I cannot believe it, why does everyone feel the need for a mediator or for Nukul to play cupid. I have asked people here what purpose it serves and the answer is that Abhi and Simi need someone to bring them together. The need for someone to bring them together suggests they are perfectly incapable of doing it themselves.
Here's what should happen:
Simi goes out with Nukul tomorrow. Nukul tells Abhi that he went out with Simi and she was the one who arranged the date. He adds that she denies she has any feelings for him and sees him like a child. Abhi knows that she lied on purpose but has mixed feelings about it. Still, he wonders why did she (Simi) want to meet with Nukul. He calls her and she does not tell him that they met, he asks her if she has met Nukul or plans on it. Simi lies to him and says she has not met Nukul yet. Abhi's suspicions are raised and he politely confronts Simi with the truth - Nukul told him they went out today. Simi is silent on the phone; she does not know how to get herself out of this mess.
Abhi questions her need to have deceived him and meet with Nukul. Did she need to go with him because it sounded like from Nukul she pushed this date. Simi said she was not alone and Neetu was with her but for Abhi, this is not enough. Abhi needs to know why she felt the need to go out with Nukul. Simi wants to tell Abhi that she needed to get Neetu out of seeing the doctor with her mother and this was the perfect excuse but in doing so, she would have to tell him Neetu was pregnant.
Simi is at a loss for words. Abhi gets upset and tells Simi, he is disappointed in her lack of commitment to their relationship. He does not know now where he stands but it seems like Simi wants the best of both worlds - a bachcha with a crush on her whom she can keep dangling and a suitor, her age with money. He tells her that he really can't compete with Nukul and understands her predicaments so he will let her go and she's free to marry him. He then hangs up on her.
Simi tries to call back but Abhi refuses to pick up the phone. He's had enough. He still wants to get the shop back for RS, but now he doesn't want anything from him. He just wants to help out RS because he is a good man in a bad situation.
I think until we see Simi do some hard work to win back Abhi, I will no longer have any likening of her character.
