Thank you Parud, you are being generous 😃.I already wrote the ending but need to make it a little more romantic for a happy ending, the first 2 parts are a build up to the end. Have every intention of completing what i started. Tomorrow for sure. 16 plus it will be... Maybe I will put it past a few of you before posting it on here 😉
It was past midnight, the house was eerily silent, but Vedika was wide awake. Still pacing around in her room, restless. She had given up trying to sleep. She was trying to do what was right for Sahil, but ended up hurting him beyond measure, his words were still echoing within her. She couldn't take this anymore, she could sense what he was going through and that made her sick with worry and hurt.
The only thing that she could coherently remember was Sahil' every single time that Sahil professed his love to her "Vedika ji, I love you his words were echoing in her head, torturing her, wanting her to go to him this very moment and take back all that she had said in the day. Her eyes were tearing up again, she felt suffocated, could not breathe, she needed air. Without a thought about the time of the night or her destination, she rushed outside, to the hall, opened the door wanting air and stood rooted to the spot. There, she saw the silhouette that looked eerily like Sahil standing, leaning against the pillar. She instantly knew it was really him. As if he sensed her too, his head lifted slowly and they looked at each other. His eyes looked sad and lifeless, he seemed to be pleading with her, asking her where else could he go when he hurt so bad... his eyes were asking her to show him just a glimpse of affection, give him just a little space in her heart, just once.
She lost all sense of rhyme or reason, her legs moved, the next minute she was rushing towards him gathering pace. For the first time she hugged him, her hands wrapped around him, her head rested on his chest, she held on to him tightly, wanting to wipe away all the pain that she had caused him. She finally let the flood of emotions loose, tears turned to sobs. That was enough to get a reaction from Sahil. He hugged her back tightly wrapping one arm around her waist and caressing her head with the other. Time stood still, he was trying to comfort her, when she should have been the one comforting him, will he make it easy for her and love her any less.
She heard him say, "Vedika ji, please do not cry, it is ok, I am ok, please do not cry. She could feel his tears in her neck, he held her tight, they both needed each other to ease this pain, both his and hers, that's been there for so long in refusing to accept him as hers. They stood together drawing strength from each other for what seemed like an eternity. She was muttering into his wet T Shirt, was it a Flintstone she was seeing in it, she wondered with a hint of a smile. "Sahil, I am sorry, I am so sorry. I did not mean what I said, I know how much you love me, I was trying to make you leave me and have a life with someone who you really deserve. The thought of having to leave him made her start to cry all over, emotions once again overwhelmed her, something she had held locked within herself all this time. She like him had always wanted... no, longed to be with him. But could never break the shackles of society like he seemed able to do.
Sahil's hold loosened a bit and he slightly moved away from her one hand still wrapped around her waist, he moved the other to hold her cheek, with his thumb he gently wiped a tear from her eye, making her look at him. "Shhh, it is ok, everything will be ok now. I will never let you go. No more talk of asking me to leave you.
"Don't you know Vedika ji, what will happen to me if I left you? Will you be able to let me go forever? He looked into her eyes to see her reaction, her eyes said No' and her lips quivered at the thought of never being able to see her Sahil again. He didn't need words from her to understand her longings, his emotions were always a reflection of hers. Sahil said firmly, "I am not leaving you, not now not ever. No good ever comes anytime we are apart. He moved his other arm and cupped her face with both his hands and wiped away the remaining tears.
"I am yours and I know you are mine, you love me as much as I love you, and you have always been mine. Even you cannot deny that anymore Vedika ji. With confidence and authority, he said "And I am here to stay, I am never going away from you... ever! You love me as much as I do and I will not let you hide behind stigmas anymore.
His words and the fear of losing him were stronger than her other fears. She finally gave in to her feelings and longings. She wanted to be with him, she wanted to be comforted by him, pampered by him. Wanted to laugh and cry with him. Share his life... the thoughts felt good. As if he could read what she was thinking, there was a smile in his eyes, mirroring her happiness. The wind was picking up and his hair flopped on his forehead and her Sahil finally had a smile on his face, he looked so carefree and happy. He was intoxicating her with the essence of him, the sadness and loss was easing away and happiness was taking its place, she had given into his will, like always.
He wanted to feel her close to him again, the slight distance he was maintaining felt like miles. He knew that she has given in, she was his now and they would never be apart. Smilingly he wiped the remaining tears away, caressing her face along the way, ever so often they would move close to her lips but not quite touching them. It all looked innocent but he knew the effect he had on her. He held her hips with one hand and caressed her open back with the other, and slowly leaned into her for a kiss.
Very close to her, he whispered, "I want to make you happy, want to make you smile, let this be the last time we cry. Please accept my love Vedika... like me, you would never be able to let go of me. Please do not ask me to leave you. We can be happy only with each other.
For once he did not wait for her answer, he felt it. He closed the space between them and softly placed kisses on her forehead, her eyes, her nose, he moved to the crook of her neck and nuzzled her neck, her eyes closed involuntarily. Unable to hold herself back, she moaned softly and held on closely to Sahil. It felt so right, the only place where she was happy and at peace and she did not have to fight this anymore.
Sahil slowly let his hand caress her bare waist, enjoying the feel of her skin, cherishing her reaction to his touch. Her lips parted, she had her eyes closed a little shy and a lot more caught in the moment. He finally touched his lips to hers, passion ignited, the kiss deepened, his other hand was on her back caressing the area that her blouse failed to cover, her skin was soft as silk, he was pulling her closer to him. He wanted no space between them both emotional and physical.
He explored her mouth like he was in a dessert and she was the oasis, tasting, teasing, nibbling, biting. He was wrecking havock on her, he momentarily moved let her lips go and shifted his focus to her neck. He could sense her tensing up, he continued his assault on her, touching her bare skin, driving her mad the way only he could... She was moaning, she wanted more and she pulled him back to her again for another kiss. She could not keep fighting and subduing her love for Sahil anymore. She had surrendered to him, all the longings she had fought to repress were let lose. She was beyond thought, not concerned about what would happen if their neighbours would see them kissing out in the open, in the wee hours or about what society would think. Right now, everything felt right, just the way it should be, she could feel happiness bubbling inside her, something she had not felt for a long time, it felt like a dream, it felt perfect. She felt content and elated in his arms. She felt safe and loved, she could see the same feelings reflect in his eyes, in his kiss and touch. When they moved apart for air and when their breathing returned to normal, her head on his chest, she had a smile in her face. Happy at last to belong to him. He moved away a little to look into her eyes, Sahil had was smiling too, the goofier kind, trademark Sahil smile, all happy and jumpy with her in his arms, she couldn't help but laugh at his antics. She said, "Sahil, I love you a lot, please never let me go, even if I ask you to." He kissed her again and took her back in his arms and said, "I will not let you go, not now, not ever"
This was what she always wanted, but never let out. Not anymore, she still did not know what the future held for them or how they were going to face society or the families or Arya. But she knew that when they were together no hurdle was insurmountable. They will think about that tomorrow. For now, she needed Sahil like the air that she breathed and she felt free in his arms and she wanted to hold on to this moment, to feel his happiness some more.
It is time to fight to be with him. She stood still, with a radiant smile on her face, with not a trace of the earlier sadness, her head on his chest, his on her head, arms wrapped around each other closely like they would never let go. Finally, happy!
