Unexpected events
Sumaina
Next morning Ananya didn't feel like getting out of bed and kept lazing around. The whole night she had dream't about Veer and still couldn't get him out of her thoughts. Last night the way he had taken care of her and had spent time with her was just commendable and it had been the best time of her life. She remembered all the kavitas he had recited and the last one was the most memorable one...

She had loved it so much that she had memorised it in her heart and kept on humming it. She remembered how Veer had been so understanding and caring throughout the whole night. He had even taken hardship to bring her food which she hadn't even told him to do so. He had read her heart and mind which just increased the list of his qualities. She remembered her talk with him before she departed from him...
FLASHBACK
Veer: Dekhye Ananya aapko sharminda hone kee koi zaroorat nahi
Ananya: Nahi Rajkumar Veer, ma ko wo sab nahi kehna chaheeye tha. kabhi kabhi wo aisee baate kar beithee hai ke onhe bhi pata nahi chalta
Veer: Me samajh sakta hu onkee haalat. Agar meree bhi itnee saaree khubsurat beiteeya hoti to me bhi onke liye aise hee chintit rehta.
She stared at him with awe that he was so understanding. He looked at her family like his own and that just made him even perfect. As they got near the carriage he took her hand.
Veer: Bohat jald me aapko sandesh bhejunga waapis Aryanagar aane ke liye. Ek khaas kaam ke liye.
Ananya: Khaas kaam (she is confused)
Veer: (smiles) ha khaas kaam. Aap jab aaengee tab pata chaljaehga
Then he helped her into the carriage and both of them said another hurtful goodbye and soon both faded away into the distance.
END OF FLASHBACK
She sat up suddenly with a bad feeling. Somehow she felt this distance between her and Veer was going to be prolonged. She got off the bed and went and stood by the window. Silent tears fell from her eyes as she remembered Veer.
Meanwhile Sia is also quite disturbed in her room as last night's embarrassing events keep running in her mind. Not only had Dharam insulted her by showing he was doing her a favour by asking her to go around with him in the mela, but her mother and younger sisters had been worse. She felt bad for Ananya as now Veer would think she was desperate when that was not the case.
Just then she heard Nivriti coming inside with Harsh.
Nivi: aaye, hame pura yakeen hai ke jawab ha hee hoga
Both of them sauntered in and Sia got up and wanted to leave because she knew what they had come for. She couldn't let this happen.
Nivi: Sia, dekho Rajkumar Harsh tumse kuch baat karne aaye hai
Sia: Acha? (forces a smile) Bataye Rajkumar Harsh
Nivi: Ab hum chalte hai
Sia: are ma, aap kyu jaarahee hai, hame yakeen hai ke inhe jo bhi kehna hai wo sabke saamne kehsakte hai to kyu na hum bahaar hee jaake baat kare.
Attempts to leave but Nivriti prevents it
Nivi: Sia tum yahi ruko or Rajkumar Harsh kee baat suno. Yeh hamara aadesh hai.
Then she smiles at Harsh and leaves the room. Then Sia looks at Harsh who has that clown smile pasted on his face again and then she goes about the room pretending to clean it so she can avoid him , He followed her.
Harsh: Aapko pata hai Sia ke aapme sabse acchi baat kya hai? Aapki sacchai or aapka pyaara sa saubhav. aap to hai hee aisee jiskee wajese jabse hamne Sumaina me pao rakha tha tabse humne aapko aapki saaree behno me se alag chunliya tha hamaree jeevan saathi banne ke liye
She stares at him with surprise
Harsh: isse pehle ke hum apni bhavnao ko aapke saamne paish kare, hum aapko batadena chahte hai hamare shaadi ke kaaran...
Sia: Rajkumar Harsh aap...
