Alia Bhatt ventured in Youtube to conceive content for her fans, and she recently released her first song, Prada. But, the 26-year-old is in the onset of entering the sphere of controversy.

A Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat took to her social media handle and publicly criticized Bollywood for its alleged hypocrisy. She claimed that Alia Bhatt’s music video, Prada, was stolen from Pakistani songs. She also alleged that the video contains elements from a Pakistani number named Gore Rang Ka Zamana.

Hayat went on to criticize Alia with allegations of plagiarism as she tweeted: "I find this strange. On the one hand Bollywood vilifies Pakistan at every opportunity they get. On the other, they continue to steal our songs without so much as an acknowledgment. “Copyright violation” and “royalty payments” obviously mean nothing."

However, Alia Bhatt has been given the benefit of doubt as she only featured in the song and never sang any of the lyrics. The Kalank actress has been placed as a banner to Prada forefront.

Meanwhile, Alia has been silent about the whole debacle evoked on August 23, 2019. And according to the reports in Asian Age, her close friends feel it was very wrong of the Prada composers The Doorbeen to put her in such an uncomfortable situation.

Her close friend said, “She trusted them and surrendered to their vision, and they have compromised Alia. She is very unhappy about the situation.”

While, it has been disheartening for Alia, to face the accusations, she has reportedly decided to pull down the song from her channel.
