Prachi smiles.....later the guys are shown back in India being slaves to their wives, Angad is massaging Kripa while Kavya is cooking and cleaning and Neev is painting Prachi's finger nails and toe nails.
Part 16
A few weeks later Kavya and Anjali invite Angad, Kripa, Neev and Prachi around to their house for dinner. All are seated at the table eating and making conversation.
K - yeah I design all of Angad's outfits
Ka - really? maybe you can start designing mine?
K - sure, I have no problem in that.....excuse me, I need to use the restroom, where is it?
An - upstairs, second door to your left
Kripa smiles and leaves the table.
P - so Anjali, have you ever spoken to your parents since you and Kavya got married?
An - no, they never botherd to visit nor call so why should I?
Ka - although I have told her countless times
A - Anjali do you mind if I give you some advice?
An - go ahead
A - you may think now that you're doing the right thing by not talking to your parents, but trust me, God forbid if something happens to either of your parents, you will regret it the rest of your life
N - Angad's right, you should go see them at least, if they turn you away from the door then at least later in life you can't say you never tried
An - maybe....where's Kripa? she's taking a long time
A - I'll go check
Angad stands up and leaves the table, he goes upstairs taking the stairs two at a time, he went left and knocked on the second door
A - Kripa?
Angad pushed the door open slightly to see it empty, he turned around and decides to look for her, he checks the rooms, finally there is one left, Kavya's office, Angad pushes it open and sees Kripa swapping papers in a file, Angad steps in the room and closes the door behind him and goes to Kripa and begins talking in hushed voices
A - Kripa what the heck are you doing?
K - changing these papers
A - what? why!
K - so Mr Kavya Nanda fails to get the project he's worked so hard for
Angad looks at her
A - have you gone mad? you do remember he is your best friend's husband?
Kripa laughs slightly
K - best friend....sure
A - Kripa what the heck is going on? I thought you had sorted things out with Anjali?
K - if you think I believed a word that woman spoke then I'm sorry but you're highly mistaken.
A - what? Kripa then what has all this friendlyness been the past few months
K - Angad, the only reason I have been friends with those two women is to sabotage their businesses
A - Kripa....this is insane
K - no it isn't Angad
Angad takes the file off her
A - I'm sorry but I won't let you ruin Kavya's or Neev's business, you might not take Anjali or Prachi as your friends but I have taken Kavya and Neev as mine
K - Angad, since when has anyone else been more important than me?
A - Kripa its not about that...I don't understand why you're doing this....I thought everything was fine, but you've been acting all this while
K - I don't trust those two, and I know for a fact they were making things up that day
A - how Kripa? can you prove it?
K - I just know ok, those two who never bothered to see how I have been, all of sudden want to be friends again? yeah right, I'm telling you, they're acting as well, so before they ruin us, I'll ruin them
A - Kripa, you've gone mad, give me the papers
K - no
Before Angad has the chance to steal the papers from Kripa and put them back, she rips them
A - Kripa!
Kavya comes upstairs to find Angad and Kripa, he hears them talking in his room and opens the door and sees Angad holding his file
Ka - Angad...what are you two doing here? and what's that file doing in your hands?
A - Kavya....we were just.....
Kavya comes forward and takes the file from Angad, he opens it and sees the papers have been changed, he then sees the ripped papers in Kripa's hands
A - I can explain.....
Ka - explain what? you and your wife came here to destroy all my hard work?
A - Kavya....
Ka - Angad please, don't lie on top of doing this, I thought we had become good friends, but you? and you Kripa......Anjali was right about you
A - Kavya you're.....
Ka - get out of my room and my house now!
Angad stands there, he looks at Kripa and Kavya, Kavya pulls his arm and pulls him out. Downstairs the guys see Kavya pulling Angad
N - Kavya! Kavya what are you doing?
An- Kavya let him go!
Ka - this....guy
Kavya pushes Angad away from him, Angad stands there silently
Ka - came here with his wife so they could swap the papers I had got ready for the project my company was going to get this weekend. They only became friends with us so they could ruin our business!
An - Kripa...is this true?
K - oh come on Anjali cut the act, I know everything you and Prachi said that day was a lie
P - what?
K - stop being so innocent....just forget it, Angad lets leave
Kripa walks to the door, Angad looks at Kavya and Neev helplessly and follows Kripa outside.
P - I can't believe Kripa would do this.....
An - everything Kripa said that day was a lie......
Anjali looks at Prachi
An - how do I know the things you said were true?
P - Anjali....I....
An - please save your breath...just go please, leave me and my husband alone
P - Anju...
N - Prachi, lets go
P - but...
N - she's mad at the moment you can talk to her when she calms down, lets go
Neev and Prachi leave. Meanwhile the drive back to the Khanna house is very quiet, Kripa looks at Angad but he continues to look forward. They reach home and Angad goes straight to their room, Kripa goes after him
K - Angad...why won't you talk to me?
A - talk to you? after what you did? not only did you ruin your friendship with Anjali and Prachi but you also made sure my friendship with Neev and Kavya got ruined also. You know what else? this is going to have a major effect on our business, because no way will anyone want to work with a back-stabber like Angad Khanna......and it will be your fault
Angad throws his jacket on the floor and grabs his night suit and leaves the room. Kripa sits on the bed looking upset, she gets changed and waits for Angad to come, he does and she goes to talk to him but he turns away from her and lies on the bed facing the other way and turns his lamp off, Kripa looks sad, she lies down and turns her lamp off aswell. Meanwhile at the Nanda house Kavya and Anjali are in their bedroom
An - how could Kripa do this.....I thought everything was ok
Ka - don't talk about them anymore! I regret the day I ever decided to work with Angad Khanna, but mark my words, I will have my revenge. Angad Khanna will pay for trying to ruin our business
And at the Kapoor house, Prachi and Neev are sitting together with each other, both are silent, Neev takes Prachi's hand and puts it in his when he sees tears rolling down Prachi's eyes
N - don't worry too much, everything will be ok
P - its happening again, Kripa and Anjali are fighting and I've been caught in the middle, and despite not doing anything Anjali and Kripa are blaming me
N - shhh Prachi, come on go to sleep
Prachi closes her eyes and rests her head on Neev's shoulder and falls asleep
N (thinks) - Kripa, Anjali....you both will pay for bringing tears in Prachi's eyes, when I have never done anything to make her cry then who are you both to do that, I will never forgive either of you
coming up - Angad loses next contract, Angad's business partners refuse to work with him, all part of Kavya's first attack
