Chapter 3

She barged into his office, finding him playing Xbox rather than working.

"You're playing?" she asked in a high pitched tone "You make me work like an ass the whole day and you still have the nerve to PLAY?"

"Hi Kriya, How are you?" he asked "You forgot your manners again"

He picked up another slice of pizza and ate it.

"Do hell with my manners!" She said viciously throwing her hands into different directions while talking. "I work my ass off the entire day and you're sitting here and playing?"

"One should knock" he said "and secondly, considering that you were never taught manners, I grant you forgiveness without an apology"

"Apology for what?" she asked placing her hands on her hips.

He turned to look at her then said "For stunt you tried yesterday on me"

She could not believe her ears, while she thought last night was a pure bliss, here, this man was asking her to apologize? Like seriously?

"Excuse me, WHAT?" her tone was loud,

"I could easily file an sexual harassment complaint on you, but i choose to forgive you this time" he stated "considering the fact, that I'm temptingly amazing and you can't resist me"

Her mouth was left open. "Are you by any chance trying to say that I raped you?" she asked

"Not raped, woman. Molestation charges" he stated

"Okay, right now I'm calling the board of directors and filing a complaint against you" she said "but only if you apologize I could.."

He suddenly stood up, and she almost shook as he towered above her.

"Listen, Miss Kriya Ghai, whatever happened last night, is not my fault" he said "Get this into your pea sized brain"

"Mr Singhania, Pea sized brain is found only in dinosaurs, and human brain is about 1.3 to 1.5 kgs! Get your biology correct and then speak" she spat out

He took a step "Pure Sarcasm woman, but you won't get it, dumbass you see. I don't know why I appointed you in the first place"

She did the same "Look Mr Singhania, I've worked for reputed companies all my life, and I've given you enough proofs to prove myself. If you still don't get it, then why don't you fire me?"

He took another step, "I should, but alas! You clever woman, you made me sign the twelve month contract so that I don't fire you once I get to see your real face"

She did the same "Excuse me Mr Singhania, you're crossing your limits, think before you speak!" she said "I won't bear a word against my professionalism. I've worked hard to please my bosses."

He smirked "This" he said "This is the poorest thing about you, you set up way too high expectations and standards for your own self, while I cannot see anything worth the money I pay you. learn to keep that big mouth of yours shut Verb, There are people better than you out there, who can handle this job better than you can." He took a pause "Why should I not fire you? What is it that you can do and none other can?"

He breathed in, Kriya looked down and for a moment he was satisfied with himself that he had embarrassed her. but then, she looked up, caught her collar and pulled him on herself. She was kissing him and for a moment he went numb.

It was then when he started kissing her back, she realized she was dissolving in his touch; her hand went to the back of his neck pulling a fistful of hair, while his went to her waist, pulling her closer.

she could feel him smiling, he bit her lip and licked her lower lip gently, coaxing her to open her mouth, but she being herself, did not pay any heed.

He pushed her against the wall, and kissed her some more, until she could hear her moaning out his name, his tongue entered her mouth, and studied every possible inch while she pulled his hair, causing him to go even more wild than he was, his hand travelled her figure, and reached up to hold her face, while she studied his muscular frame briefly.

He smiled at the way she was responding, and he finally let her go when she was panting.

"Now" she said "This is something no one else could do"

She straightened herself, and walked away, just as bold as she was

She stepped into his room, with a tank top and some shorts on, she saw him with a pair of really geeky spectacles resting on his nose as he typed some very intelligent words on his laptop.

"I'm here to.." she was about to complete when he interrupted,

"Good Evening Pronoun" he said "you forgot your manners again"

He didn't even spare a look towards her direction "You are seriously never going to call me Kriya, eh?" she was smiling.

"There are several forms of you, now what do they call it?" he said "Yes aapke alag alag prakaar hain devi"

She snorted a laugh "I've never really heard you speaking hindi"

"now" he said "you were here because..."

