Disappointed with Anita's character

I am really frustrated with the way Anita's character has been manipulated by the creatives. Why can't a modern woman be shown as someone who still has some values and respect? Why does she have to be shown as a snob? Anita did say she is independent but why does she have to be shown so negatively. I would really appreciate if a woman character is shown as independent, modern yet has values. I know there is Mili, but the focus is not on her and she is the youngest so its not like the siblings depend on her. Its only the crying, suffering, desperate, sacrificing women characters that are shown in positive light. Anita can be shown as independent and a positive character. I apologize if I came across as really angry, but the portrayal of women in soaps in such a way does bother me.
