I think nothing we do is really going to help. I was just contemplating. Most of us in this forum have called the Zee tv response team and shared our concern.
The show people are aiming at TRPs by going in the same lines as that of other serials. What they fail to understand is that initially the show was a breath of fresh air definetely different from the monotonous saas bahu stories with emphasis on back biting and plotting against family members.
And whatever we as an international audience try and wite or even call them, ours is a very insignificant group. You can count how many members reply on this forum. Hardly making upto approximately 30 active members. So even if they read whats written by 30 individual members, they dont seem to care about it. majority of the Indian audience i doubt are here in the forum. So the responses of the younger generation in India watching the serial, either dont know where to send their responses. Half the crowd watching the show will be middle aged women from India wwho dont enter a forum or use computers for that matter since they have no time. Even if they dont agree with what they are showing in the show, they hardly express. According to most of them, its just another show they sit, watch, discuss may be, and then they dont care.
Unfortunately, it is us who are here thinking we have some sense of societal responsibility about what is being offered to an audience. We have taken it so much to heart. What more can loyal viewers do. And we have done our best. But a meagre 30 member response and that too an international audience who does not even contribute to TRPs and viewership since we watch through net, will it make a difference to them about what we say.
These people are competing with the rest of the show's lead heroines to make Simi the most sacrificial one. I wish these people could become trend setters. The plotting and hatred we can see in the rest of the serials. Why bring in the same here.
Address real issues like dealing with society. there was a very great potential in the initial story.
Simi marrying younger Abhi and if Abhi still din have a job, how a working wife has to deal with her husband who is still struggling to make a career.
Anuj managing a wife brought up in high society and their differences.
Neetu being an unwed single mother and learning to fight society being a single mother.
Mili being career oriented and her struggle with family's finances till she goes for higher studies.
How much of actual social issues could have been addressed so beautifully.
And they have the wonderful star cast who would excel given a proper script.
All sad stories and sobbing is in plenty in all the tv serials and tv channels put together.
This story 12/24,KB would have made a difference.
Please dont borrow storyline from other serials to match their TRPs. However you guys try, the TRPs dont improve because already people watching that plot elsewhere will also be loyal viewers. You can never grab an audience like that. they will still stick to it. Aren't we hoping things would change????/
You would automatically get a wide range of audience who would relate to the story some way or other. it was like that before. Now this fallen into the same baseless plot of evil doings within family. there are better problems in the society to be addressed rather than same old hatching and plotting. Enough is enough, please stop this drama of problem solving. Address major issues which is of relevance.
Become trend setters....Make a difference. Its a request.
