CHAPTER - 1
A woman after completing all the kitchen stuffs returned to her bedroom and found that her little daughter was sitting alone on the bed and was looking at her father's photo sadly.The lady saw it and asked,"Aise dadda ke photo ko kyu dekh rahi ho beta?Dadda aa jaayenge na?"The girl replied,"Dadda kab aayenge mamma?Mudhe dadda ki itti yaad aa layi hai.Dadda ko bolo daldi daldi aa daaye."The woman said,"Beta dadda ko kaam se bahaar jaana para hai na aur dadda ki flight bhi hai.Dadda ye sab tumhaare liye hi to karte hai na beta,maine kaha hai unko vo aate waqt tumhaare liye dher saare toys lekar aayenge."Just at that moment,the door bell rang and the lady went to open the door.When she opened the door,she was shocked to see her husband but he put his finger on her lips and asked her to keep quiet.He went by tip-toe movement and stopped in front of the bedroom and screamed,"Meri Jaanu!!"The girl was super excited and was shocked to hear her father's voice.She looked at the door and was super happy to see her father.She screamed,"Dadda!!"and then ran to her father and he too picked her up in his arms and she hugged him tightly.The girl replied,"Dadda aap itte dei che aaye,main aapko itta yaad kar layi thi."The man replied,"Oolee baby sorry beta main na kaam ke vajah se nehi aa paaya,thora sa late ho gaya.Dekhna Shefu maasi ki shaadi hai na to maine keh diya hai ke main abhi bohot saare din apni Jaanu ke saath rahunga.Hum dono khelenge,ghumenge phir ek saath itni sari enjoyment bhi karenge."The lady was standing and listening to them and she said,"To dadda aur Jaanu ke beech mein mamma ka kya place hai."the girl replied,"Mamma bi dadda aul daanu ke chaath daayegi,pal mamma mudhe dudu aul mui nehi khilaayegi,bo ganna (ganda)hai bohot ganna hai."The man agreed,"Right tum meri beti ko bilkul bhi dudh aur muslie nehi khilaaogi.C'mon she is a Saluja,apne Punjabi baap ki Punjabi beti hai,vo ye sab nehi khaayegi.Vo to paraathe khaayegi,Chinese khaayegi aur fish curry bhi.Hai na Jaanu?"The baby girl agreed and the mother said,"Ha phir mere paas aayegi aur bolegi mamma mera pet dukh raha hai,phir mamma doctor ke paas lekar jaayegi,doctor karve medicines denge aur Jaanu ko phir se vohi dudh aur muslie khaana parega."The man scolded his wife and said,"Jab bhi bologi,bura hi bologi aur vaise Punjabi log itni jaldi bimaar nehi parte hai."The woman said,"Ha saara pyar to apni beti ke liye hai,biwi ke liye to kuch laaye hi nhi nehi."The man started laughing and then hugged his wife and said,"I love you yaar and I miss you so much!!Agar tum nehi hoti to meri Jaanu kaha se aati?"The wife replied,"Ooo!!To meri importance isliye hai kyuki main Jaanu ki ma hu."The husband understood that he said the wrong words to the wrong person in the wrong time.Seeing his condition,the wife laughed and hugged her husband and said,"I love you too!!"The man had a smile on his lips.
The man was none other than the male protagonist of the story,Captain Akash Saluja,a senior pilot of Inde Airlines and the woman was his wife,his co-pilot,First Officer,Ananya Saluja and the little girl was their beloved daughter of 3 years old,Jaanvi Saluja,lovingly called Jaanu by her parents.Akash left the job of DIB after the ID 2877 case 8 years back and took his job as a pilot permanently.The main reason behind this was to stay with Ananya forever,but still the DIB used to hire him and he also used handle some of their cases,which are quite difficult to crack.They made each and every moment of their married life beautiful and after 5 years,more brightness and beauty was added to their lives when Ananya conceived their first child.Akash desperately wanted a daughter and when Ananya delivered a baby girl,he was the happiest person on the earth.From the time of birth only,Akash was extremely possessive of her daughter and he treated her like a princess doll,who should be taken extreme care of.He gave his daughter everything best that he could afford and on seeing this extreme love for Jaanvi,Ananya sometimes becomes fed up of Akash.For Jaanvi,her father was everything.She loved her mother,but she can't live without her father.All kinds of wishes of her,whether good or bad are always fulfilled by Akash against Ananya's wishes.Akash and Jaanvi loved each other so much that when she learned to talk for the first time,she spoke dadda' first instead of mamma'.Now there was one problem of Jaanvi,which both Akash and Ananya were afraid of and that was whenever Akash had a flight,Jaanvi always used to go to the airport with her mother and used to create such a scene by crying as loudly as she could,since she didn't want to let Akash go.At that moment,all the crew of the flight used to be busy to attend her and to make her stop crying,making both Akash and Ananya very embarrassed.In some extreme cases,Akash had to take her to the cockpit and then only after saying some soothing words to Jaanvi,he could make her calm and send her back to her mother.
