GEC Watch: Colors retains top spot; Australia-India ODI in top 10 programmes

Hindi general entertainment channel, Colors continues at the top spot in Week 45 as well, with 323 GRPs. It has garnered 23 per cent share in the overall GEC pie, as per TAM data for C&S 4+, HSM audiences. Four of its shows are in the top 10 in the latest week.

STAR Plus is at No. 2 with 266 GRPs, followed by Zee at No. 3 with 230 GRPs. STAR Plus has added 23 GRPs from Week 44. The relative shares for the two channels are 19 per cent and 16 per cent, respectively.

Sony has added 23 GRPs in the latest week. At No. 4, its relative share stands at 13 per cent. The channel has moved adequately ahead of NDTV Imagine, which has slipped to No. 6 and has 8 per cent share in the GEC pie. At No. 5 is DD1, garnering 9 per cent share.

SAB's share in Week 45 stands at 5 per cent; while STAR One's share remains 3 per cent. Sahara One has 2 per cent share; while STAR Utsav and 9X have 1 per cent each.

Among the most watched programmes, Uttaran is at No. 1, with a TVR of 6.6. It is followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Balika Vadhu, both recording a TVR of 6. Na Aana Is Des Laado and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo have recorded TVRs of 5.8 and 5.6, respectively. The ODI between Australia and India garnered 5.4 TVR.

The other shows in the top 10 are: Bidaai, Chhoti Bahu, Pavitra Rishta and Bairi Piya.

agle janam wud hv been at no.4 spot but Laddo special on saturday brought agle janam down to no.5

That's good news. It took a whole death scene to bring AJMBHK up to the top 4 shows which still keeps my mind in doubt to how well the show will have to perform to reach number 1 position.
