I feel compelled to write because this forum is becoming more and more meaningless by the day. Any opinion which is intellectually sound and of a different dimension is stifled very unceremoniously and I find it rather sad and all that one gets to read is the most inane and boring stuff that only highly frustrated minds can come up with.
Rakhsha, please do have some respect for the democratic rights of the various members of the forum to express their opinions.
What has brought us all together is the fact that we are all watching the same programme and that we all feel compelled at times to put forth our viewpoints on the same.
Some of us have freaked out on the age difference between the protagonists while others have not been perturbed by it. Some of us refuse to accept unrealistic and melodramatic twists and turns such as abhi electrocuting himself or being the sad lovelorn hero while others have lapped it up. Some of us liked the serial because it was very realistic at least initially, some of us are attracted to it because it depicts a place we know, because the characters are identifiable and so on and so forth.
We all have the right to express our opinions if we feel that things are getting implausible in the serial or if we have serious objections to some of the ideas put forward on burning issues such as rape, the culprit and the victim or dishonesty in hiding preganancies and duping poor innocent unsuspecting individuals and so on and so forth.
This is an appeal to allow different strokes to co-exist in harmony in keeping with truly democratic values.
And honestly if this post is locked then there certainly is SERIOUS concern for worry guys!!!!
Padma

Thank you so much.
My point is that why can't we have different opinions and why can't we have healthy discussions?
After all we are all adults and admit that people have every right to have their own set of values, beliefs and opinions based on their own upbringing and experiences.
Despite all our differences we remain open to discussion and remain friends and may be end up enriching each other or allowing the other to see things from a different perspective.
Isn't that wonderful?
So we should encourage this on the forum and not stifle whatever one perceives as dissension or opposition. It is neither. It is just an endeavour to put forward one's thoughts on the programme.

Of course it is Padma But sadly enough Some people think it's negativity if you point out anything impractical in the Serial...So....some of those posts are deleted to Boost Postivity {n hence Popularity??} of the forum so I guess the focus is more on trying to increase Popularity of the drama{anyways ,it's just a drama....Simmi & Abhi are all imaginary characters - but I always thought it's more Practical to discuss about the Social issues that they show on the TV dramas}rather than Fair judgement. or free thinking😳
Sorry,Couldn't help but say Clearly!!

Well said Iamindian!
Absolutely we are completely forgetting the main issues being raised, the manner in which they are being raised and the fact that the rest is just completely imaginary and fictitious!!!
And instead of popularity I would call it promoting sycophancy because of earlier experiences of many members not allowed to express their opinions.

If we can stick to discussion and bring about a friendly atmosphere in the forum its truly a welcome. I have also wanting the same and unfortunately some good thought were not given more scope in the forum and I really feel missing something

Freedom of speech is truly what a forum is about and bring your thoughts and to share your view points on a podium like this what better can i ask for !!

You are right. We all have different viewpoints about a show but these are not welcome unless they are framed in a positive light. Meaning, you must gush over the show and somewhere, buried in your post, you can hint at something you don't like. You cannot be blatant about it otherwise it will be offensive to viewers.

well I call it hypocrisy Laila. Sad but true. And what's the point of stating the obvious and going on and on? Where is the scope for discussion then???
Ok for gushing sometimes but sometimes we also need some interesting topics and discussions, isn't it?
So many issues have been raised in the serial after all.
Love,
Padma
