Abhi is a normal human being
He could have stayed back at office but he honours her request so he came.
Obviously abhi and simi know the truth that simi was rejected multiple times since she is not smart and also fat.And when Abhi as husband already in foul mood regarding bhalla gets to hear about admirers in KB for his wife, since he knows about bhalla issue, he got irritated quickly.
Abhi is not god and picture perfect. They felt the need to show flaws from his side also. So they showed him walking off from lunch. Though not correct, I feel its okay.
Actually today was the first time their age gap issue in society was brought out. When Vishal asks about how they met in college and their love story, both are uncomfortable. Its the first time they both are presented with their age issue. That aggravated the situation for Abhi.
We love the character too much to accept flaws from him. But from a lover and boyfriend before, Abhi is a husband now. So things are different when it relates to Simi and him. She also din understand that and kept him in the dark. Not discussing neetu's issue with him earlier was okay since they were unmarried and it is not about herself. So okay if Simi did not tell Abhi about Neetu's pregnancy.
Today also Simi's demand was not correct. She tells him to take half day off for going for lunch. Its not milis wedding or betrothal.Well in 12/24 KB it is not even important if a father attends a daughters wedding. So why is Abhi needed for going for lunch to Vishals house. Manju saying that i promised them all will go, call abhi right now....whats all this? is Abhi their servant. So its okay the behaved. People have to learn. At least Mili pitched in saying he is in new job and will be busy learning his job so its ok she said. His own wife will not care about that. Wont Vishal's people understand if Simi says that her husband could not come because its his new job and so no leave was granted. Very funny wife and her family. How else will he behave? Simi knows he is angry so why then irritate him further saying...ghar ke damaad ho...responsibilty...etc. did he ever shirk his responsibilty, just not fair.
If Abhi was really mad at Simi, he should have left her and gone. He did not. He is readily caring for papaji, defends Sethi khaandaan in front of neighbors, is willing to face the society together for the mistake his sister-in-law did by getting pregnant before marriage. A little irritation on his part can be forgiven. He was not like this. Its Simi's fault that he has turned into an angry character. She better put up with this.
Simi has done enough damage to his reputation before they got married. Insulted him time and again, was willing to marry Nakul in spite of being married. All that while he has been there for her. He has left his home, his comfort, his people, his luxury, his belongings, his jeep, his money, his time, his energy and everything for her sake. The least a man will expect is peace which is also lost in serving 12/24 KB. There was no hurry for Abhi to get married. He would have had the time to comfortably seek a job, settle down and marry the girl of his choice. Its her indecisiveness that forced him to marry her even before he had a job and house. He had one. Thanks to Simi's indecisiveness or rather wrong decision in rubbing shoulders the wrong way with Nakul,Abhi never had his job and flat. Then whats the point in saying Abhi should think if not for Simi, where he would have slept that night. Well if not for Simi, he would at least be having a place to sleep. Thanks to Simi again.
So all of you saying Abhi should not react this way is expecting too much from actually speaking a 22 year old guy. He is extremes in showering love and in anger too. Abhi does not lose the freedom to be angry because hei damaad of 12/24 or because he is Simi's husband.
