Dear Friends,
A woman after turning into a mother, forgets everything else and motherhood becomes her first priority, exceptions are there but then exceptions are not rules, thankfully our Thakurain is no exception, aaj ki do baatein...
1) Thakurain while pleading for her son's life ensures Laali knows the stakes involved, she is warning Laali at the same time pleading her, wants Laali to save her son at the same time does not want Laali to get hurt, Daasi has no right to fall in love, she will tempt her beau to fall but she herself will keep her heart aloof....as a mother it was the duty of the Thakurain to let Laali know the stakes....she may be sounding heartless but she herself knows how difficult it is and maybe consoling herself that 'Laali has gone into it knowingly, like the way we console our actions many a times.....
2) Siddeshwari and Laali, the contrast of the biwi and dasi was shown very well, while Sid is the real biwi, she does not have any emotional involvement with Shekhar while Laali who is supposed not to be in love cannot explain her hesitation and the position to the wife....it was heart wrenching specially when Sid said I hope you do not fall asleep when he talks like I did, it is such a private moment and Sid shares it with Lali so easily that Laali becomes speechless, the contrast and the reverse roles they are in was very aptly shown, both Sukriti and Ratan did a wonderful job and I think in this scene Sukriti stole the show as her face remained so innocent inspite of being a wife and having been married for long enough...without any makeup she was looking like an untouched flower, just bloomed and not knowing the ways of life....
Jate jate, Shekhar at last laughed, he is not used to a woman taking care of him so much, he is amazed to see somebody engaged in his seva....well we are all eager to see it and waiting for the love to happenš
Last but not the least, the father and the son stole the show from under the noses of the Thakurain, Shekhar his biwi and his dasi, š³ hearing shekhar's laughter the old man was beaming, after so long Shekhar is laughing, Loha mar gaya hoga, lo and behold Loha comes and stands next to him, nehi babuji hum parlok nehi sidhare......nehi sidhare? areh kyu nehi!! the Old man is amazed to see his son alive and speaking....seeing their expressions I laughed and laughed, going to bed with a smile on my face, yes most of the shows only show tragedy, here also the tragedy is there but nicely wrapped in a silk glove, which puts a balm on you after showing something serious, you ponder on the points but you also appreciate the humour in it....thori kadwi thori mithi, just the way it should be....your thoughts friends, love Tin
