Wow! What an episode today. I've been reading the threads posted on her. Frankly, it's a very realistic portrayal by her. Know girls (even amongst my own friends and relatives) who are like that. It's a selfish pursuit. Maybe it stems from an insecurity of some kind.

It's a smack on face kind of realistic as per me. Know a person exactly like her!

But honestly, these people don't find real happiness. That's because they are way too busy looking over what others are upto. Or trying to find reasons for an argument. In this case it's Abhi. Maybe since he's being given more attention in the Sethi house than her. I am sure Anita's got the gist that she's not really approved there. She thinks that it's below her "status" to work it out ! .. The bloody people as she calls.. So she'll argue, fight and create differences .. A realistic portray of how real life is..

Right now she's so overpowered by her jealousy than she forgets the pivotal point that Abhi's her own brother! As for Anuj - he'll have to make a stand. If he hasn't realized sooner enough that the tension in the house would only escalate and end only when he leaves with his wife in tow!

Another hat's off to the people who scripted this show. Very well done !! Although, I preferred the Abhi-Simi kinda romantic track!! 😳

That's what I dislike about Indian shows. All that rona-dhona. Life is already full of problems. Why have TV shows which only show more of it. Instead, Indian TV should evolve beyond the saas-bahu, evil character portrayal (the modern gal being the devil in disguise and the shudh bartiya bandi as doodh ki dhuli).

Kuch masti lao yaar.. kya rona dhona laga rakha hai!! 😡 .. Would love to see more of Neetu's jhalapan, Mili's lectures, Abhi and Simi's Mills and Boon kinda romance, and Rajender Sethi's humor! 😍 😳 😉

Why not show that in real life there are grey characters like Anita, Rajiv bhalla too. But life can still have it's moments of fun. [ My plea again to bring in some good fun element ]

I see no reason why it would be jealous of his brother the respect you acquire or even if she wants to have an important place in the family already Sethi it must respect his wife's family behaved like a well-bred girl (not respond with arrogance, s 'dress respectfully) Abhi able to be loved by it nature loving and helpful, it does not mean he has a more prominent place it, Anita is not only selfish but arrogant and spends his own desire before everyone else and Arnuj plays submitted marie (pitiful) passes in his slightest whim it will split the house and Arnuj will have serious problem with her father she could thank it for Anita after

Agreed! We all can question and argue as to why should she be jealous of her own brother. But the fact is, she is! Thing is Anita has probably got whatever she wanted till date- the husband of her choice, AC/washing machine etc and other materialistic stuffs from her Mom so that she could live at the Sethi house and no complaints from the Sethis. Manju has not pushed her to help her at home like she does to her daughters. She's been pushing Anuj to steal his father's FD. When that was lost, she lied and got Rajinder S to sign on a blank paper - which most likely Anuj will misuse to make a FD request.

Abhi is the first person seen in the show who has openly questioned her and told her that she is WRONG! Obviously, she would create an uproar over it because no one has ever DARED to tell her this before.

Anuj is doing this at the bequest of Anita. Idealistically, he should be taking to her on a honeymoon with his own money. He clearly knows his father's shop is closed and money is scarce. Why push them to the limit!!

No matter what leads Anita to do that, she should be grateful Simi without it, it will not Arnuj Ms. Sethi is the thankless Abhi helped when his father refused the marriage and even if we never dare tell him what this is doing badly she should try to understand, she did not do things like RS is great shop is to him what he wants with Arnuj was not dictated to him what to do with Arnuj Anita and looks at some point and shamelessly selfish, having lied to the RS to be signed on a blank page and want the money to go on a honeymoon is a lack of respect on the day that qu'Arnuj he discovers what do I want to see how it too will burst and how it will react

Would I characterize it as jealousy? I'm sure there is an element of that, but, just as much, it's the goings-on of a self-centered, manipulative, immature, and insecure woman (not that men could not display the same behavior). She's on her way to being top-dog . . . mistress of all she surveys . . . Who's the actress? Her portrayal is exemplary and her naturally arched eyebrows a real asset 😊 I'm beginning to hold her (as Anita) in utter contempt - richly deserved on her part of course . . . and yet . . . second only to my contempt for that pea-brained, gutless husband of hers (he's the one with all the recessive genes from his parents). Although, methinks that that poor sod stood nary a chance from the time he first met his Anita . . .
I resonate with Abhi and his musings about happier times . . . poor fellow . . . and yet . . . not unusual for unbreachable Grand Canyon scale rifts between siblings to crop up post-marriage . . . wonder how long before she creates abject misery and wretchedness for her brother . . . now's the time when I'd encourage Mili to spew as much 'venom' (aka the unvarnished truth) as she can muster . . . speaking of which . . . what's the current theory on her having amnesia about her sis's actual love interest? I'm trying to wrap my head around her speechless acceptance of Mr. No-Kool as a prospective brother 😕
Oh . . . you consider Abhi-Simi's romance Mills&Boonish?! Nah . . . unless Mills&Boons have progressed from the time I used to lap 'em up . . .

She is not jealous. She is just being herself. Cut above the rest. She used and then abused Abhi.
Wonder why she married a guy like Anuj? what did she see in him?

I am not sure what Anita has to be jealous about - it's not clear. I don't understand the reasons behind her change in character. It happened with no rhyme or reason. She's doing a good job protraying a mean person and I commend the actress; however, there is no rationale behind the overnight change. None whatsoever.
It's as though the creative team changed both siblings just for the heck of it and we as the audience are supposed to accept it. It's really insulting, and these people will continue to do it unless people accept more.
