Part 8!
It was maybe after 10 minutes, tht kanya realized she had been crying, she straightened up and started drying her tears away and started apologizing, "Im so sorry ranbir sir, I think I got carried away, theres just a lot going on my life" said kanya. "hey, u don't have to keep saying sorry, its good to cry, u have to let the boo-hoos all out, but wht is not good is tht u wet my branded shirt" said ranbir while examining his shirt, kanya just sighed "by the way, 1 question how did u find my secret room?" asked ranbir. "ur secret room?, well I was just chkn ur room, ayaan kept talking abt u, n I found it, I found it pretty pleasant, initially when ayaan and shruti were dating, I felt very left out, so I used to come here, it's a good place to get ur peace of mind, y r u here?" said ranbir, "exuse me! Chipkali, ur forgetting this is my house, I should ask u the same question!", "which u apparently did!" replied kanya. "No, I asked u how u found my room, not y ur here!" corrected ranbir, "fine! I will leave" snapped kanya." Ur such a chipkali!" chuckled ranbir "wht do u mean?" asked kanya
"U knw, ur like a chipkali, crawling from here to there, found sum1 hu annoyed u somewhere, so u left for some other room, u keep crawling away…" said ranbir who got cut by a slightly annoyed kanya "Oye! Mr. London return!, I wonder how u entered here???, with tht saand type of body urs, u definitely entered on all fours!", Ranbir started laffing, and hugged kanya, she was becoming her normal self with her annoyed look, which ranbir luvd. Kanya was shocked tht Ranbir hugged her, but dint try to move, she liked this feeling. They stood like this with ranbir still chuckling when they were interrupted by shruti, both of them straightedned while kanya nervously started tucking her hair behind her ears. They both got out from the secret room, and entered ranbir's main room where shruti was looking at them suspiciously.
"Its time to go, malika chachi said tht u can drop me, so if its not a problem" said shruti to ranbir, still looking suspicious. "No, not a prob im anyway dropping chipk…ow!", shouted ranbir since kanya just gave him a slight kick. They were leaving when pallavi returned and wished ranbir and shruti but cold-shouldered kanya. "oh! Ranbir, im meeting u after all these days after tht day, ur papa will be back next week, u must meet him then! And sort out ur problems with him" said pallavi, enquiringly ranbir turned to his mother"beta, its been 7 years, thts a long time…" kanya noticing this, dint say anything but she did hear frm ayaan tht ranbir had a falling out with his dad(rajiv…new chrecter I made). The three left silently after shruti wished ayaan(whispering abt her suspicions over kanya and ranbir, with both of them feeling happy for kanya) , the entire journey to shruti's home was eerily silent, after shruti left kanya and ranbir were sitting in the front seats when ranbir said " I want to drop u home tomorrow. If thts okay?", "huh? Yeah sure!" replied an astounded kanya. They reached kanya's home, where ranbir walked her out till her house porch.
Kanya went home, it was late and pammi was bz working, so she went silently to her room, and recalled her entire day. She rred her entire remembered her meeting with ranbir for the first time, when she fought with him, when she went to say sorry, the dinner in the restaurant, their dance, the way she woke up to find ranbir asleep, the staff meeting, when Cynthia abused him and him overhearing all, when she cried on his shoulders, how he asked her for a date, she kept tossing and turning fighting the thought tht maybe she was in love with him, she kept thinking, how can I? he is my boss and we met for just 2 days!, but those stupid feelings tht u get when ur around him!, ur definitely in luv with him!, urgh! I hate this!, she finaly fell asleep.
