That is a pro-life view. The pro-choice view is that every child deserves to be born into a loving, financially and emotionally stable and mature family. Unfortunately, some people make some stupid choices, or an accident occurs, and they are not able to provide this environment for the unborn child. The mother may not be emotionally mature or financially secure or she might not have the support of the father. In such cases, abortion may be justified. Or, take the even more extreme case, if the mother's life is in danger. Can you trade one life for another?

this can open up whole new sets of questions, I agree why can't they want to keep the baby, But considerting the fact that Nitu has nothing and so does vicky. How will they raise a baby. they thought they were jut having fun without realizin that this can serious conseqynces, They could hae use the protection. I guess both Nitu and icky were naive and caught in a momment of passion now being punished for mistake.

I agree . They are . and no justification denies it, But the fact remains both are irresposible impulsive human beiings who do stupid things. True they should have taken precaution before and after but neither of them bothered about it. What is done it done. May be Nitu will keep the baby and vicky will marry her with the baby who knows.

Even it weren't about being an unmarried mother and bringing shame to the family, I would still think abortion is a better option for couples like neetu and vicky. They do not stand anywhere right now, Vicky is a driver (and a partime thief lol) and neetu is unemployed. In addition, they are very impulsive, irresponsible and immature people.

Just a clarification, although the morning-after-pill does not technically cause an abortion, it has three modes of function one of them being the prevention of implantation of a fertilized egg, which is not technically a fetus, but certainly on its way to being one. Some may think this is sinful too! The morning after pill is also not 100% effective.

One problem in India is that they dont teach all this in schools...i know all about the emergency contraceptives & family planning and all that. But that is only because they taught us in school. If they didnt, i wouldnt know anything about sex, protection, std's, etc.


My opinion on abortion is different.
I do believe that if you have sex, face the consequences
but i also believe that everyone has their own personal life & if you're not involved in it, stay out!
If my best friend tomorrow wants an abortion or something, i'd ask her "are you sure?"
& tell her the pro's and con's & if she still wants one, i'll support her.

There are some people who just cant raise kids! How are Neetu & Vicky going to raise their kids without a good financial status? It would be a sin to bring that kid into the world and not take care of the baby properly. Sure, people can give their babies up for adoption, but there are tons of kids in the world that need parents, why add some more? Why give birth to a baby if you're not going to keep him/her.


I also think its wrong to abort, cause its killing a soon-to-be life
But thats my personal opinion & im going to keep it to myself & not force it on someone.
BUT, i've never been in a situation like Neetu's so i cant say that im against abortion whole-heartedly.

i have no idea what i'll do. I know that i'll consider a abortion. Heck, im 16! !hat am i gonna do with a baby?
If i abort the kid, i'll regret it/ think about it for the rest of my life.
If i dont, it'll ruin my life forever.


Im just wondering, if you're a girl & you're really really young & get into the moment & have sex and end up pregnant. What would you do? Think about in seriously...like if it actually happened.

It is interesting that the creatives have not addressed the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. In a country where the rate of HIV infection is so high and rising, HIV and other STDs should be addressed; TV is a good medium for this since so much of the population watches Hindi serials.

The emergency contraceptive(EC) needs to be taken within 24 hours...& NO its not an abortion pill. I've heard many people call it that who are against abortion. Right when we learned about it my teacher told us this first...its not an abortion pill! Lol i didnt want to talk about this but here i go...Sperm stays in the body for 5-7 days and it takes a while for the sperm to get to the egg. If you take the pill, it prevents the egg from being fertilized.


This is the only type of pill available specifically for emergency contraception in the United States (sold under the brand names Plan B, Plan B One-Step, and Next Choice). Progestin-only pills can reduce your risk of getting pregnant by 89% (What does that mean?). You are also less likely to have side effects if you use these pills for emergency contraception.
