#WrapUpJune: Tune in for all Television updates of June!

Where on one side, we happily welcomed the monsoons with open arms, in the month of June, the television industry did not surprise us as much as it did in the previous months. This month just came by and went and we did not even realise.

Its June end and Tellybuzz is back with the what whats' of Indian Television. Let's start with the basics.

Hello Hiees'

Names like Kamya Punjabi (Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii), Surekha Sikhri (Balika Vadhu) and Ronit Roy (24: Season 2) made it to the list of top names entering new shows. Other pivotal entries were Charu Asopa (Tashan-e-Ishq), Kajal Pisal (Saath Nibhana Saathiya) and Mohit Abrol (Gangaa).

Byee Byees'

Let us start with a name to reckon with. Karan Mehra a.k.a everyone's beloved Naitik, decided to end his 8-year long association with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. His exit was followed by lots and lots of pandemonium and blame games. To know the exact story, click on the link below.

Actors who parted with their beloved TV Shows were Indira Krishnan (Krishnadasi), Neel Motwani (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein), Avinash Sachdev and Smriti Khanna (Balika Vadhu), Mukesh Khanna (Waaris), Varun Sharma (Balika Vadhu), Shikha Singh and Arjit Taneja (Kumkum Bhagya). 

New Shows on the Block

One interesting thing that we saw this month were a variety of many new shows that we got to see. Right from the supernatural thriller Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se, to the simple tale of three brothers, we got to see it all. Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii, a show based on social stigma based on a transgender, Baazigar, a fast paced thriller, an episodic comedy Khidki and then Amma, a story of a strong-willed woman fighting all odds of a male dominated society, saw the light of the day.

Shows that bid good bye to the tube

This month has proven to be a tough time for fandoms of the below mentioned shows. All Barun Sobti fans, who were eagerly waiting for his comeback were left disheartened. His comeback show, a finite series about a con woman and a cop titled Mohra, (earlier titled as Satya Ki Kiran) got scrapped by the makers. Another huge fandom which was left disappointed was that of Karan Wahi. &TV's Kahani Hamari... Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki, that served as Karan Wahi's comeback to the TV screens after Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, was also pulled off air along with one more of their shows, Begusarai. Star Plus' most loved show, Diya Aur Baati Hum too announced its off-air date. Other shows that shut shop were Channel V's Sadda Haq- Season 2 and D4- Get Up And Dance. Sony TV's prime time show Parvarish Season 2, too bid good bye to its audience and so did Bindass' Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

Love and Only Love is in the air

Luckily for everyone, this month we did not get to witness any break-ups, which definitely justifies our title. Out came the love stories of Sonam Lamba (Saath Nibhana Saathiya) and Sonal Handa (Krishnadasi) and Rohan Mehra and Kanchi Singh (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai). Hunar Hale and Mayank Gandhi also announced their wedding to fans and so did the news of Roop Durgapal getting married, come out in the open. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's Adi (Abhishek Verma) and Ruhi (Aditi Bhatia), as well as Ankita Lokhande and Kushal Tandon too were linked together. But both sets of actors vehemently denied the link ups.

On A New Path

These successful television stars decided to spread their already broad wings and soar higher. They are Mouni Roy, Shakti Mohan, Sourabh Raaj Jain and Sonia Balani. All these stars are set to surprise their fans on the 70-mm screen.

Web Series

With the web series fad fast catching up with the makers and viewers alike, a few of our telly celebs too decided to venture out into that field. They are Shaleen Malhotra, Faizal Khan and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Actress Shilpa Shinde too joined the bandwagon of actors jumping into the world of web series, albeit as a producer.

Talk around the Town

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein was scheduled to be banned in Pakistan, reason being the Karan Patel - Divyanka Tripathi starrer showcasing some scenes that were "distasteful" and "not fit" for viewership in the country.
