THE RESCUE
Ananya stood on the hotel's balcony overlooking the swimming pool. She had just returned from the hotel's gym after a session and was catching her breath.
She was thinking back to the afternoon when she saw Akash and Natasha playing pools together. Both looked like they were having fun.
But Ananya could not get over the recent behaviour of Akash towards her. Was she so worthless to him that he didn't even care to return a single call and then just simply ignoring her. Her face showed signs of great distress. She and Shefali had even gone to his place only to find it locked. Her mind was so filled with worry for him.
Since Akash returned he was only curt towards her and avoided her completely. Her pondering was interrupted when she noticed Akash down near the pool in swimming shorts about to go for a swim.
She could not deny that he looked arduously desirable. She just looked at him observing his every movement. He took a plunge and began swimming quite leisurely. When she noticed three figures dressed in black scuba gear and oxygen tanks. That was very out of the ordinary. But nothing could prepare her for what she witnessed next. She could barely make out what was going on other than Akash was no longer visible above water.
Her face tensed up as she saw the men drag a body out the pool. It was Akash. She could make out blood coming from his forehead.
Ananya froze at the scene unfolding in front of her. She couldn't think clearly anymore. All that ran through her mind was that Akash hurt, Akash hurt.
Akash was hurt and he needed help and these people were very bad.
Ananya gave herself her own pep talk. 'Ananya, Akash has always been there for you, time for you to repay his favors. And also the fact that you love him.'
Ananya quickly made way down just in time to see where they were taking Akash. She had dressed up in a housekeepers uniform that she stole from the stores of the hotel. Akash was taken to the presidential suite. Again these were no small time thugs thought Ananya.
she saw one of the men emerge and began speaking on a cell phone. the phone was on speaker mode
''Sir we have him, he's knocked out and tied up''
A very suave voice that sounded oddly familiar came back in reply
''ok keep him there, I'll be there in half hour till then just leave him. no one will go in there until I get there.''
it sounded very much like Rohit Mafatlall. what she heard next confirmed it
''that big time plane owner better pay us on time, he was very unhappy that we kidnapped the wrong person last time.
''but those girls were very nice''
they spoke in a leering way that disgusted Ananya.
Ananya tried to think of a plan to distract them and she pretended to go to the next room for housekeeping. She had the can of pepper spray that she always carried with her ready to aim.
She started spraying the contents of the can and they ran crying and swearing dropping the phone while fleeing. Ananya pocketed the phone that was dropped and quickly picked the lock with the swipe card.
She was in shock to see Akash, his forehead had a large gash and blood had pasted itself right down his face on the left. He was still in the shorts and tightly bound with rope. She ran over to him.
''Akash?!'', Are you alright? Ananya said rather breathlessly.
Akash was tied up to a chair and his eyes were slightly out of focus but he was slowly coming out of it.
'Ananya..., what are you doing here? ''
''How did you find me?'' ''It's dangerous for you to be here''
Ananya was annoyed at his questioning.
''Akash for once in your life, can you please stop worrying about me and Thank me that I'm here. At least now I Can say I've helped you instead of the other way around.
She was untying the ropes from his hands and he untied the ones from his legs himself.
''And Akash I want you know something''
''what's that?''
''You mister have a lot of explaining to do when we get out of here''
he stared at her pensively not answering when they heard loud footsteps and angry voices.
He grabbed her hand and said'' We have to leave now'
They both stepped out onto the open balcony and Akash stepped over onto the ledge
he looked at Ananya, ''Ananya You've got to trust me . she understood that meant following his every lead. Together they climbed and walked over to another room's balcony which thankfully was unoccupied.

''what?? are you serious?'' Akash was dismayed
''you tell me what you know, and I'll tell you what I know.'' continued Ananya
