Chapter 9
With slight hesitation, he quickly lifted her Pajama up and saw the bruised wound. It was a deep wound and her knee was fully scratched. He got angry that she did not tell him how much hurt she was ... He immediately called reception and asked for first Aid box and cleaned her wound with water. He was a trained professional and he knew how to deal with this type of wound.
He applied the required antiseptics and covered the wound.
He felt bad knowing in how much pain she must be. He tried waking her up and but she was highly drained out due to full day travel... along with that Rain and Pain had made her very weak.
Her hands were cold and so were her feet. Her body was shaking too. He covered her with his blanket and then sat beside her.
It was raining very heavily and lights were still out.
Ananya stirred in her sleep as she was feeling cold. He knew she was uncomfortable and was in lot of pain. He could see frown on her forehead and called out to her" Ananya, please wake up...I cannot see you like. Why didn't' u tell me you were so hurt? Please Ananya, look at me. "
She meant a lot to her and he could not see her like this..Morever she had trusted him so much to even agree to share the room with him..
He then held her hand and started rubbing them. He could feel her trembling and he moved closer to her. He was now getting worried.
After few minutes she opened her eyes slowly. With her cheeks and nose red due to the cold, she looked pale and cute.
"Ananya?" he whispered slowly in her ear.
"Hmm?"
He felt a sign of relief ! and then he helped her to sit and came closer to her.
He held her by her shoulders and "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked calmly.
"I thought I can handle it. But...it's..." she answered between her sobs.
"Please have this Pain Killer. Your wound is deep and it may pain more due to cold weather and will take longer to heal".
She took the same and looked at him with teary eyes, and mumbled..." Akash... I am ...sorry...and then she started crying.
Ananya, You will be fine ! he called out again and then instantly she hugged him, burying her face in the crook of his neck and sobbed silently with her petit body shaking due to cold and attempting to refrain the sobs.
For a moment he stayed still, not expecting this. Next moment when his brain realized her presence he hugged her and held her very close to him, giving her the warmth of togetherness and being there for her ! His Pulses quickened at the sudden contact of their bodies .
She felt heavenly being in his protective yet strong arms and she needed this comfort and support ! Above all she trusted him more than anyone else. She snuggled even closer with their bodies touching each other closely.
Neither of them spoke, they just stayed silent in each other's embrace. His heart was beating frantically and was almost thundering in his ears. It was a blissful feeling !
After sometime, he slowly moved his one hand on her hair and his other hand slid on her waist. He quickly moved his hand out.. He could never think of crossing his limits and that too with his Ananya ...She had stopped crying and had fallen asleep in his safe arms. She was also under the influence of the sedative and pain Killer he gave her.
He could not leave her as she was still shaking. He slid her down on the bed and continued to hold her while she was happily sleeping in his arms.
He stared at her sleeping peacefully beside him. He raised himself on his elbow and gently pulled her closer to himself by her waist. She didn't budge with the slight movement. She was highly exhausted, he slowly moved her tendrils behind her ears and then he leaned in and kissed her forehead.
He was never so sure... He had to admit he had fallen for her deeply ! The more he wanted to stay away from her... he was getting close to her.
Slowly he moved her hand and got up and when he saw her comfortable and sleeping in deep slumber he moved to his couch and drifted away in sleep.
It was early morning when he woke. She was still sleeping. ! She was looking so beautiful and her face was glowing with morning freshness ..He wished to see her face every day when he wakes up!
He was now worried as how she will fly the plane with him as she will not be able to walk properly. He made few calls and ordered tea and breakfast.
She woke up hearing him talking with someone on call. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to stand.. She found it difficult to stand so she held onto the wall for support.
" How are you feeling now Ananya ?" Be careful you have a deep cut and it's bruised."
She looked at him and felt guilty of what she did yesterday. More than guilt it was the fear of what he must be thinking about her was tearing her inside.. She had fallen for him and she trusted him but she was not sure of his feelings.
She tried to justify and said " I .. I am sorry , I do not know why ...Sorry... " I do not why I did that yesterday" her voice choked again with holding back her tears.
He came forward and kept his finger on her lips and as usual with his expressive eyes looked at her ... he wanted to tell that its ok, and there should be no regret...He understands her and she can trust him." Her heart almost stopped beating the moment he touched her lip.. She closed her eyes to gather herself back.. She could not understand how this Strict Senior Pilot always understood what she wanted to say, what she needed , even when she didn' t ask for it. He was always there for her support and she felt extremely happy about it.
Akash, She called out as they were about to leave for the airport.
When he turned aside she said "You are a very nice person."
"Oh, thank God you realized it. Better late than never, you know." He chuckled at his own words..
"Thanks." She smiled at him. "For just being there for me." She added.
"I'll always be there for you Ananya. Forever." he said slowly which she probably did not hear..
and then said " Ananya, you will not be flying the plane today" I have booked your passenger ticket on the same plane.
She looked at him again in surprise and he entwined his fingers with hers and left for the airport.
