N (thinks) - Kripa, Anjali....you both will pay for bringing tears in Prachi's eyes, when I have never done anything to make her cry then who are you both to do that, I will never forgive either of you
Part 17
Its been a week since the fiasco at Kavya's house, however Angad is still not on good terms with Kripa despite her numerous attempts to make things right between them and Angad's attitude wasn't helping. The current morning Kripa walks into the living room to see Angad reading through a file
K - big meeting today?
A - hmm
K - I see
Kripa looks over at Angad and frowns, she goes to him and sits by him and takes the file from him, she then takes his hand into hers
K - Angad please don't be like this, I can't take it anymore, how many times do I have to say sorry?
A - saying sorry to me isn't the only thing you need to do, you need to apologise to Anjali and Kavya
K - I'm not talking about them, I'm talking about us
A - Do you know how much loss I have incurred during this week? All because Kavya and Neev broke off the contract, and right now I have a lot of hope resting on this meeting, and you know the most important thing Kripa?
K - what...
A - I don't care about this meeting, I care about the friendship which has been ruined.....Kripa I have to go, I need to get to the meeting, I'll see you tonight
Kripa leans forward to kiss his cheek but Angad gets up and walks away leaving her feeling dejected. Angad arrives to the meeting place shortly after, he goes inside and starts his presentation, after its over he sits down while the company in question discuss the best candidate for the job, Angad smiles to himself as he has always won this contract in the previous years. He looks up to see the company's MD Mr Malhotra stand up and get everyones attention
Mr M - after careful consideration, this contract goes to....Mr Patel of Patel and Sons
Angad looks at Mr Malhotra and stands up
A - is this some kind of joke? I have always won this contract? how is it any different this year?
Mr M - sorry Mr Khanna but at the moment your reputation is not good, we have learnt that you tried to sabotage the Nanda Empire
Angad sits looking hurt and upset, he picks up his file and leaves the building, he drives back to his office only to find his business associates Mr Virani, Mr Bajaj and Mr Shah all waiting for him in his office
A - ahh gentlemen, to what do I owe this pleasure?
Mr V - Angad we're here to cancel our next project
Angad sits on his chair and faces them
A - what?
Mr S - yes Mr Khanna, there's been several rumours flying around that you befriended Mr Nanda in order to destroy his business
Mr B - I'm afraid we can't take that risk
A - but....as you said they're rumours
Mr V - like Mr Bajaj said, we can't take that risk. Here is our written agreement terminating the contract
A - just listen....
The 3 men stand up and head for the door while Angad goes after them trying to reason with them but they pay no attention and leave. Angad stands against the door with his hand on his forehead when he spots Kavya
Ka - so Khanna, hows life treating you now?
A - Kavya.....
Ka - Its a shame isn't it, people turning their backs on you, what else can be expected from a back stabber like you
A - Kavya wait a minute, just listen
Ka - I'm done listening Khanna, now its only war, I won't rest until you're ruined. Heavy price to pay for going against Kavya Nanda.....
Kavya smiles and walks off leaving Angad looking angry, he turns to his office and gets his phone, he tries to call several people but in turn they all turn Angad down. He gives up and goes back home where Kripa is waiting for him at the dinner table, he sees candles and wine and a hot meal on the table, Angad slams the door shut and throws his jacket on the sofa
A - celebrating are we?
K - Angad what are you talking about?
A - celebrating my failure....Kripa because of you....your one misunderstanding, my business is ruined
K - Angad.....sit down...
A - no! I don't want to sit down!
Angad throws the chair onto the floor causing Kripa to get scared and stand up
A - I spent my whole life earning on this business Kripa, I spent years bringing it to the heights it was at, but you.....you took it all away in a second
K - Angad please just tell me what happened?
A - what happened? you want to know what happened? I went to the meeting for Mr Malhotra's contract, you know its the most valuable one I get every year, only this year I don't
K - why...
A - why?
Angad laughs slightly
A - why.....because for some strange reason I'm no longer fit for their project, they feel I may destroy their company like I planned with Kavya's....
K - oh my gosh.....
A - that's not it.....I reach my office to find my assosicates, Mr Virani, Mr Bajaj and Mr Shah waiting to terminate their contracts with me as I'm no longer reliable
K - I'm sorry....
A - I always praised you for being the sole reason of my success.....I never knew you would eventually be the reason for my faliure
Kripa steps back from Angad as tears roll down her cheeks
A - and here you are....with your wine!
Angad picks the bottle up and throws it on to the floor causing it to smash
A - and your food
Angad throws the plates on the floor aswell and blows the candles out
A - I'm sorry if you were hoping to make things up to me....but that won't happen....not now Kripa..I'm ruined.....the name I used to be so proud of "Khanna" is soiled......
K - Angad....I never meant for this to happen....I never thought this could happen
A - thats just it.....the only thing you thought about was betraying Prachi and Anjali......and you couldn't be more wrong about them than you are....and I'll prove it to you, even if it means hunting out that son of a ***** ex-boyfriend of yours to tell you from his own mouth what a load of crap he said.....and then....you won't have Anjali.....Prachi....or me
K - you don't mean that....
A - trust me Kripa, I do, the day I prove to you what a big mistake you made in judging your friends, will be the day I leave....for good.....
K - Angad.....
Angad walks away from her slamming the door shut, Kripa walks to the sofa and sits on it and cries further watching her world fall apart. Angad goes upstairs to their room and gets changed, he sits on the bed
A (thinks) - Prithvi Bose.....the reason for all of this....I will find you, and when I do, you'll regret the day you stepped into Kripa's life.....
Angad lies back on the bed, as he does his elbow pushes against something and he hears something smash on the floor, he looks down and sees a photo of him and Kripa on their wedding day, a tear falls from his eye and he leaves the peices of glass there. He wipes the tear away only to hear Kripa's voice
K - Angad....I know you still love me
Angad looks up to see Kripa by the door, he gets up, avoids stepping on the glass and faces her as she stands by the door, he doesn't say anything but simply shuts the door on her face.
coming up - Kavya plans next move, while Anjali visits Kripa at her shop
