it's good to be honest with people, but that doesn't mean that you have to be rude. you can be honest and polite at the same time. like if you're criticizing someone, give constructive criticism. it seems like you just aren't able to do that.

here is something for you to consider...say someone just like you who is honest..comes to you on a day when you r (God forbid) having a bad hair/dress day, and says on your face, "ahh how awful is tht dress! you look horrible! I hate that hair do of yours"...even though he or she is being honest , they are being mean and rude..and that would hurt you no end..the same applies to others..if you meet a person you barely know and he/she is wearing an awful dresss, dont try to be rude to him or her, because, for all you know they need someone to tell them, politely that something is wrong with their way of dressing. If you tell them harshly and rudely, you become the mean person. So dont go being honest to the point of ourtightly becoming mean and rude. You can tell people the honest truth in a very sugar coated way, that will send the message you want, and also not make you the mean and rude person, which it would make you look like one, wihtout your intensions.
