Its tic-tac-toe again for Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein

Star Plus's weekly show Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein is going to be pulled off yet another time but this time for an uncertain period of time. Earlier, in 2007, the show was pulled off for 9 weeks to make way for some special events, telecast of award functions and movies. The timing of the show too keeps changing.

A source from the production house says, "When the show commenced it aired on Saturdays from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Later it was shifted to Sundays in the same time-slot. But the channel had to skip it many a times as it had to telecast movies and award functions. Then it was made a bi-weekly and started airing on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm only to become a weekly show that airs on Fridays from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm."

"Though we have no clue about the status of the show we are keeping our fingers crossed. We are uncertain about the duration of the pull-off as it's completely a channel's prerogative. This is the second time the channel has pulled the show off. Last year the show was pulled off for 9 weeks. This time they may reschedule the show or shift it to Star One as happened in the case of Sshh Phir Koi Hai," concludes the source.

Another source says, "The future of the show remains doubtful as the set of the show is demolished to make way for the shooting of a Bhojpuri movie."

Nupur Alankar , an actress from the show confirms the news and says, "The show will be pulled off from 6 May, Friday. We have no clue about the extent of the pull off but the channel has asked us to hang on as they have assured us that they will bring the show back in a couple of weeks."

So is she planning to take up any new show? Nupur says, "As an actor I am bound to be insecure as I am not aware when the show will return. I am eyeing new shows."

Producer Anupam Kalidhar chose not to comment but said, "The show will be pulled off starting this Friday."

Prem Kamath, Star India VP Marketing and Communications, remained unavailable for his comment

the set is demolished? what the.. and they are saying it will return?

what are they planning to do? shift the whole story to Mumbai?????

ppl, we need to act fast!

btw, thanks tashu. 😊 its so silly to leave all the other boring shows on air .. and take this gem off..

So there you go!!!...we will just have to wait..i must say Nupurs comments seem far more positive.....i dont blame the makers..its best for them to take a back seat and not comment...sometimes these comments go against you later!!!!

My gut feeling is..if we are patient..it will come back!!..i feel thats what the makers are doing...maybe this will give them some more time to think and come out with something even nicer!!!!

So it is time let star know , we WANT it back!!!

build the set again i dont care - maybe the steel dude comes back and builds it again for them!

Ok..lets go for it...because now it seems clear its the channels perogative!!!....let me know how you guys want to go about it..

Lets get our message across to the channel....i think we need to do this systematically...ket ..why dont you and Nisha along with Shreya take the lead!!!...Fazila can get us all the info......if you like..i can help with putting it all together..or whatever you guys wish is ok...lets.do it in such a way that its communicated to the channell in the correct manner..i mean we dont want to piss them off!!!!..so we have to be tactful........

Lets go for it.......

I am sure everyone here is willing to be party to this and infact all of us can put in our bits....

great sonia. so we have heard from them it is time to act.

the strategy (1st draft) is in progress (nearly) actually, once its ready we will put it ffd here on the forum.. decide on it, and get the action plan implemented.