Harsh: aah... (raises his hand to shun her. She is annoyed and sits down on the chair) ab hamare kaaran - pehle yeh hai ke hame lagta hai ke saare nojawan rajkumaro ko misaal denee chaheeye shaadi karke. Ise hamara maan or barega. Dusra kaaran yeh ke isse hamaree zindagi me khushiya bharjaaehgee. Or teesra...shayad hame yeh pehle batadena chaheeye tha...hamare guru Maharaj Dayavardhan kee yeh sabse bari iccha hai ke hamaree shaadi hojaeh.
Sia gave him a disapproving look.
Harsh: Onhone kaha tha ke Harsh ab aapko shaadi karlenee chaheeye. sahi tarhase chunna or yaad rakhna ke wo aisee honee chaheeye jo waqt aane per kaam aasakhe or jiska dimaag aapse uncha bilkul bhi na ho.
She can't believe it and becomes even more disappointed.
Harsh: onhone yeh bhi kaha tha ke jalse jald ose dhoondo or phir ose yaha Avdhi laana jaha pe wo khud aake ose milenge or dekhenge ke yeh sahi hai ke nahi. Wese aapka sabhav or oonche se baat karna onhe shayad pasand aabhi jaaye agar aap onke saamne ziada bole na to.
She is appalled at his thinking.
Harsh: ha yeh sahi rahega (gives a geeky laugh) Khair yeh to hamaree rai thi shaadi ke baare me. Ab hum aapse apne dil kee baat karna chahte hai (goes and stands in front of her) ab aapko to pata hee hai ke aapke pitaji ke mrityu ke baad...
she glares at him and is upset.
Harsh: yeh pura rajya hamara hone waala hai to ham apne aap ko roke nahi paaye yeh sochne per ke agar humne onhee kee beitiyo me se ek se shaadi karli to phir sabka bhala hojaehga.
she gives him a sarcastic smile and then turns around but is amazed when she finds him kneeling down in front of her on his knee.
Harsh: ab sab kuch aapke saamne hai Sia...humne aapko hamare dil kee saaree bhavnaye batadee aapke pratik or....
Sia: Rajkumar Harsh aap hamaree...
Harsh: dekhye Sia hum jaante hai ke haisyat me hum dono me bohat bara farak hai
that doesn't please her again
Harsh: or yeh kabhi bhi mitega nahi per yakeen maanye Sia, shaadi ke baad hum is oonch neech ko hamare beech kabhi nahi aane denge.
Sia: (outraged with him) Rajkumar Harsh aap kuch ziada hee aage barahe hai. Hame hamara jawaab dene ka moka nahi derahe hai. Ab hum dete hai. Hum aapke shukur guzaar hai ke aapne hame is laayak samjha or itnee taarife kee. aapke shaadi ke pratik saaree baate bhi hame samajh me aayee per aapse shaadi karna hamare liye asambhav hai. Bilkul namumkin.
Harsh: (to her surprise he begins laughing and stands up) Hame bilkul bhi bura nahi laga Sia kyu ke hum jaante hai ke pehle her larki hamesha na hee kehtee hai kyu ke wo ha kehne se darr ti hai.
She finds him impossible and wants to slap him
Harsh: Koi baat nahi kyu ke hame hamara shaadi ka mandap kaafi nazdeek dikhraha hai
She stands excitedly and confronts him
Sia: aap itne ziddi or ghamundi niklenge hame yakeen nahi tha. Jab humne aapse kaha ke hum aapse shaadi nahi karsakte to yeh hamne apne pure hosho awaaz me kaha tha. Jo khushi hame zindagee me chaheeye wo aap hame kabhi nahi desakte or hame yeh bhi paaka pata hai ke hambhi aapko kabhi khush nahi rakh paaenge.
Harsh: Sia aap shayad jaantee nahi ke hamare paas itna bara rutba hai or phir hamara Avdhi ke maharaj ke saath rishta hona sab kuch hamara pala barha ta hai.
She turns around from him with aggitation
Harsh: Sia aap dubara apne faisle per gore kare or theek tarhase hame jawab dijye. isse behtar aapko koi shaadi ka rishta nahi aaehga.
