Yuvika Chaudhary opens up on struggles of her IVF journey: ‘Would take injections on my own’

Yuvika Chaudhary and Prince Narula became parents to a baby girl, Ekleen, on October 19, 2024. The couple, who tied the knot six years ago, had been trying to have a child for a while. In a recent chat with ETimes, Yuvika opened up about her IVF journey, which lasted three years.

She revealed that the process was tough, especially when she had to balance work along with multiple medical procedures. Talking about the physical pain she went through, Yuvika shared how she slowly got used to it. “Phir aadat pad gayi kabhi aap stomach par le rahe ho kabhi thighs par. There was a point when I started taking injections on my own. It became so normal and an everyday thing for me. I got used to that pain. There was hormonal imbalance as well which is not everybody’s cup of tea to handle,” she said.

Yuvika also mentioned how the hormonal changes made her feel like she wasn’t herself anymore. But through it all, her husband Prince Narula and her family stood by her. “I went through a lot in that phase and it was very difficult,” she added.

Despite the ups and downs, Yuvika said there were moments of happiness too. Becoming a mother made all the struggle worth it. “When you have your family’s support things get easy. Thankfully within the first trial of IVF, I conceived. Initially, I was not aware of the process and felt egg freezing is called IVF. But when I continued with the egg freezing process for three years that’s when I realised it is just an egg freezing process. I feel blessed that everything went well,” she said.

The actress, known for her role in Om Shanti Om, is now enjoying her new phase in life as a mother.
