Chapter 11
Next morning, she saw several rose bouquets and congratulations cake waiting for her on the breakfast table. She was quite surprised. When she came to know the reason behind the same, she was shocked beyond her wits at her grandfather's words. She felt her head spinning and she quickly closed her eyes wishing that she was hallucinating. Her Grandfather came forward and hugged her.
After few minutes which seemed like eternity she opened her eyes and hugged him tight. Her Nanaji was so happy that Ananya has fulfilled dream of her parents and today he could also find someone suitable for her.
He asked her " Beta, I hope you are happy with my decision"
Her Aunt Snapped at once " Why will she not be happy papaji? Itna bada ghar mila hai and he's so smart and rich" Humari Shefu ke liye bhi soch raha hai. "
Hain who tu hai." Said her Nanaji and looked at her for response.
She was literally tearing herself inside and could not find any words to express her feelings. She could not say No, as she owed a lot to them. They had raised her since childhood and fulfilled all what she wanted. For the first time, they asked her something, how can she say no!
She was also unsure of Akash's feelings for her. She just nodded her head in silence and frustration of him not being there. She had always thought he was there at the right time like he had been in the past. But where was he today?
She almost cried in silence and wished Akash was there... She would have yelled and shouted that she only belongs to him and no one else. Only he has the right to touch her..
She tried calling him again and again and wondered where he has been. She was furious as she held him responsible for everything that is happening in her life. She was battling between her mind and heart. Her heart was saying, the moment he knows about this he will be there and her mind was saying Yeah he will come as he is responsible for this.
Suddenly she felt suffocated in her own house...and felt very helpless for him not being around. She immediately looked at his smiling face on her mobile and kept it close to her heart.
She went back to her room and closed the door.
She was sitting silently and looking at his face, his smile, his expressions, his touch, his feel was still fresh with her and slept feeling him. They were indeed made for each other.
Another day passed.
Everyone had been busy preparing for her birthday celebrations and engagement.
Mafatlal had been calling her several times and he had arranged for a grand celebration in Hilton. He had booked the entire hall and invited all Inde Airlines Staff.
He even wanted to take her out to buy engagement ring, but she somehow managed to convince him to keep it as a surprise. In reality she did not even wanted to see his face, forget about getting engaged with him.
It was her Birthday next day, she woke up and took blessings from her family. She had her flight to Goa today. Mr Sen had called her to fly as they had fewer pilots on job today, she was also coming back the same day as it was her engagement in the evening.
While she was getting ready to leave for Airport, Mafatlal was at her door to wish her.
He came in and said " Happy Birthday Ananya"
Thank you Sir, she said and her voice trailed off.
Come on, you r still calling me as Sir, I told you .. and the he came forward and wrapped his arms around her waist whispering close to her ear " Call me Mafatlal, your Mafatlal, irritating her more.
She shoved off his hands at once and turned around. She wiped the lone tear that could escape off her eyes.
" I do not like this , She said and turned around glaring at him.
Come on, you are going to be my legally wedded wife , he grinned widely at her.
" Its my right, you know." We are going to get engaged tonight.
She then went and sat on the couch. All her family members also came and started looking at the gifts he got for her.
He came and sat besides her on the couch. He took her hand in his and squeezed it tightly. He was not letting go any chance to touch her.
She got up and said" I am leaving for airport, Have a flight to catch"
He was like" Why are you flying today? I will just call up Mr Sen and change the schedule"
She was " no, I donot want my personal life to effect my professional life" Please.
Then without looking at him again, she left as her taxi was waiting downstairs.
Mafatlal, knew she likes Akash and he was just playing with her feelings . He was thinking in his mind "Go Ananya, go, you will be mine anyways"
And you will never find Akash near you!
