I feel he was present on the flight to monitor Ananya's pilot skills. Also because at the end of it all he handed over a file to the other guy and told Ananya she'll hear from the committee in the morning.

it would be superawsum if his character turns out to be antagonist and if they do that i would like them to do it in american series way maintain supense and then shock everyone .

Yeah I'm pretty sure that was just a nightmare coz its quite obvious that after being fired you cant pilot another plane.😆😆😆...lolzzz and Ananya was shown flying with another co-pilot in the precap as well as the promo