Next day, work was usual, she met ranbir couple of time. It was their lunch brk where she usually ate with Cynthia in her cabin. Suddenly ranbir entered the room, both of them stood shocked. Ranbir just kept standing and he tried to say sumthing, but could not say anything and just left, "what on earth did u do to Poor Mr. Ranbir?" asked Cynthia. "I have no idea"said a shocked kanya. After lunch kanya kept working on Ira's wedding, when ranbir disturbed her and said" u said u would let me drop u home and ur work time is over." "yaa! Gimme a minute, let me pack up theses pprs" said kanya, ranbir walked her out of the hotel and then surprised kanya "we will be walking to ur home"said ranbir, " u gotta be kiddin me!" said kanya! " oh no!, we will go walking and halfway through a bus! Chalta hai naa?" asked ranbir, "as long as ur okay!" said kanya.
And they left, they were walking on marine drive, while eating gol gappas(pani puris) and baraf ka golas, ranbir was hesitant to eat them, but tried them because kanya was forcing him, and he could never say no 2 her. They spoke abt their best books, their likes and dislikes (where ranbir said chipkalis and received a light punch frm kanya), when kanya said, "U knw ranbir, papa used to bring me here after skool, n I would run so fast like a bird(imitating how she used to do it), now I don't do it, I just don't have the time. But thnx for bringing me here." They kept talking and walking (ranbir liked her talking, but was praying tht she would shut up now, but nonetheless loved her talking), and they reached her home before leaving ranbir told kanya, "I have to go to Khandala tomorrow". "Oh. Well thts nice" said kanya but cudnt hide her disappointment, slightly happy tht kanya was disappointed with his leave to Khandala, ranbir said "I wonder if it'd be alrite if u'd come with me tomorrow, im new here, don't knw how to go there by my own, so…aati kya khandala?" he said grinning, "haha, sure!" replied kanya, and went home to meet her mother where she told abt ranbir, and she'd have to go with him. Pammi couldn't stop smiling, she finally felt tht kanya met sum1. The next day ranbir piked up kanya and they left for khandala, which was fun, since after the rain, there was a little cold and mist, which gave an aura of romance. Midway, ranbir told kanya to drive, "you want to live?" asked kanya," of course. Why?" replied ranbir, kanya simply said,"if I drive, neither will u, or this car or me survive! while taking the driving lessons, I manage to give my instructor a heart attack, since then I never drive!". Ranbir just laughed and said "I trust u! plus, im there naa", so after a lot of persuasion kanya agreed to drive at the speed of a turtle, which led ranbir to sit back on the wheels, "if u ever get married, ur husband should be a chauffer! Well im 1 for u!,lets get married!" teased ranbir, kanya blushed furiously and turned away, leaving ranbir happy.
They went to the hotel tht Nanda's Hotels managed, and met every1 there it was arnd 5 pm and it was time to go back home,they were on their way back and they had to go down a really steep hill, but before tht ranbir said "kanya, get down and stand on tht foothpath, when I will give u a call, I want u 2 run down the hill, don't worry! Trust me", kanya agreed and got out and kept wondering wht is rong with him!,wht is rong with me!, wht if he left me, kanya waited for 5 minutes(each second was like an hour) and she believed tht ranbir left her,when her fone rang, it was ranbir "sorry!, pretty long road!, now tuck in ur fone and stretch ur hands sidewards and run down, don't question and do as I tell!" he hung up the fone, and kanya kept her fone and stretched her arms and ran down.
She could feel the wind hit her body, but she felt as light like a bird, she enjoyed every minute with every step. She could see ranbir, and ran faster, she wanted to go and wrap her arms arnd him rite now!, but she came back to her senses, Ur boss kanya! Ur boss! Ur not in love with him! Thought kanya. She was getting closer to him, and tried to go slow,but she was already running so fast tht by the time she could stop, she had crashed into ranbir's waiting arms, and without thnking, she ended up hugging him very tightly, she was breathing very heavily, but felt safe with ranbir, but she kept saying in her mind, ur not in love with him, ur not in love with him, ur not in love with him, ur not in….
"So kanya, do u knw u just flew?" said ranbir
Kanya looked up at him and then suddenly said to herself, dam rite kanya, ur in love with him.
She rested her head on ranbir' s shoulder and held on him as if her life depended on it.
