btw this 1 is a very sad 1!
but since i will be leaving for vaccations im trying to wrap it up! so here u go!!
Part 9:
With his arms wrapped around kanya, ranbir never wanted to let go of her, it felt he knew kanya enough to spend the rest of his life with her in happiness, but he did not knw how Kanya felt abt him. He decided to let go of her, sensing ranbir, kanya moved, and apologized. They both got in the car and were heading back to Mumbai, they both realized tht they were starving, so they went in a street side dhabba, and ate the Indian style. Kanya enjoyed every minute teasing ranbir of not knwing how to eat with his fingers, he was not accustomed to eating such spicy food which meant that he kept gulping down water after every bite.
While reaching Mumbai kanya decided to find out how can she help ranbir, she lost her father, and ranbir had his father but he did not want to talk to him. "Ranbir can I ask u sumthing?" said kanya
"yes, of course"
"why don't u like talking about ur father?" asked kanya, suddenly ranbir forced the car to stop tht led to a violent jerk. "y do u ask?" snapped ranbir, "nothing, its just tht ur mother said its been 7 yrs…" kanya was interrupted by ranbir, "who are u to butt in my personal problems" said ranbir with his voice slightly turning harsh.
He can never forget that night, he had asked his parents to come for the inauguration of the orphanage tht he launched his mother made it but his father had some reason as usual. Ranbir was upset tht even on this day his father gives prior importance to his bizness. Feeling dejected he returned home, to find his father home, his father did not wish him, but asked him abt the progress on projects tht his grand father had left under ranbir's control. This was normal in ranbir's case, his father had always behaved formal with him, as if he were a stranger.
Accusingly ranbir had asked him why had he not come to witness his first big step in the society to receive a bitter answer. "u used all the support u got because ur a Nanda, it's the sir name tht u boosted, not u, plus the orphanage is of no value to the business. It's a waste of money and time"said his father. Ranbir had gotten very angry and lost temper, he remembered every memory where his father made him upset or angry or when he was not there for his son, when ranbir needed him the most and told his father tht he also lived under grand- father's money, and not on his own. He also reminded his father tht the orphanage will never be a loss, because only people with a heart would understand "Ur just heartless, u don't come to visit ur own son on his graduation day, how can I even expect u on this day. Im glad u did not come, because my first big-step in this world would be with a loser. Ur a loser, father, and u knw it" said ranbir and recived a slap from his father. This was a lot for ranbir to handle, no one had ever raised their hands on him and he found himself saying, "forget u had a son, rajiv nanda" and he left for London forever.
"Ranbir?" said kanya, she was wondering where he was lost.
"what?" asked ranbir rudely, kanya a bit scared now replied "do u want to share ur feelings with me? Sad ones, happy ones?". "No, thanx! If u think u can help my relation with my father, then tht is very stupid coming from u, who should be great full to have roy as a father" said ranbir "Roy will never be called my father, u arrogant bas…" shouted kanya. "get out of my car" shouted ranbir "how dare u sit there telling me abt my life, ur life is more messed than my, try fixing urz, GET OUT!". Kanya realized tht ranbir was true, her life was messed up, but the fact tht she upset him made her cry. Ranbir noticed her cry, but he didn't care, she should be thankful to have roy, I would have done anything to have roy as a father, thinks ranbir. Kanya knew there was no point to argue, got out of the car with tears streaming down her face, and walked till she reached home. She went directly to roy who was busy with his work. He noticed her, and looked up and waited for her to say something, kanya kept trying to say something, but she couldn't frame her words. She just gave him a weak smile and went to her room and cried herself to sleep. She just upset the man she was in love with. He made her remember her past at the same time gave her a glimpse of her future with him. She wanted ranbir, but how can she knw tht ranbir felt exactly the same way for her.
Meanwhile ranbir, stared at the figure of kanya getting lost in the crowd of Mumbai streets. He regretted saying those words and he prays tht kanya realized he never meant 1 word of tht. She had every rite to interfere in his life, but it was whenever he thought abt his father, he lost his temper but it was true, it was her life tht needed to be sorted out. But he hated himself at the minute and maybe for the rest of his life, he did exactly wht he never intended to do. He made kanya cry. He decided to atleast call her and apologize, he dialed her number, to find her fone ringing in his car. She had left her bag here, ranbir got very worried it was 8 in the nite and there was no clue of where she could be, he decides to chk the route till her home, thts exactly when roy's fone came.
"hello is this ranbir?" asked roy, "yes" replied ranbir. "wht did u tell kanya, y is she crying?" demanded roy "nothing, I told her the truth, tht she should sort her life out, u knw y she is like tht, spk to her" suggested ranbir. Roy realized The ranbir nanda was in love with kanya, "has she reached home?" asked ranbir, roy could sense tht he was worried and the tone sounded a bit regretful. "yes, take care of urself."
Ranbir reached the hotel, but could not sleep, he wondered what kanya was trying to do by asking him abt his father, but when he is really confused he finds himself dialing a number, like he did rite now
"hello…hello" said the voice at the other end
No reply, ranbir hung the fone.
Rajiv replaced his fone and knew tht it was his son, he knew tht like him, ranbir was very egoistic and stubborn. He checked the source of the number, it was frm india. Rajiv decided it was time to sort out problems with his son.
Ranbir, on the other hand, did not knw y he called his father, but knew tht it will help come to terms with life 1 day. Now, he had other matters in head. Kanya. He decided he'd meet her tomorrow, but kanya did not come to office tht day, neither the next. His restlessness to meet her was growing, and he left for her house.
Both pammi and roy had left for office, kanya was in the room, when her door bell rang, she wondered who it was at 9 am in the morning. She was in no position to meet any1, she refused to come down for 2 days, rejecting meals and crying, she had never been more depressed, she remembered her father and her loss, she remembered ranbir, and she wanted both of them. She had taken consumed half a bottle of anti-depressents already. Slowly she went and opened the door, to face Ranbir.
Ranbir noticed kanya, she looked as miserable as he felt. "can I come in?" he asks, kanya nodded, " listen im sorry!, I should not have lost my temper that nite, u have no idea how I regret it. I once lost my temper which resulted in brking my relation with my father" said ranbir, and he tells kanya all about his problems with his father. Ranbir felt tht kanya was a good listener, she did not interrupt him once and neither did she look bored. After he finished she said "u knw, u can always say sorry. No! listen" because ranbir opened his mouth to argue, "u have not seen malika maam, I have, I have seen her cry. After u left, ur father also left. Its not that ur father doesn't love u, he also stopped living in the Nanda Mansion after u left, maam just cries because, she is not with her husband nor with her son, ur fite has caused ur mother so much of truble. And u knw tht u also miss him, sumwhere!" realizing wht kanya said, ranbir tried to sink in the truth, he had to accept, he did love his father, and he should not have said those things to his father, but wht he felt abt the orphanage was rong, but he felt tht wht his father said to him tht day was not true, he was sure rajiv did not find the orphanage of money to the Nandas. There was some other reason to tht.
"y aren't u coming to the Hotel?" asked ranbir, "because I was scared to face u" said kanya. "kanya, u should never be scared to spk to me" said ranbir reassuringly, "im not ready ranbir, I don't want to discuss abt roy or dad now" said kanya. "I will wait" said ranbir and left to shift back in his home, if his father comes, he will face him and spk to him.
Kanya was left alone in the hallway, more confused than ever with ranbir's behavior.