Sia: ham aapko batade Rajkumar Harsh ke hamne jo bhi faisla liya wo soch samajh ke hee liya hai. hum on jeso mese nahi ke dusro ke liye apni khawaisho ko daba de. aapne apni dil kee baat batayee or hamne hamaree. Ab or kuch kehne ko baaki nahi raha.
Harsh: Hum aapki haalat samajh sakte hai Sia ke aap ko dikhat horahee hai ha kehne me per...
she gets really annoyed now and walks out of the room with him following but he stops at the door way as she walks off
Harsh: per hame yakeen hai ke jab ham maharaj or maharani se baat karlenge tab aap hamaree baat ko zaroor maanengee.
he is disheartened and makes a sad baby face.
Nivriti comes rushing inside her room to find the maharaj. She is really hyper.
Nivi: Maharaj! jaldi chalye aapko ek zaroori kaam karna hai. Jaldi chalye...
He looks at her with raised eyebrows as to what was the haste about
Nivi: Aapko jaldi chalke Sia ko kehna hoga ke ose Rajkumar Harsh ke saath hee shaadi karnee hogi warna agar Rajkumar Harsh ne apna irada badal diya to sab kuch khatam hojaehga.
S.M: Kya! aap kya baat karahee hai Maharani?
Nivi: ooooh hum Sia or Rajkumar Harsh ke rishte ke baare me baat karahe hai. Sia ne saaf inkaar kardiya is rishte se or ab Rajkumar Harsh bhi keh rahe hai ke wo Sia se shaadi nahi karenge
S:M: To ab hum isme kya karsakte hai (turns back to doing his work) ab to yeh maamla suljhaaya nahi jaasakta
Nivi: Aapko ose kehna hoga ke yeh aapka aadesh hai ke wo Rajkumar Harsh se shaadi kare.
S.M: (thinks over and then stands up) hmmm...theek hai. (to the daasi) Rajkumari Sia ko bulaake lao
She complies and both of them wait for Sia to come. When she does the maharaj calls her towards him and makes her sit down next to him.
S.M: Sia beta humne suna ke Rajkumar Harsh ne aapse shaadi ka prastao rakha. Kya yeh sahi hai?
Sia: (unhappy) Ji pitaji
S.M: theek hai, to aapne yeh shaadi se inkaar kardiya hai, sahi hai?
SIa: Ji humne aisa hee kiya hai.
S.M: Ab baat yeh hai Sia ke aapki maa... (looking towards Nivriti) ka yeh kehna hai ke aap is shaadi ko maanle. Kyu sahi kaha na Maharani?
Nivi: Ji Maharaj warna hum isse kabhi baat nahi karenge (hysterical crying)
S.M: ab hum kya kahe Sia...ab aapko faisla lena hai ke dono maa baap me se kiske saath aap rishta tore na chahtee hai. aapki ma aapse kabhi baat nahi karegee agar aap Rajkumar Harsh se shaadi nahi karengee or hum...hum aapse baat nahi karenge agar aapne onse shaadi kee to.
Sia is stunned to hear that and then hugs him out of joy that he was on her side. Nivriti begins her hysterics.
Nivi: oooooooooh Maharaj yeh kya kehdiya aapne (starts to weep loudly)
The noise is heard throughout the mahal and everyone knows what happened. Sawri and Bhoomi were just stepping outside when they ran into Sunaina stepping out of her carriage.
Bhoomi: ah Sunaina aap yaha kese?
Sunaina: hum to yaha Sia se milne aaye the
both Sawri and Bhoomi start gigling
Sawri: aapko pata hai Rajkumar Harsh ne Sia ko shaadi ka prastao rakha or jaantee hee hogi ke osne mana kardiya. Yeh to hona hee tha
Sunaina: hmm sach me yeh to hona hee tha per hame Rajkumar Harsh ke liye bura lagraha hai
Inside Nivriti is really angry with Sia and vows that she'll never speak to her again and storms out of the room to find Harsh standing outside but as soon as she sees him he begins to walk off denying to speak with her on the matter any further. She keeps following him trying to convince him.
