he punched on the chief's face and they both had an hand to hand combat and the chief shot the pilot in his shoulder.The pilot was badly injured and then the chief said to the rookie,"Dekh liy na iski haalat ab jaisa maine kaha hai vaisa kar,varna teri haalath bhi bilkul aisi hi ho jaayegi.Abhi apne upar ke logo ko phone kar aur unse bol hume sarkaar se baat karni hai."The rookie did exactly what he said and informed Jaipur ATC.The chief took up the senior pilot's mike and started conversation with the ATC.The convo :-

ATC Chief :- "Aakhir tum chahte kya ho?Itne saare passengers aur crew ko hstage banaane ki zarurat kya hai?"

Hijacker Chief :- "Tumhaari sarkaar ne hamaare general ko apne kabze mein kar rakkha hai.Hume vo har haal mein sahi salaamat waapas chahiye."

AC :- "Ek minute hum tumhe high officials ke saath connect karte hai Delhi mein."

The ATC connected the hijackers to the government in Delhi.The minister alongwith the police and army chiefs were sitting with them.

MINISTER :- "Humne suna hai tumhaari mango ke baare mein,par hum vo pura nehi kar sakte hai."

HC :- "Lagta hai tum logo ko aam aadmiyo ki koi parvaah hi nehi hai."

M :- "Kuch logo ke liye main itne saare logo ki jaan ko daav par nehi laga sakta hu."

HC :- "Thik hai to jabtak hamaari maange maani nehi jaayegi tabtak har aadhe ghante mein ek passenger ki maut hoti rahegi aur uske zimmedaar sirf aur sirf tumhaari sarkaar hogi."

The Hijacker's chief cut the call.

The ministers started discussing on the affairs of this hijack case.The minister said,"Main manta hu ke itne saare passengers hai par main purey country ko stake par nehi rakh sakta hu."The general replied,"I agree with you sir.Par hum media ko kya jawaab denge?Vo to hume choregi nehi."The minister said,"Hume koi beech ka raasta nikaalna hi parega.Hum aise hi haath par haath dhare nehi beth sakte hai."At that moment,a voice from back said,"I can help you sir!!"Everyone turned towards that voice and found Akash was standing.The general asked,"Kaun ho tum??Yaha ghusne ki permission kaha se mili hai tumhe?"Akash walked towards them and replied,"Iam Captain Akash Saluja,former Air Force Officer and DBI agent and present commercial pilot in INDE AIRLINES jiski flight hijack ki gayi hai.Main is maamle mein aapki madat kar sakta hu bas mujhe field par jaane ki ijaazat dijiye with a few back ups."The general said,"Lagta hai aap apne hosh mein nehi hai Captain.Ye koi maamuli terrorists nehi hai,ye log us aadmi ko churwaane ki maang kar rahe hai jisey humne apni jaan par khel kar pakra tha."Akash said,"Main jaanta hu sir!!Ye log Al-Hamid ko churwaane ki koshish karna chahte hai jisne 6 mahine pehle blast karke chief minister ko jaan se marwaa diya tha.Ye jo aadmi hai,us terrorist gang ka 2^nd in command aur Al-Hamid ka chota bhai Bashir hai.Mujhe sab pata hai sir!!"The generals and the ministers looked at each other and then the minister asked,"Aapko ye sab kaise pata?"Akash smiled and replied,"Kabhi kabhi discussion se zyaada action kaam aata hai jisse waqt ki barbaadi thori si kam hoti hai.Jaipur mein land karne ke baad ATC ko jo call aaya tha humne uska voice sample test kiya aur hume ye jaankaari mili hai.Agar aapko mujh par yakeen na ho to aap DIB chief se mere baare mein tasalli kar sakte hai."Just then the DIB chief too arrived and apologized,"Iam sorry Iam late!!Bahaar press ne pakar liya tha.Ye sach keh raha hai,ye mera sabse kaabil aur sabse honhaar officer hai."The general asked,"Par hum ispar kaise bharosa karle?Ye to abhi DIB agent bhi nehi hai?"The DIB chief replied,"Aapke retirement ke baad kya aap kabhi army waale nehi rahenge?Thik usi tarah se Akash bhale hi abhi DIB ka active member bhale hi na ho par aaj bhi hamaare sabse tough aur complicated cases yehi solve karta hai.I can trust him blindly and I assure agar aap isko mauka denge,he won't disappoint you."The minister asked the chief and Akash to take their seats.

The minister asked,"Kya aapke paas koi plan hai?"Akash replied,"Har plane ke neeche ek emergency khufiya panel hota hai jiske baare mein engineers aur trained pilots ke alava kisiko nehi pata hota hai.Vohi par aircraft ke saare screws aur saare wires,gadgets sab kuch hota hai.Kisi bhi tarah se main waha se andar ghoos jaaunga aur mauka milte hi upar passengers area par jaakar unpar hamla kar dunga.Ha par aisa karne se pehle hume un saare hijackers ka dhyaan baatna parega,hume negotiate karne ka drama karna hoga,taaki mujhe andar jaane ka waqt mil sake aur iske liye hume Al-Hamid ko reeha karna hoga."The minister left his seat and screamed,"What???Do you have the little idea what you are talking about?"Akash replied,"Ji ha mujhe idea hai,par yakeen maaniye kisiko kuch nehi hoga aur saare passengers bhi bach jaayenge aur saare hijackers bhi pakde jaayenge.Trust me on this sir!!"The general laughed sarcastically and replied,"Ye baat kehne mein bohot asaan hai Captain,aap jaante bhi hai aap kya bol rahe hai?Is mein kitna risk hai?Aap ye sab isiliye keh pa rahe hai kyuki waha aapka koi relative nehi hai."Akash looked at him and with a cold tone replied,"Us flight mein meri wife aur meri 3 saal ki beti hai aur us flight mein ek college trip ka group bhi hai jisme ek aapka beta hai aur dusra minister sahaab ki beti.Aur kuch janna hai aapko?"Just at that moment,again there was a call from the hijackers.The convo :-

HC :- "To kya faisla kiya hai tumhaare sarkaar ne?"

M :- "Hume sochne ke liye thora waqt chahiye."

HC :- (laughed sarcastically) "Waqt hi to nehi hai hamaare paas.Vaise bhi aadha ghanta pura ho chuka hai.Ab taaki tum aur jaldi socho,iske liye hamaare paas tumhaare liye ek taufa hai."

The hijacker's chief pulled a boy from the passengers and then said to him,"Koi aakhri khabar pohchaani ho to apne gharwaalo ko inhe bol de."

THE BOY :- "Please mujhe bacha lijiye,mujhe marna nehi hai.Please...mujhe bacha lijiye."

The chief put the gun on the boy's forehead and on seeing that Ananya immediately covered Jaanvi's eyes and ears.There was a sound of the gun shot and there at Delhi,Akash and others closed their eyes in disappointment.Among the passengers some women and kids started crying.The call disconnected and Akash disappointedly asked,"Sir kya hum abhi bhi ek aur bekasoor ke marne ka intezaar karenge?"The minister went to a dilemma about what should be exactly done.The DIB chief said,"Please sir hamaari baat maan lijiye aur vaise bhi hamaare paas ab iske alava koi aur raasta bhi nehi hai."The minister looked at the army general and he silently nodded his head.The minister then asked the operator to connect to the President's office.
