What's this KB 1/2 - An Alternate Approach??..Seem to be missing quite a bit of fun! 😲
It's my version of KB . . . and on the thread by that name, I explain why it's 1/2 . . . you get my sense of humor so may enjoy it . . .

did you check out the thing draped on her shoulder????.. is that a matching shawl or what????????!!!!!!!

do u remember Jaya Bacchan in k3g?? she wore shawls on one shoulder with her saris........... maybe this was the 🤢 version of it. most serials have the vamp/bad bahu dress a certain way which even if it aint tasteful is definitely ostentatious, maybe this is the KB version of it and looks even more cheapo due to budget constraints........... we are after all in the midst of a recession

It's there . . . I just never got around to modifying the title with the 1/2 . . .

I'm at an impasse in terms of which direction the plot should move next . . .

do u remember Jaya Bacchan in k3g?? she wore shawls on one shoulder with her saris...........

what's k3g? remember I'm not a hindi movie buff . . . the last one I saw (the commercial kind) was Jodha-Akbar (?) and I cannot for the world remember which one preceded that! 😔 From the 'commercial arena' I've liked 'Khosla ka Ghosla' and 'One Wednesday' (even if Anupam Kher insisted on pronouncing it 'Wed - nes - day'. Was sure glad when Naseeruddin came back with Wensday 😊)

But we're veering off-topic again, so let me direct our attention back to KB . . . via a scenic route 😊

I think anita's outfit resembles the older dinlaw's (was she ever neurotic albeit second only to her own Jiji) in 'Saloni ka safar aur hamari viewers ki suffering' . . . no I did not watch that patent drivel voluntarily . . . my mater relished it for a while and the betiyaan one as well (or whatever it was called) & I'd sit sometimes to see if I could bear to suffer through it (I couldn't, especially since it was a serious shock to my system to see Rohini Hattangidi reduced to being a malevolent minlaw in betiyaan) . . . and they both finally got so bad even for my mother (who insisted that the stories were a faithful copy of real-life 😔) that she too dropped them!

Well . . . if they have to retrench, it might as well be with Anita's garb . . . couldn't bear to have the story line mucked up . . . so what's in store tomorrow? Will there be enough fodder to engender discussion (or at least something to keep my evil sense of humor honed?) 😊

omg my MIL wud watch that show all the time. the only time i cud get interested was when one of the characters was going around with a pillow tucked under her clothes, pretending to be preggers. At that time I wud religiously ask my MIL everyday if the pillow had fallen down 😆

Need to go back on the previous threads to look for the KB1/2 one.. !

Anita couldn't possible be copying Jaya Bachchan's dress sense from K3G (Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham) .. 😲she dressed up as a mother of two grown up men in that movie! ..😛 That was a very elegant attire..

could very well be! They just cut it down in size to fit Anita . . . & she must have a wig on her head! I cannot, even with my vivid imagination, come to terms with that being the handiwork of a real live hairdresser!

That's like me asking the mater about her latest fav 'Choti Bahu' - 'inki shaadi hui abhi tuk ki nahin?' that's about all I can stomach! The female villain sr. ('cause she's older than the Vishaka person) really abrades me (did from the day I saw her on Saloni) . . .

the hero was cute tho (i mean the husband and not the semi-finalist)

You mean the pater with the pate?!! Nakul's daadi would go absolutely gaga over the shine on that head! Even my dad remarked along the lines of 'what a rube! she talks too much' after hearing Daadi spew her nonsense about 'bald men being trustworthy' and 'unsmiling people being quite the opposite' . . . to their faces yet . . . seriously, under that sliver thin veneer of 'noblesse oblige', runs a vast river of insolence . . .

That was a very elegant attire..

I'm really scratching my head about when I have seen elegant clothing in 'Bollywood' cinema (certainly not on 'Fashion') . . . the Konkona Sen Sharma/Shabana Azmi one directed by Konkona's mum had some awesome garb (gosh, what was that movie called?!) . . . especially on Shabana . . . Konkona plays a schizophrenic (or was it an epileptic) . . . has on a gorgeous pink sari for her engagement . . .

You know Anita looks much improved in her pajamas . . .

Recycling is good.. but it can still be done tastefully! Afterall, Anita is shown from a richie rich background. Wonder if her stylist lost it just when she was doing her hair.. This is a good moment for Mili for a blast from past (there's an episode where Anita offers her stylist to Mili as she finds her dress sense weird!) ..

Elegant the Indian way.. I thought Jaya looked quite good in K3G.. Haven't seen the above movies .. but coming back to Anita.. yup, ok in her pajamas..but right now i just can't get over her bird nest hair !! .. 😛 😛 .. each time i see that on video i start cracking up ( even if the scene is serious!) .. someone needs to work it out SOON!!..

i think it was 15 park avenue, she played a schizophrenic in it. my fav aparna sen movie is mr. and mrs iyer