"Oh yeah, to apologise" she said

"Apologise for?" he asked with a smirk pasted on her face.

"The so called stunt i tried on you yesterday, it was a spur-of-the-moment-act and didn't really mean anything Mr Singhania" she rolled her eyes.

"Apology rejected" he said then looked up at her face which had a what did you just say' expression ready "Now Duckface, I gave you chance to apologise, you missed it."

"So, what can I do to save my very precious job?" she asked monotonously.

"Seduce me" he retorted

"WHAT?" she asked with eyes open wide.

"You heard that right, seduce me," he said "Do anything you wish, just simply seduce me"

He shrugged his shoulders.

"Now stop staring duckface," he said "and get out"

She stood in front of her mirror, with a black top that revealed a lot of her cleavage and ended much above her belly button, she buttoned her shorts which exposed her long creamy legs, the two silver earrings dangled in her ears, and her hair was left open, she put her mascara and the pink strawberry lip gloss she had, she put on some make up, but she was very well aware that just the getup won't work, if she tried like this, he was going to push her away and laugh at her like she was some maniac. She knew she needed some arrangements, and just knew what she had to do.

He twitched his nose, he could still smell it, a little fragrance, like that of rose petals, he didn't really know, he twitched his nose as if to make sure that it was the smell and not just his nose which was getting dysfunctional. But he could still smell it,

It was not much later when he heard a knock on his bedroom door, "get in" he said hoping for Kriya to hop in anytime.

But instead, got nothing in response, "Verb?" he asked

He got up concerned, wondering why she wasn't speaking, and it was then when he heard her hush "Reyaansh" and just knew what was wrong.

He opened the door and found nothing but some pink candles lighted around the hall with some petals on the floor, he smirked, she no doubt, took it way too seriously.

"If you're thinking this would work, then lemme tell you, it won't" he said

He felt a slight touch on his shoulder, he turned back as if to find her but realized that she had been fast. "Playing hide and seek Verb?" he asked

It was another touch that brought him back, he was quick to turn this time, and could easily catch a glimpse of her legs.

It was not later when he felt her nails moving up his muscled back, almost tiptoeing, he turned and it was then when he could look at her, she had a lot of eye make-up and a top which was maybe, way too revealing. Shorts which were very short, alot of her leg was revealed and it was just her essentials which were covered, he felt a need to tear those threads apart, almost a desire, but, he knew his limits and was sure to stay in them.

Her hands moved up his torso as she stood on her toes and kissed his cheek. Staying this close to her, he could smell her perfume, which was some expensive brand maybe, he did not know.

Her hands studied his torso, and went up his shoulder, and it was not later when he realized that she was making him dance, she had rested her head on his shoulder and she was moving, and the weird part was that he was moving too.

"Still not working verb" he smirked

It was then when he felt her head moving away from his shoulder and a trail of wet kisses moving up his neck, right down his jaw line, she almost bit him and all he could say was "Don't!"

She smiled and broke away the contact between her skin and his "You really don't know, how to dance, do you?"

"I do," he said as she again rested her head on his broad shoulder "I'm just not very good at it"

He held her waist gently as if to make sure that he was not hurting her in anyway possible.

"You know what Verb?" he hushed "Its still not working. I'm not dissolving in your charm"

"What if it's the last thing I can do?" she said "I don't really know how to seduce people"

He grinned. "How do you think I look?" she asked

And honestly, he thought, her clothes were much revealing and he did not like her this way, he liked her draped in a formal skirt with tender curls in her hair. He did not like this side of her; rather, it seemed irritating to see her like this.

His hand moved up her stomach, feeling her skin, he breathed out and knew that she could feel his hot breath.

"Kriya" he said and she was left astounded, she liked the way her name sounded when he pronounced it, "kree-ya" she replayed the word again and again in her head.

