star one is not there becuase none of it's shows are in the top 100. and I don't think any site keeps track of shows which are beyond the top 100 shows.

@ Gur & Minakshi: I agree with both you guys. It is weird how the ratings with aMap don't match with TAM and TAM ratings are not consistent. It is rather confusing. Like Minakshi said in my scrap, TAM ratings don't match TAM rating figures that are given in articles. None of it makes clear sense to me.

the articles do use TAM ratings, but they covert them into TRP's and on the website they post TVR's. it's just a different scale, but the measurement is the same.

and aMap is different all together.

But I think they r planning to create a new agency for checking these trp's, as these current ratings don't include small towns. Infact the TAM Ratings takes a sample of 8000 homes only and I think I once read more than half of these homes are in mumbai and bombay. so you see they really don''t represent India as a whole.

I can't belive advertisers decide to spend crores of their money looking at these TRP's only.
Infact, Doordarshan is the most watched channel in India, but since it has rural audience, and they don't have these meter's there, it doesn't get any numbers and colors on the other hand target's urban areas a lot, and hence it get's high trp's since a majority of the meters are in urban areas.
