it was almost morning, and the the faint brightness from the twilight was hitting the car where kanya and ranbir slept in. Kanya woke up and the first thing she saw was ranbir, with his mouth slightly open but asleep. Smiling, she sat up and very gently shut his mouth, then touched his lips with her fingers. She remembered yesterday night, when she hugged him and slept on his shoulder, she wanted to be like tht for ever, rite now she wanted to get on his side and rest her head on his shoulders and remain like tht forever and ever. Suddenly, rabir stirred,and turned his face towards kanya, and slowly opened his eyes, and then he sees kanya, he gives her a dreamy smile, and then turns his head on the other side and goes back to sleep.
Kanya giggles and says softly, "Buddhu". she chks her watch for the time its 5 am , she gasps loudly causing ranbir to wake up. with her gasping, and him yeping(he was finally in a nice sleep thnx to watching kanya sleep, which was interupted), causing him to get up and bang the car window on his side. both kanya and ranbir stared at each other and they both burst out laffing,once they stoped,kanya again got woried, she had been out the entire nite. Ranbir realizing tht she is worried, assures her "Dont worry, i will talk to ur parents if they ask, lets go, tell me where u live", kanya said "Its in bandr.." "oye! chipkali ki bachi" cuts ranbir."maa pe mat jaa saand kahike!" said kanya, "sorry!, sit in the frunt!, mein tumhara chauffer nahi hoon, im ranbir nanda! who is doing u a favour!" said ranbir.
Kanya thinks kya samjhta hai apne aap ko dikati hoon is soouar ko!, and she sits in the frunt. Ranbir smirking, drives towards bandra, in the meantime kanya is changing radio stations continuoulsy, which is annoying ranbir, he slaps her hand away every time she puts her hand foward to chnge the channel, but this doesnt stop her, so after alot of time when he loses his patience, ranbir grabs kanya's hand and keeps holding it and drives rashly. kanya is shit scared... "Ranbir drive properly, im too yung to die!, have mercy, u have no idea half of the world's death population is cus of rash driving" said kanya,ranbir feeling happy tht he is holding kanya's hand, wonders is she really after her life or cares also cares abt his? paagal hai kya tu, kanya tere baare mein kyoon kuch sochegi, thinks ranbir, ranbir u lost it! stop acting mad!!
Kanya wonders wht is ranbir doing! he can hurt himself!, kaise kahoon wht rite do i have im just a part of his staff, kanya! get a grip he is ur boss, u cannot think of him tht way, he is out of ur reach!, by tht time ranbir reaches her house, ranbir gets out, with her and she enters her house. They both face roy, roy looked like he was awake the entire nite, and kanya suddenly remembered her dad waitng for her like this after she got angry with her frndz and left their slumber party at 4 in the morning. Roy had a look of major questioning with Ranbir and disappointment with a mix of rage and worry but he still spoke calmly,"Kanya, bother to explain me the reason for ur selfish act.", kanya zapped out of her thoughts and said very rudely " if i answer its only to mom" and she walks up the stairs to her room after thanking ranbir. Ranbir, who just saw how kanya treated her father(he doesnt knw anything abt kanya's past) is very shocked but doesnt talk abt this instad "Mr. Godbole, ur daughter was with me the nite, do not worry she is safe, she was tired yesterday and she went of to sleep at dinner, and i dint knw where her house was, im sorry, it was my mistake not to inform u, rest assured this mistake will never be repeated." said ranbir. Roy replied kindly but hurt with kanya's behaviour "thnku, wht is ur name?", "Ranbir Nanda" said ranbir,"The Ranbir nanda?" said an astonished Roy, Ranbir just smiled and nodded.
Roy not caring hu he was talking to said"Y did kanya return home crying yesterday, if u told her anything i will make u wish u never said tht to her", ranbir just replied" Whow! sir, chill, i dint do or say anything to ur daughter, i wish u could understand, tht not all rich men r heartless. Gooday sir." said ranbir leaving a happy roy, sum1 just called kanya his daughter. Ranbir, still wondering y kanya behaved with her father like tht, he decided to spk to ayaan. he reaches the hotel rests and then gets ready for the staff meeting, where he will finally will meet his mother, ayaan and other heads including kanya.
Kanya reaches the hotel after getting saved by roy from pammi who went beserk abt kanya's behaviour, she wanted to thnk him, but she knew tht she will not be able to do it, she respects him alot, but she can never accept him as her father. Kanya went for the staff meeting, no1 was there except for Kunal, he was a frnd in high skool, they both meet and he hugs her. Meanwhile ranbir is talking to mallika and ayaan abt his experiences in london en route to the meeting, he notices an old woman who dropped her keys. The new man in him rose and he went and pikd the key for the women and gave it to her while she thanked him, "no probz, have a nice stay in Nanda Hotel". he returns to Malika and Ayaan, who are glued to the ground malika says "Ayaan, yeh humara ranbir hain naa?" ranbir smirks while ayaan still staring at ranbir "Pata nahi, humara ranbir toh yeh kabhi bhi nahi karta. Ur changed" "Yaa well india does it to u, u have no idea simplicity in the indian culture, very amazing stuff" said ranbir, remembering kanya telling him abt the indian culture of bathing. Malika at once knew tht ranbir was in luv but dint say anything to ranbir until she finds out who. they reach the meeting room, where kanya and kunal are still in a hug, and kanya is talking sumthing really fast but very excitedly. Suddenly, a monster had grown inside him, he wanted to kick this guy whom she was hugging! a little sad tht kanya had a boifrnd he sat pissed off without letting his mother sit first. malika noticed ranbir's face when he saw kanya with this man and felt tht it was Kanya. she goes and sits beside ranbir and says quitely,"if the person u luv,luvs sum1else, let her go. If she cums bak she is urs if she doesnt, she was never meant to be". Ranbir just thought abt his mother's words of wisdom and knew tht kanya may have never liked him, but y shud he care he didnot love kanya.
From sumwhere far, Ayaan's voice could be heard, "Kunal! where the hell have u been?", before kunal could say anything, kanya turned arnd, and ranbir cudnt help notice how happy she looked, and her she was smiling so radiantly!. Kanya turns around and scremas," ayaan!, Kunal is getting married to Geet!, remember her?". Ranbir did not listen to the rest of the conversation, Malika noticed her son and smiled to herself. Ranbir felt sumthing heavy was lifted, he felt like hugging kanya and join whtever she was soo happy abt. thts exactly when it hit him.
He was in love with Kanya.