"I suggest you should put some clothes on, I mean, we're two adults living in the same house Kriya and I'm sure I do not want to commit any mistake that I might regret in future. And I'm sure you don't too" he said and she could feel his hands moving up her belly button, little by little as if teasing her.

"Are you sure Reyaansh? Because I can somehow feel your hand moving up my spine" she said

"Its just that i can't just resist your charm tonight" he hushed

"No one's asking you to," she said

"Are you sure Pronoun?" he asked "Are you sure that this is what we want?"

"I don't know Reyaansh" she said and knew he would tease her later but still said "but what I do know is, that you were right, all this while"

"Regarding what?" he asked

"I know that you are one big asshole, and that you exert no feeling towards me but hate, and I know you're gonna tease me regarding this, later" she said "But Reyaansh, you are one tempting irresistible man. And one of the most gorgeous men I've discovered so far"

He smiled, for a change, it was nice to hear such words coming from her mouth "Gee Verb, I did not know that you could be that softspoken" he said

"I did not know your shoulder could be this warm either" she said

"You like it there?" he asked

"Ofcourse I do!" she snapped and then there was an awkward silence

"Why are you like this?" she asked

"Why am I like what?" he retorted

"You still don't get it do you?" she asked "You fool!"

"And what is that I don't get?" he asked

"You know, if there would be any other man with a girl barely dressed, he won't be here." She said "You're so different Reyaansh, why? I can never figure you out!"

"I know my limits and I make sure not to cross them," he chuckled

"And who in the world asked you not to cross them?" she asked

He stifled a laugh.

"Yeah, i know right, You're not seduced" she said with a pout

"Please duckface!" he said "With all the honour that I have, i admit that Kriya Ghai, You've been successful in seducing me. and seriously, I've not wanted any woman so much before"

Her face flushed "So?" she said

"So?" he said

"Take the first move damn it!" she said angrily and he laughed

The moment he heard these words come out of her mouth, he pulled her closer as if he'd just heard a permission, then holding her face in his hands he kissed her. hard. As if demanding her, asking her to stop everything and just let him savour her.

He hungrily lingered his lips on her skin, biting the crook of her neck relentlessly, he tore down the strip, which came in the way, he moved down placing some wet kisses and hungry hickeys. Her hand worked on his shirt, unbuttoning it as fast as she could, he threw her shirt away, moving down her skin and savouring her.

She could feel the pulse, the need, the desire of wanting a guy so much, his hands moved back, unpinning her essential, as he stumbled on the bed with her in his arms, tight. She giggled as he nibbled on her skin, and with that the night went with moans and pleasures filling the void of the dark room.

The moment she woke up, she found his arm around her waist, holding her possessively and pulling her close. little bits of tears filled her dark eyes, and soon they were flowing out on her smooth skin, falling like the raindrops, slowly then all at once.

And she was crying, she had to hold her stomach to silent her sobs, she cried because she had a great time yesterday, she cried because she had started enjoying his presence, she cried because she knew he was the one for her, and she cried because she knew she couldn't have him. Even if that's the last thing she wanted.

She slowly and steadily got up from his bed, though it was tough pushing his strong arm away. She woke up to find his broad and muscular frame lying relentlessly on the bed, eyes closed with so much serenity and warmness, he wasn't in his usual I-dont-give-a-damn attitude, but rather his face displayed affection.

She squinted her eyes shut, she could not bear this sight of his, warm and lonely. She draped the sheet around her curves and moved out of the room.

He woke finding no sign of her next to him, she was gone, just gone. Last night had been so miraculous for him, he felt like he knew her better, like she was the one he had been waiting for, like she was something which could heal the bruises within him.

But she was not there presently, and she was just gone, simple plain gone.

She owed him an explanation, he thought. Then his mind diverted after seeing the little paper tucked in his bedpost. He smiled.

Only to find : "Good Morning Reyaansh, Reach office asap, We need to talk." Then in little letters there was a post script which said "Ps- Breakfast waits for you at table"
