I read an article which said the villagers suspect Laali of jewellary theft. Laali takes the blame of theft on herself. As per the law, the thief's fingers are to be chopped off. Panchayat announces Laali's punishment. Shekhar steps in and admits is crime. The drama wouldn't end there as one would see the outburst of Shekhar who would showcase his emotions and dilemma and will hurt himself.
