If AJMBHKJ is based on any of his novels, then it will be a masterpiece.

As part of my curricula, I read a few of the translated (English) versions - Parineeta, Mrs. Biraj, The Final Question, Bindu's Son and The Eldest Sister.

Just as Maupassant cannot be appreciated unless one knows French ... Sharat Chandra cannot be appreciated unless one knows Bengali.

Like Tagore, his novels have bold concepts and one is forced to face life, up, close and personal and question the essence of his existence.

His novels stir the soul and things are never the same again. The soul is metamorphosed ... forever. 😍

Don't know if it's based on any Novel. Maybe the concept can be, but I don't think the story is. As the story is usually made by the channel in keeping the popularity of the show in mind and which tracks get better response from the audiences.

No it is not Sarat Chandra's novel...and more over Sarat Chandra Chatterjee's novel will be based on bengal and not on bihar.....he usually wrote it that way....