Back outside...
Sawri: ma to peeche he pargayee hai Sia ke per Rajkumar Harsh kehrahe hai ke ab wo ek raat bhi nahi rukenge Sumaina me
Sunaina: acha? (frowns) to phir shayad hame onhe hamare saath Ramghar lejaana chaheeye
Bhoomi: ha ha lejao onhe...jaldi lejao ab or nahi jhail sakte onhe
Bhoomi and Sawri leave from there and Sunaina goes inside the mahal wondering about Harsh.
Inside Harsh has packed and is getting ready to leave and Nivriti is trying to stop him.
Nivi: Rajkumar Harsh, aap ek baar phirse faisla lijye
Harsh: humne jaane ka faisla karliya hai Maharani to bus. Wese jaane ka bara dukh hai per ab hum aap sabko ziada takleef nahi dena chahte. Jo chaaha tha wo ab nahi hosakta.
Sunaina: Agar aap bura na maane to hamare saath Ramghar chalenge?
Harsh: ab to jaha bhi kahenge chalenge per yahase jaarahe hai hum. Acha maharani ab hum chalte hai. Bhagwaan ne chaaha to dubara zaroor mulaqaat hogi.
then he walks out with Sunaina following and Nivriti bids them goodbye again crying out loud about her loss. It had become almost comical.
Few days later
Bhoomi and Sawri came rushing into Sia's room with some hot news.
Bhoomi: Sia! Sia! kya tumne suna?
Sia: Kya huwa Bhoomi?
Bhoomi: Abhi abhi sandesh aaya hai ke Rajkumar Harsh ne Sunaina ko shaadi ka prastao rakha or osne ha kehdi.
Sia: (utterly surprised) kya? Sunaina ne Rajkumar Harsh ko ha kehdi. Asambhav aisa ho hi nahi sakta
she stomps out of the room to find out the truth. She asks her father if she can go to Ramghar and by the afternon she reaches and straight away goes to meet Sunaina. When she does she finds Harsh boasting as usual with Maharaj Dhanraj and preparing his wedding with pomp and show. She sat with Sunaina in her room.
Sunaina: itnee hairaan kyu ho Sia? tumhe kya lagta hai ke tumne onhe mana kardiya to kya wo saari larkiyo ke liye kaabil nahi rahe
Sia: Sunaina hamara yeh matlab... (sighs and begins again) dekho hame pehle yakeen nahi huwa per agar Rajkumar Harsh ne tumhaare dil me jaga bana lee hai to hum pure dilse tum dono ke liye khush hai
Sunaina: hum jaante hai Sia tum kya sochrahee hogi... humne kabhi bhi nahi socha ke hamare liye koi khawaabo se nikal kar rajkumar aaehga. hame to bus ek accha sa ghar chaheeye jisme hum apni puree zindagee khushi se ji sakhe. Or Rajkumar Harsh ke rehne ke andaaz kee wajese hame lagta hai ke wo hame yeh de paayenge
Harsh enters the room and comes and stands behind Sunaina and then holds her hand with affection
Harsh: Rajkumari Sia aap apne saamne sabse khush insaan ko dekh rahee hai
she gives him a proper smile, truthfully happy for them
Now she returns back to Sumaina by sunset and is really upset with what Sunaina has done.
Ananya's room
Sia: Ananya, Sunaina bohat hee bari ghalatee karahee hai. Rajkumar Harsh jesa nahi koi bewacoof hoga or nahi koi kamzard. Onke saath wo apni zindagi barbaad kardegi
Ananya: Ab Sia, apni rai sab pe thope to nahi sakte na. Maana ke Rajkumar Harsh thorese bewacoof hai per logo ke saamne onkee izzat bhi to hai.