Now Ananya's cousin,Shefali's marriage was fixed in Jaipur and so Ananya and Jaanvi were going to attend the marriage there,whereas since Aaksh had some important job to do for the DIB so he would visit 2-3 days later.When they reached the airport,Jaanvi didn't want to come down of his father's arms.Ananya said,"Beta Shefu maasi ke shaadi mein jaana hai na tumhe?Chalo jaldi karo varna flight hume yaha chorkar chali jaayegi aur hum nehi ja paayenge.Chalo dadda ki goadi se utro."Jaanvi said,"Na na main dadda ke bina nei daaungi."Ananya asked,"Aur jab plane hume bina lekar chali jaayegi tab?"Jaanvi replied,"Dadda lekal daayenge,mee dadda pane (plane) talaana (chalaana) aata hai."Ananya and Akash tried to persuade Jaanvi but no she didn't move a bit from her point.Ananya lastly said,"To phir thik hai,main akeli chali jaati hu,tum raho apne dadda ke saath.Phir jab dadda office chale jaayenge tum akele rehna ghar par."Jaanvi immediately raised her hand and waved good bye to Ananya and said,"Ta ta mamma!!Aap danna mat,main aul dadda daldi daldi aa daayenge."Ananya was stunned seeing that she even bid bye to Ananya just to stay with her father and seeing her expressions,Akash just could not stop laughing.He taunted her,"Dekha meri beti mujhse zyaada pyar karti hai."Ananya replied,"Ha vo to dikh raha hai,thik hai main akeli hi jaati hu.Bye."Saying she started walking slowly towards inside and then Akash said to Jaanvi,"Jaanu beta mamma to ja rahi hai.Agar mamma nehi rahegi to kaun aapko story sunaayega?Kaun nehlaayega kyuki dadda to office mein rahenge na.Tum akele kaise rahogi?Aur pata hai Shefu maasi ki shaadi mein itni masti hone waali hai vo sab mamma akele enjoy karegi aur tum to miss kar dogi na."Jaanvi thought and asked,"Dadda aap loj opich daaoge?Baha Chepu (Shefu) maachi ke yaha chab khelenge?Pal agal mamma ne baha bi mudhe dudu aul mui khilaayi to?"Akash assured her,"Don't worry Jaanu dadda ne saara intezaam kar diya hai.Maine Shefu maasi ko phone karke ye bol diya hai ke meri Jaanu ko dudh aur muslie bilkul na khilaaye aur agar mamma ne khilaane ki koshish ki na to main tabhi waha aakar mamma ko daat dunga.Thik hai?Ab jaao mamma ke saath."Jaanvi asked,"Aap kab aaoge dadda?Daldi daldi aaoge na?"Akash replied,"Tum aaj raat ko sona,phir kal subhe jab uthogi na to dekhna dadda tumhaare saamne bethe honge."She asked,"Pomich??"He said,"Pakka promise abhi jaao.Jaldi jaldi mamma ko rook jaao."Jaanvi immediately got down of her father's arms and ran behind Ananya and stopped her.She held her finger and said,"Mamma talo main bi daaungi,dadda ne bola kal bo daldi daldi aa daayenge."Ananya turned towards Akash and bid him bye by saying I love you' by the movement of her lips and Akash replied him back just in the same way.Jaanvi waved her hand and said,"Tata dadda!!"Akash gave her a flying kiss and bid her bye too.
