Part 10!!
The Nanda mansion was in for a surprise since ranbir had entered the house with his entire luggage. The first thing ranbir did was to meet his mother, who spat out all the tea she just drank. "Ranbir? Tum yahaa?? Bina invitation ke?, tum?? Ghar waapis?"gasped mailika. "kyun? Mein waapis nahi aa sakta?" said ranbir playing it cheekily with his mother, "nahi! Beta, ur welcome this is ur house, ur any day welcome, we all have missed u… kanya did all this" asked malika suddenly realizing tht the only person who can convice ranbir is only kanya. "Yes. She indirectly led me to come here, im not scared of him. I will face him, I knew it, tht I had to eventually".
So that night ranbir had moved into his house, his room, in his secret room tht no1 but he, and now kanya, knew. He was more than happy that it was kanya who moitivated him to face his father, but he did not know it would happen so soon. It was after dinner that kaka came running to inform that Rajiv nanda has arrived at the mansion. Malika's happiness knew no boundaries, her son and husband were back in the same house like it was 7 yrs, but she dreaded the fact that, they would be back with their cold attitudes. She dint know how it all fell apart, it just happened in front of her eyes, and before she could do anything to save her family, it all broke. She thanked godfor the miracle in the form of Kanya, who gave her 1 more chance to save her family.
Ranbir stood up like the rest of the family, but did not greet his father home, instead they both shared a look, tht sumhow emmited the fact tht they missed each other. Ranbir curtly nodded at his father, who in returned just kept looking at his son. Ranbir retired to his bed, wondering how he was to face his father in the morning to come.
Meanwhile kanya spoke to her mother, "Ma. I want to say sorry" said kanya "for what, kanya?" asked pammi. "I will explain later, but now I want u to give me blessings, im going to do something I never thought I'd ever do. No! don't worry, its not doing anything bad!"replied kanya for pammi got worried wht kanya was going to do. After that kanya left for the place she intended to be in. she was almost there when she wanted to hear someone else's voice, she picked her fone and dialed
'ring!' went ranbir's fone, "Kaun he beh?"said a groggy ranbir in the fone, "eh…. Sorry to disturb u, its late, bye" said the other voice at the other end. "No, wait kanya! Im awake. Wht happened? Why are u calling so late?" asked ranbir getting worried for her, "im...mein…woh mein…mein woh .." stammered kanya "tum bakri ke tarah mei-mei kyun kari ho?"teased ranbir, awake ready to meet her. "where are u? do u want me to pick u up?" asked ranbir "no! I wanted to meet u, no! hear u before I .… bye ranbir"said kanya and she hung her fone. Ranbir was left a bit startled by the call, women! Who can understand them, thinks ranbir when roy called, he sounded tensed.
"Ranbir, do u knw where kanya is?" now completely worried, he replied "she just called me, we dint talk properly, y wht happened?" "she left home, there is a letter, she is not answering our calls, I don't knw where she is!, pammi is completely distressed" replied roy, "Kab, kaha?, kyun??" asked ranbir, he was leaving the house when he bumped into his father
"Ranbir, itne dair raat ko??" asked a concerned rajiv, "papa, I will talk to u later" said ranbir and left for kanya's house. Meanwhile malika came down to find rajiv staring at the main door, "aap yaha kya kare hain, sone aaye" she orders, "mailika, ranbir ne mujhe papa bulayya, woh mujse nafrat nahi karta!" repled an ecstatic rajiv. Malika smiles and says "yeh sab kanya ke wajah se hai. She managed to get ranbir back in this house, Rajiv our son is in love!" exclaims malika. Both of them are very happy when ayaan comes down, he has got a call frm shruti who informed him abt kanya's flght. He gets down ready to leave when rajiv stops him, "ayaan, tum kaha jaare ho?", "chachu, I have to go, chachi, kanya bahagayee hai, pata nahi kaha hai woh, bhayaa use dhoond ne gaye hai" and he leaves. Rajiv then says "Malika yeh kanya kaha rehti hai?" a worried malika looks at her husband, "kyun?" she asks. "I don't knw this kanya, but if my son loves her, she has to be someone special. And this might be the only time I can try helping my son" he replies. Malika gives him the address "try finding her, not only does ranbir love her, but she also is the daughter I never had" pleads malika. Rajiv assures her and leaves.
In kanya's house, shruti is trying to console pammi and roy has informed the police, ranbir and ayaan are searching for kanya, they go to all the places she normally visits. They both return without a trace, they all are very worried, its 4 in the morning, and there is no sign of kanya. That's when rajiv comes, "Papa?" asks ranbir, not caring abt his anger with him. He heard kanya last , he just wants her right now!, where is she?,why has she gone?, I wish I just told her that I love her, thinks ranbir, maybe she would have not gone.
"I want to help u find her, I don't know this girl but im ur father, and I knw u love her, and I will do all it takes to find her for u" says rajiv. Ranbir goes to his father and hugs him tightly and cries(not like wahahaha! ? but u knw man-crying), he doesn't care wht ppl said, he wants his kanya, "im sorry dad, I never meant to say those things to u"says ranbir, "u had every rite to ranbir, u knw y I never came for u, because u never needed my help, I knew u could do everything on ur own, ur grandfather's projects have flourished in such less time, I was jealous of u, u had achieved something I knew I could never do, the orphanage was my father's dream, and u made it come true. Im sorry son, please forgive me! I was selfish" said rajiv, close to an emotional break-down.
"Ur rong papa, I always needed u, but I need u now, more than ever!" said ranbir, bringing himself together, "lets find my daughter-in-law!," said rajiv, that's when pammi interrupts them, "orphanage…orphanage…orphan…" she says as if she is remembering something "yes, pammi wht abt orphanages?" asked roy, "Roy!" screams pammi, "yes, pammi". "kanya's dadi!, she is an old-age home, normally kanya goes to meet her!, she can be there, its in Goa." "Then lets not waste a minute, lets leave" says rajiv and they leave for Goa.
Its 7 in the morning, and everyone with high hopes reach the old-age home, pammi runs to the receptionist, "Mrs. Godbole?" the receptionist replies, "oh she is outside with princess, she came late yesterday night, I guess u can meet her on the beach" they leave for the beach when shruti blurts out "Princess?, and thts her nickname, oh! Kanya godbole!, u teased me being shorty shruti!, u wait now!"but ranbir didn't care, he wanted to see kanya, and hold her and never let go of her, but he planned one thing come what may, he will propose her today. That's when he saw her.
She was bent down collecting shells, with her hair left open, wet, and a bit curly, wearing a long skirt, and a decent shirt, with the sun rays hitting her she glowed like she was a goddess. Ranbir was spellbound; kanya looked like a gold statue where no one could touch her. She was surprised when she saw the entire clad. When hers and ranbir's eyes met, it confirmed their love for each other. At that minute they both knew that they were in love with each other and that they had a future together where there will be ranbir, kanya and their children.
But first, kanya would have to bear the wrath of her family.