Sia nods her head in disagreement
Ananya: onke koi bhi bure iraade nahi hai or haisyat ke maamle me bhi wo kaafi acche hee hai. Onhe kaabil banatee hai
Sia: ugggh! bohat kaabil...Ananya hame pata hai ke tum kabhi aise aadmi se shaadi nahi karna chahogee jo sirf tumharee zindagi me aaraam dene me madad kare
Ananya: sahi hai per Sia sab log aisa nahi sochte na. Her koi hee alag hota hai
Sia sighs and sits down next to Ananya.
Sia: Oh Ananya (smiles at her) hame nahi lagta ke tumhe kabhi bhi yeh faisla lena parega ke tum shaadi pyaar ke liye karo ya to phir dunya kee dusri cheezo ke liye.
Ananya: ha per tum shayad aisa karsakti ho
both the girls just continue chatting and teasing each other.
Aryanagar
Everyone are in Maharaj's room and are all standing with moist eyes. Dharam is sitting next to him holding his hand and had silent tears in his eyes. Veer just arrived back at the mahal and saw the commotion in maharaj's room and began wondering what happened.
Veer: Kya huwa? aap sab aise kyu khare hai?
nobody answers him as they're all mourning so he just moves further towards Dharam and becomes desperate to know what happened.
Veer: Dharam... Dharam kya huwa? kya huwa...tum ro kyu rahe ho?
he can't answer him so he turns his face away and tries to control his painful tears but it's not possible. Then Veer looks at Maharaj lying with his face covered with the cloth. Lightening flashes as he keeps looking at it and slowly moves towards him and removes the cloth and finds the maharaj lying with his eyes closed with no life left.
Veer: yeh...yeh... (hysterical with disbelief) kya kardiya aap sab ne. Inke chehre pe kapra daakh diya to yeh saas kese le paayenge?
Mantri: Rajkumar Veer ab Maharaj, (choking on tears) nahi rahe
Veer: kya bakwaas karahe hai aap? dekhye...dekhye abhi me inhe uthaaunga. Wo zaroor apne Veer kee baat maanenge. (sits down by maharaj's side and begins shaking him) Pitaji...pitaji uthye. Uthye (trying to smile between his tears) dekhye aapka Veer aapko bula raha hai. Chalye uthye...pitaji...
Dharam comes and puts his hand on Veer's shoulder and speaks while crying himself.
Dharam: Veer ab pitaji kabhi nahi uthenge. Wo hum sab ko hamesha ke liye chore ke chalegaye hai
Veer: Nahi Dharam... me jaanta hu tum sab milke mere saat mazaak karahe ho. Per me... (tears not leaving his eyes) itnee jaldi bewacoof nahi banne waala. Chalye pitaji uthye, uthye pitaji...uthye pitaji
Dharam stops Veer and gives him the look that no he is no more. Veer can't believe it and stares at Maharaj's dead body and then he looks back at Dharam and gets up and then both the brothers hug each other fiercely with Veer crying his heart out and Dharam trying to console him but he also can't control his tears so they both cry out together mourning the loss of their beloved father.
Dharam: Senapatiji, aap isee waqt Avdhi jaaye or yeh khabar deke aaye. Rajkumari Sakshi ko... (sniffed) jaldse jald apne saath lekar aaye.
Senapati: ji maharaj.
Later that day Dharam and Veer performed the last rites of the Maharaj and cremated him. Sakshi did arrive before that and she was shattered that she didn't even get a chance to meet him for the last time. She complained to Dharam and he consoled her saying that it happened all of a sudden. In the morning he wasn't that worse but by the afternoon his health became worse and before he knew it he breathed his last breath and then everything was over. It was harder to console her than Veer but he managed and then all three sat doing his shraad for his soul to rest in peace. As Dharam performed it he saw how Veer sat as if his soul had been removed. He didn't make any movements and just sat staring at the fire with numb eyes. He had to do something to make him jovial again.
Veer was in his room remembering the maharaj and all his moments with him. He had always been there for him in his life and now when he needed him the most he had just left him. Tears again formed in his eyes and he just cursed destiny. Dharam entered.
Dharam: Veer...(puts hand on his shoulder)
Veer: (wipes his tears) ha Dharam me wo...
Dharam: Tum jaante ho Veer ke tum shayad humse kai baate chupa sako per kabhi bhi apne aasoo humse nahi chupa sakte
Veer: (stares at him with misty eyes) aisa kyu huwa Dharam? kyu?
Dharam: ab bhagwan ke aage hum kuch nahi karsakte Veer. Ek na ek din to yeh sab ka haal hone waala hai
Veer: ha per abhi... abhi to onhe kitna kuch dekhna tha...per wo... (can't continue as can't hold back his tears)
Dharam: Apne aapko sambhaalo Veer (puts arm around his shoulder) hum jaante hai ke is ghum se nikal ne me tumhe kaafi waqt lagega isliye hamne faisla kiya hai ke tumhe Aryanagar se bahar rehna chaheeye kuch din. Hamne Sakshi ko bhi waapis Avdhi behjne kee koshish kee per wo kuch dino yaha or rehna chahtee hai or bohat zidd karahee hai. Filhaal to humne oskee baat maan lee hai per Veer tumhaaree yeh halat humse dekhee nahi jaaehgee
Veer: Nahi Dharam (pulls apart and wipes his tears) me theek...theek hojaunga.
Dharam: hum jaante hai isiliye to hum tumhe Aryanagar se dhoore bhejrahe hai kuch dino ke liye. yahase dhoore rahoge to is gham se jaldi nikal paaoge
Veer: per Dharam me...
Dharam: ab tum bhi Sakshi kee tarha humse behas mat karna. Hum tumhe ek bhai hone ke naate kehrahe ha, kahi aisa na ho ke hame tumhe maharaj banke aadesh dena pare
it forms a smile on Veer's face as he knew his brother always wanted the best for him.
Veer: Theek hai maharaj, me jaane ke liye tayaar hu. Per jaana kaha hai?
Dharam: Chatrapur me Aryanagar kee tarafse mandir ban raha hai. To hamne socha ke tumhe waha behej de dekhne ke liye sab kuch theek tarhase ho raha hai ke nahi. Yeh pitaji ka sapna tha Veer ke wo mandir jaldse jald tayaar ho or wo oska stapna kare per ab wo...khair ab hum chahte hai ke tum onka yeh sapna pura karo. Tum karo ge na Veer?
Veer: (puts his hand on his heart) me waada karta hu Dharam ke me pitaji ka sapna zaroor pura karunga.
Dharam is pleased that his plan was sucessful.
Sumaina
Ananya and Sia are sitting together in Sia's room when a daasi comes and hands Ananya a sandesh informing its from Aryanagar. She takes it excitedly thinking it was another love letter from Veer but when she read it her expressions changed from happiness to sadness. Sia wondered what happned.
Ananya: Sia, Maharaj Aryavardhan kee kal mrityu hogayee.
Sia: Kya? yeh to bohat buri baat hai.
Ananya: ha or isme ye bhi likha hai ke Rajkumar Veer Aryanagar choreke jaarahe hai or pata nahi kitne din lagenge onhe waapis aane me. Shayad wo kabhi waapis aaye bhi na.
she can't read any further so she leaves the sandesh and gets up and stands by the window crying. Sia goes and picks up the message and begins reading it.
"Rajkumar Veer ka yeh faisla maharaj ke chalejaane ke baad hee huwa kyu ke wo bohat hee udaas the. Onhe kuch or suj nahi raha tha or sabse dhoore hojaana chahte the isilye wo chalegaye. Kaha gaye hai or kab tak lautenge koi nahi jaanta. Shayad ab wo kabhi bhi aapse mil nahi paayenge. Aapka onhe bhool jaane me hee bhalai hai".
Sia: Rajkumar Veer aisa kese karsakte hai?
then she walks up towards a crying Ananya and takes her in her arms and consoles her that everything will be fine and Veer will return back soon.
